  1. I hear what your saying guys and I completely agree - I guess its just the post op blues for now, good days and bad days.....once bitten twice shy and all! Anyway cheers chaps, your thoughts are bang on.
  2. This raises an interesting point, one that I believe many hair transplant recipients don't or didn't initially understand. A hair transplant ultimately doesn't cure hairloss, it merely buys you a little time then you have to go through this again and again and again. A combination of a hair transplant and meds is obviously the best course of action but don't you guys who have gone through this fear for the future? Fear for when you'll have to go through this again? Fear of not knowing what lies around the corner? There's just so many variables that one cannot predict and I have to say I'm currently petrified for the future. Hopefully this will subside!
  3. Good post telephone man, I think this is the single most important fact that young guys have to understand (me included). I got an Ht at 23, a bad one and have recently just undergone repair work, The psychological and emotional issues that this puts you through are second to none. Young guys often view hairloss as "the end of the road", it steals away their youth and their desperate to cling it back. You have to understand that the single most important fact that you can ever learn is confidence is far more important. This whole ordeal has robbed me of my confidence, hopefully I'll get back on my feet one day but I dread the future. I dread the day when I'll have to go through this again, I dread having to put my family (if I'm so lucky) through this in the future. If I could turn back the clock and know what I know now I would have never have done it. I would have gone on with a receding hairline and shaved it off when the time was deemed appropriate. I truly believe this is the best option for a lot of yound guys, be young and free from all your worries - thats the best advice anyone can ever give you.
  4. Just wondering if any posters had comments on these vitamins? They seem to contain all the important vitamins etc for healthy hair. I just figure its important to maintain healthy hair if your attempting to either improve or regrow any? Cheers guys
  5. Forget about Nobel, I wish I could - a shocking decision, a shocking practice with abysmal ethics. They don't deserve to grace this earth, its that simple. You don't realise that you have just saved your life! Onto our American friends. My 'over the pond' geography is not great but in Toronto there's ****** (known for aggressive hairlines), in Vancouver you have *************. You'll have to work out a few specifics first, FUE vs strip, number of grafts etc. The best way is to do research yourself. By the way how old are you? Other Docs I've heard are amongst the best in the US are ******* (Minneapolis I think - Strip), **** (Cincinnati - FUE & Strip), **** (Atlanta - FUE & Strip), ****** (New York - FUE & Strip). There's more obviously but these are the ones I hear about most. I've edited this post cos certain Docs can't be mentioned here but a few wee searches around the Internet and you should find the top guys pretty easily.
  6. Sorry, can I apologise to Pat and Robert - I posted names of Docs cosI thought I was on another site........idiot! Anyway my apologies, I understand if you can't post it although I would very much appreciate you e-mailing me in private and letting me know the reasons why. As to this post, you'll probably have to do your own research but make it extensive and yes, head over the pond.
  7. Hey mate, I just wrote you a reply but I'm not sure if it'll be posted as apparently I used a trigger word (most likely the name of a Doc that I didn't realise I wasn't allowed to use). Anywa good job on your Nobel avoidance - you've just saved your own life! I'm currently fighting the battle of recovery after their butchering!
  8. I made a post earlier regarding Doctors but it was deleted and I was just wondering why? Just so I know for future reference, maybe it was one of the Docs I mentioned. I'd appreciate knowing though. Cheers.
