  1. flyguy, I am quoting this from Dr. Rassman's website FAQs. What if my hair turns gray or white? – Believe it or not, the stubble from white hair (and most colors of hair) is GRAY when you shave close to the skin. Just look at blond men with a close shave and you will see the gray shade where the hair exits the scalp. We try to match the shade of pigment based on your skin and hair color. If you have dark hair now and it turns gray later on in life, the underlying shade will blend despite the hair color change because SMP covers the entire scalp (not just the bald areas). my take on this is why go under the knife when there is a non-surgical option available. i have had 3 HTs, that is why i am saying this. check out the SMP website and see the before and after pics. i haven't had SMP yet but i am thinking about it. We need Bill's input on this too. Bill, what do u think about SMP? have u met anyone in person who's had SMP. Thanks.

  3. I would say, instead of Scar Revision, go for SMP (Scalp Micro Pigmentation). Dr. Bill Rassman of new hair institute does good SMP. I am reading good reviews about his SMP. On one of the before and after SMP pics on Dr. Rassman's website, I read this and I am going to quote here. "But the donor scar was noticeable despite numerous attempts to revise the scar."
  4. hi bhim, congrats on your 1st HT. your pics look good, nice clean work. its too early to say anything about the results. but you got more singles and doubles and just 280 multiples, which can have a thinner look but again you will have to wait for atleast 6 months to see a significant difference. why didn't the doc give you more grafts in the back and crown? just to get an idea, what was the cost of your HT? thanks.
  5. Dr. Mohmand, Thanks for your reply. with 20 grafts per sq cm, this is too beautiful of a work. the smile on the patient says it all.
  6. SteelWorker, I agree with mahhong and Future_HT_Doc. be patient and hope for the best. where did you have your surgery and whats the name of your doc? Can you post some pics?
  7. Dr. Williams, the results look very nice and clean. when you said, "1027 three and four hair family units" do you mean the patient got all 3 and 4 hair grafts? of those 1027 grafts, didn't he have any 1 or 2 hair grafts? Thanks.
  8. Hi SHANGLA, these are excellent results. for the 2nd session, did the Doc gave the patient a new scar or did he use the already existing scar? Thanks.
  9. littlewolf, Its a pretty good offer from the doc as SHANGLA said, "Dr. Humayun will not only offer you complementary surgery, but because you are a foreigner and especially traveled to Pakistan for HT surgery, will also offer free 2 nights stay, food, and 50% economy class ticket to Pakistan." not every doc offers this, if I were you I would take it but obviously the decision is yours.
  10. littlewolf, with all 2440 grafts in the front, you should have gotten a much much better result than what you have right now. may be Dr. Mohmand's techs were having a bad day when you had your procedure. I would definitely talk to the Doc, he may reimburse you for the lost grafts or he might throw in some free grafts if you decide to go for a 2nd procedure with him. keep us posted. good luck.
  11. Check out costco guys. i got 100 pills from costco for $83.
  12. I don't take the whole proscar pill. I cut the 5 mg pill into 2, so i am taking 2.5mg EOD. or if you like you can cut the pill into 4 pieces and take it every day. are you taking 1/4 tablet every other day?
  13. I am taking finasteride 5 mg every other day. Its easier to cut the pill into two. i talked to 2 docs and both recommended that taking it every other day is also as effective. plus its so cheap. i got 100 pills from costco for $83. you don't have to be a costco member to buy medicines there.
  14. hopefully hatless, did you get the HT yet? where did you go? Thanks.
  15. Bill, Good to hear from you, thanks for your input. I agree with you that Dr. Rosanelli does solid work, the pics says it all. since he has recommended 1500 grafts, sdj254 should be just fine.
  16. Hi Bill, I have seen Dr. Rosanelli's after photos on this forum and on his website, and the after photos look good. I see he is recommended on this forum but he is not a Coalition member. so a few questions for you: 1. Why should sdj254 not have an HT done by a Coalition Doc? 2. what is the difference between a coalition doc and a non-coalition doc? 3. Can sdj254 achieve the same results with dr. Rosanelli as he would have achieved with a coalition doc? Thanks.
  17. jay22, sorry to hear that. this doc is a slacker. i don't know how he gets away with this kind of sloppy work. we should file a lawsuit against this idiot. lukasewitz did my HT in sept 2007 and I got 2100 grafts. I have shared my experience with you earlier on this thread. he shouldn't be allowed to do hair transplants anywhere in this country. this lunatic wasted not only my money and time but more importantly the limited donor grafts that I had. I demand the administration of this forum to come forward and do something about this, otherwise he is gonna keep destroying people's lives.
  18. Hi DD, I agree with Atomic, you should be fine. I joined this forum after having my 2nd HT and i regret that. should have joined earlier. H&W are coalition members and you can see their results (before and after pics). Can you post some of your pics? how old are you? who is gonna do your HT, would it be Dr. Victor or Dr. Jerry? Thanks.
  19. PD, Thanks for your feedback. I am satisfied with my front, i just need some grafts in the crown area. as you can see in the pics, there is a bald spot in the crown. I use toppik to cover the crown and it works well but i just want a natural solution. i have been on propecia since sept 2005.
  20. PD, I had my HT almost 2 years back and want to have another one now. What do you think, how many grafts do I need to get density in the crown? Thanks.
  21. Hi All, I need your feedback. Please see my gallery for before and after pics. I want to have another HT. How many grafts do I need in my crown so that I don't have any bald spot or any thinning areas? has anyone had any experience with http://www.newhairmd.com/ Hows their reputation? Thanks.
  22. Thanks to all of you for your feedback.
  23. Thank you all for your feedback. I will keep you guys posted regarding any reimbursement from the doc.
  24. you can check out my comments at http://hair-restoration-info.c...66060861/m/936104521 i don't know anyone else who has gotten good or bad results with this doc. but to see your final results, you will have to wait for 1 year. be patient and hope for the best.
