  1. Wow. This is inspiring. Thanks for regularly updating this thread.
  2. Wow, looks great. Seems like the SMP minimized the effect of the ugly duckling phase. Nice ink as well 👍
  3. Ok that's very relieving to hear, thank you for the advice.
  4. @Re2f2e1 Hey can you update this post if you find any other surgeons near Nader? I was able to schedule an appointment (he'll give you estimated grafts and a calendar link) but haven't heard since, so I may be in the same boat as you.
  5. @gtyler By consistent do you mean just keep following up regularly? And have you had communication with his office since your appointment was scheduled?
  6. @Hairman1984 Did you ever get a response? I also have a scheduled appointment but haven't heard back in months, but I've been following up once a month.
  7. He ended up getting back to me, and it seems like there are no more openings for the next year. He told me he'd follow up if anything changes though.
  8. I also contacted using the form here and initially I was getting responses within a few days but now it's been a couple months. Is there a different line of contact we should try?
  9. Thanks for the comprehensive pictures. Looking great That must be a great feeling, I imagine it's even somewhat relieving. Very inspiring to see, thanks for sharing. What was the timing like between first contacting Dr. Nader and going in for your procedure? I also saw in your other thread that you mentioned diffuse thinning and having a "see-through" look. I actually can't even tell in your pre-op pics, but I'm curious how the progress has been with that as well (I'm in the same boat).
  10. Hey thanks for replying. I don't but can upload in the morning. My current hair definitely isn't that bad, I've just been planning on the surgery for several years because the thinning is severe enough that I always need fibers. This wedding came up more recently, after I was already planning to do the HT. This is a valid point. I agree with you, though I will say that it's not really me thinking about trying to squeeze in surgery before this event, but rather me considering postponing surgery because of the event. Those may be two sides of the same coin though.
  11. By feasible I mean, would it be possible to have passable hair by shaving down the sides and using fibers on top? I've spoken with two doctors, one who is available 40 days before the wedding and the other 10. I ask about the 10 because it seems like potentially that would be right before the ugly duckling phase. Or does it seem like both of these are too soon, and it would be better to just postpone the HT for afterwards? For more background, my donor area is fairly thick and I'm not planning to change my hairline much, more just filling in some diffuse thinning in the scalp. Thanks for your help, the stories from these forums have been inspiring and I'm looking forward to contributing back with my journey.
