All I can say is Dr Charles is the Best -- I had 2 2000 graft procedures, could of been one at one time but decieded to split the 4000 into 2 procedures. One in sept 04 and one on june 15,2005 For picture results My photos are on this site at the Hair Transplant Photo Albums "Dr. Glenn Charles performs 2 sessions of over 2,000 grafts each (Personal Album)". Dated on 06/15/2005.. both before and after of the procedures are there. Remember my second procedure was just done on jun 15 and it shows what you will look like hours after the procedure! Let me start by telling you who is Dr Charles. Professional and very Expertise in his field! He takes his time - explains everything in detail - no matter how many questions is asked. Very personal and gets to know what you want in the final result. He takes time and doesnt push you for you to make a decision right there on the spot. He shows you want the actual procedure will be, shows you the office and rooms. Takes pics and explains what to expect. Basically he will answer everything that you will throw at him. He is a family man. After the initial consultation visit HE will not call you - Like some pushy sales person of the clinics I went to - and to this day they still call me!! Basically this Doctor Charles is one stand up character. Everybody asks me -what about the pain, healing process, expectations??? "PAIN" Only pain is really the medication to numb the donated area.. thats it. very simple. the surroundings are very homey and comfortable that the procedure is actually being done while your watching a movie! The procedure looks painful but Dr Charles makes sure your laidback and that you are very comfortable feelin no pain! even after the procedure. Sure its sore for a few weeks. I experience NO swelling. HEALING PROCESS" - A secret - I Highly recommend this! Dr Charles told me to use Use good old Florida "OCEAN" WATER on the grafted area! of course only after the second day of the procedure - this will scab the area much faster and the healing process will be so quick. I thought he was nuts but on both procedures I did this and IT WORKS! Of course the first procedure took a longer time to heal and expectations were unknown as I had a huge area that needed to be filled in but the second procedure took less than 7 days to heal and while my stitches from the back of my head were being removed, I noticed that about 98% of all the scabs were gone and it looked very healed - most of the redness was gone and I was very excited. Which due to this I actually only needed to wear my baseball cap for a week. Crazy to think to use ocean water. And Nobody really noticed anything after the second procedure! Minimal Hair Shock occurs but is minimal and after reading about it I was really not worried about it as it grows back in no time. "EXPECTATIONS" This is the part which people dont understand. Everyone is different for healing and growing. Im a in the latter portion of growing. My first procedure was in sept 04 and after waiting and waiting and waiting for results - it took about 9 months to actually see some good hair. Comparing photos is where you see the diffence. With being all excited after seeing the bald area with hair I wanted to get another 2k done so I will be ready for some excellent Christmas photos with my new friends! Remember some people start seeing results in 3 5 7 months - it all depends on that certain individual.. All in all Dr Charles is Awesome - I highly recommend him. He is very personable and very upfront. Call me after the procedure and periodically calls you in a monthly fashion to see how its going. Give you his Cell phone and you can call him anytime. "STAFF" His staff is very professional! Very comfortable surroundings and has a very very very cute office manager which actually makes going to a doctors office fun and an awesome Experience! But all in all this guy is top notch. What makes him special is he only schedules one procedure a day. thats it! I went to bosley, shapiros and all the other clinics to get info for 2 years and did some research on the internet and came across this site of where I found DR. Charles. There are alot of good Docs who specialize in this and Im glad Im found Dr Charles, met with him twice and picked him to do my transplant procedures!
