  1. Any suggestions on how to use toppik etc. 4 weeks after FUE shave? Directly use the bottle on the scalp and rub or tap above scalp or use the accessory spray bulb ? Any other suggestion would be appreciated.
  2. There is a big list of things. What specific instruction are you asking about ? Is your done ?
  3. This may have been discussed elsewhere but there are so many threads it gets confusing. i’m considering topical treatments (only) at this time to stabilize. 1. Any suggestions what is the best/most effective topical only option regardless of side effects. If I get side effects I can tone it down and discuss with my doctors. 2. which is best vendor for getting this topical option and is it spray/foam or droplet. I have been using Hims topical minoxidil foam for last 6-9 months but results have been questionable. I’m not confident it has stabilized. The use was however limited to 2-3/ week once a day only due to significant seborrheic dermatitis. I think I may have found a way around this side recent by using hair dryer rather than letting hair dry naturally. I generally keep my hair long and have an oily scaly so have dealt with seborrhic dermatitis for years. This has been worse as I now try to avoid the towel also to dry my hair due to the fear of losing hair due to abrasive towel drying and this has made dermatitis worse. Believe it or not I only just started using the dryer and felt a major difference. Never used it all my life until now. Sorry for the long post and thanks again.
  4. I will share them shortly. Came back to a fairly busy schedule. Unlike some of our other members I’m camera shy and do not want to disclose my identity. I need to edit the pics to that effect. Please give me some time.
  5. He quoted me a different price for FUT if we went that route. I think he bases it on the complexity of surgery. FUT was a bit cheaper than FUE even though projected no of grafts were a bit more. Regardless you are in the ballpark I believe unless you need something out of ordinary. Quoting Dr K himself ‘ you have to a pay a price for quality’
  6. I'm no expert in hair restoration but Id like to present a different opinion from a doctor's perspective. Meds and surgery are different things. For Eg. I did HT to avoid being on meds forever. I'm an MD and I know what these meds could mean. Sure they may have minimal side effects but at the same time we are talking of folks in 20s and 30s being on meds forever. The list of meds will grow later in life. If I had hair like you and I dint want meds I may try concealers before HT (assuming you progress in future). Just my 2 cents. There is no perfect answer
  7. Melvin is a legend. He should write a book. Thanks a lot. I will try this.
  8. Need some tips from fellow HT folks. I’ve been advised to sleep in a recliner/incline angle for 2 weeks (min 1 week). So far this has been the hardest part of recovery. I can barely sleep an hour or 2. Any tips or suggestions that others have done will be appreciated.
  9. Just send him an email and he can tell you. He is as professional as it gets and I’m sure he will reply back. Just know he’s not in it for money.

  11. Staybridge suites. Decent and 3 min drive. Just need to kill time. Paid through a cashiers cheque.
  12. This is donor area post op day 2. Honestly I’m surprised it looks this way (in a good way) compared to what I have seen others post.
  13. I'll post pics soon. The reason I haven't yet is because I don't have them myself. Dr K took multiple pics with original hair, hair cut with guard finally with the 0 buzz cut - each with target area markings. I asked the staff and they said Dr K will email them to me.
  14. There is no second procedure. It's one and done.
  15. He did not quote me a price based on no of grafts but I suspect it’s 15$ each for FUE and 10$ each for FUT. We were initially planning on FUT but he later said FUE can give you similar if not better results with fast recovery and no scar. I’m basing the above numbers based on the prices he quoted me for the 2 surgeries.
  16. I’m an occasional visitor to this forum but have enjoyed whatever I’ve read. I felt it was my responsibility to briefly share my experience. I had a 2173 graft FUE with Dr Konior this week A bit about myself - I’m probably a NW III with a partial vertex ( per Dr K). I have contemplated restoration for about 2 years after a friend commented on my hair loss and left me embarrassed. After a brief search I zeroed in on Dr K through some help from the forum. I never consulted any other surgeon. After a few initial email exchanges I could tell he’s a thorough professional who loves his art and not a businessman. I can also tell because I’m an MD Myself. We finally got a date in April after multiple delays. my experience with him was exactly as how others have described. He gives you his gestalt but then leans on you to make his final plan. Ultimately he puts you first. he was involved in every part of the procedure from start to finish including buzz cutting you. a thing I’ve not heard others mention in the forum was a comment he made that my donor area was exceptionally good (strong/dense/thick/heavy etc) and stated it is similar to a much high implant number then someone with thinner donor hair. I’m not sure if others hear this or could it be a thing he said to make me feel good about my future result. he also saw me post op day 1 even though he was on vacation. I will share pre and post soon. Keeping fingers crossed. Just need to get through the first 4 months of ugliness.
