  1. Thanks mate! And I hope everything goes smoothly with you, good luck with it all and I look forward to seeing some updates from yourself. 😃
  2. Hello! I have no issues with the design at all, it’s just the density at the moment. I had one side growing quicker the whole time but I was hoping the other side would have caught up by now. Just hoping it does eventually.🤞 Hope the photos are better for you to see.
  3. Apologies for the late update! I can’t say I’m over the moon with the results so far but it’s definitely a huge improvement. I was expecting a lot better now though! (12 months tomorrow since I had the operation). I’m more than happy with my left side but my right side has definitely not grown as good, it was like this for the past 6 or so months but I was expecting it to catch up. A lot of stuff online says it can grow up to 18 months post op so I will cross my fingers and hope for the best! 🤞 I’ll attach my before photo and photos from today so you can see the progress 😃
  4. I also went with Dr Turan, 5 months ago! Looks like a very similar case to mine Your pictures all look very good to me so far! They told me to keep my head straight and don’t look down at all, so be very careful! I can see you’re looking down in the photos, it will cause bad swelling around the eyes I look forward to updates, happy growing!
  5. Fuecapilar - Dr Turan is a great place to start your research. I got mine done 3 weeks ago and was very happy with the experience and with the results so far.
  6. Looks great so far! I look forward to seeing the updates 😄 happy growing my friend!
  7. Dr Bicer and Dr Gur are great shouts, I went with Dr Turan (same clinic as Dr Gur, Fuecapilar) and they are great, had a good experience with them. 😁
  8. I finally received my surgical report for anyone who is interested. 😄
  9. There are a few great clinics in Turkey. After researching myself for a few months, I chose to go with Dr Turan at fuecapilar just over two weeks ago. Don’t trust every review you see on google. Do some research and then do more, and more. This site really is a lifesaver with a great community. 😄 Fuecapilar is a great place to start your research 👍
  10. Looking good so far mate! I went with Fuecapilar also, but with Dr Turan. I think we are both around the same stage 2-3 weeks post transplant. Both doctors seem to do very nice consistent work it’s good to see 👍 keep us updated!
  11. Do your research, there are some very good clinics in Turkey. I went to Fuecapilar and I’m very happy with my experience and how things are going. Very affordable also. (I got 2329 grafts for around £3k) but yes do your own research! Took me a good few months before being happy with my choice 😁
  12. Thanks bud. Not been back to work yet, I’m back next Tuesday. I told quite a few people I was getting it done so shouldn’t be too many surprises.
  13. Little update 10 days post transplant The scabs are pretty much all gone which is a relief, starting to feel a bit normal! Began putting foam onto transplanted area for 1 hour before washing, I done this from wash 1-7 and then I put it on for 2 hours from wash 8-10, which I think has really helped get rid of the scabs. On around day 4-6 the pain in the donor area was quite bad, was like a burning, sensitive and itchy feeling. Didn’t really bother me during the day but trying to sleep wasn’t great, kept waking up every 2 hours in discomfort. That didn’t last too long though and I’m feeling okay now. 😄 I can finally go back to sleeping laying down flat! Happy days 😁😁 I have a photo of my scabby head from around 4-5 days in, and a photo from today.
  14. I just got back around 10 days ago from having my transplant done at Fuecapilar, it was with Dr Turan and I was very happy with the whole process. He didn’t do the extraction but he did the hairline design and implantation which was all good. Hospital and hotel were very nice, felt looked after and everyone was very friendly. 😄
  15. I went with Fuecapilar - Dr Turan 9 days ago (DHI), was very happy with the whole process and with how it all looks so far. I was Norwood 3 and got 2329 grafts. Dr Turan did the hairline design and the implantation, he didn’t do the extraction he had someone else do that. I went with the DHI technique because I believe it makes the hairline look more natural and the transplant area bleeds less and heals faster. I think I read somewhere that DHI is better than FUE with the density also. 😁
  16. I would highly recommend Fuecapilar, I am 9 days post transplant with Dr Turan. If you have any questions then let me know 😁
  17. I’m 29, Dr Turan advised me to start taking Finasteride and Minoxidil yes.
  18. Thanks 😁 it was the next available slot, although somebody did drop out and a spot became available but it was a bit too soon for me.
  19. Thank you! After my first wash they went through all the details with me in person, I’ve asked on WhatsApp if I can have it all sent over to me because it’s hard trying to remember everything.
  20. Got told all the details yesterday, was expecting to keep the paperwork for myself to look at but it didn’t happen, was around 2320 grafts if I remember correctly, so very accurate to what they originally quoted me from the pictures.
  21. Thanks mate! Total cost was €3250 hotel included, just needed to book flights.
  22. I’ll get this information tomorrow, I will share it on here when I get back to the UK 👍
  23. Well where to start, I was thinking for the last year to get a hair transplant and after a lot of research online one clinic stood out to me which was of course Fuecapilar. The thought of flying to a different country and getting a hair transplant scared the life out of me, but I have nothing bad to say about my experience. Firstly, the advisor which I first spoke to on WhatsApp was very helpful and made everything very simple for me. I had to send photos/videos over so the doctor could examine and see what work would need to be done. After a few days he came back to me with a detailed document explaining how many grafts I would roughly need judging from the photos (2250-2500 FUs, Norwood 3) the price, all about the doctor and his techniques and what the plan would be if I was to go ahead with it all. There was no pressure put on me like I had received from other clinics (really put me off). After a while of consideration and more research I decided to take the plunge and to go with it, I booked July 22nd to have my transplant on November 23rd. I felt like everything was made so easy for me! I collected my bags and the driver was waiting for me, he took me to the hospital for a blood test, then he took me to the hotel. The next day the driver was waiting for me at the hotel to take me to the hospital for my transplant where I would meet my translator Jon. Jon was extremely polite and helped me through the whole process in the hospital, I never felt lost or confused and he was always there to answer any questions. I was also very impressed with how they designed my hairline and examined my hair, they took quite a long time measuring my face to make sure the hairline was going to be a good match, which I thought was good! Definitely something I don’t want the doctor to rush. 😁 Onto the actual transplant, Jon talked me through what to expect in the first few steps so I wasn’t going in blind. I’m not going to lie the anaesthetic needles put into my head, some of them were very painful, some not so much but it’s definitely worth the pain in the end (I hope). I had someone different to Doctor Turan doing the extraction but the gentleman was very polite and was talking to me about football with it being during the World Cup, so that experience I was quite relaxed. Dr Turan himself does the implantation, although his English is not great, I had Jon there to help. If I ever could feel any of the needles all I had to say was ‘pain’ and he understood to give me more anaesthetic. Once the anaesthetic is given to me I could literally feel nothing and it ended up being quite relaxing after a while 😄 I had probably a 3 hour sitting and then it was lunch time where they gave me so much food 🤣 then I sat for another 2 hours maybe and then they gave me some fruit which was nice, then I sat the final sitting which was maybe 2-3 hours. I got picked up from my hotel at 8am and I returned back around 5:30pm. The only negative from the whole experience would be that my girlfriend wasn’t allowed to stay in the hospital once the transplant had started, she was there when my head got shaved and my hairline was designed which was nice, but would’ve been great to have her there the whole time but wasn’t the end of the world 😄 Once the transplant had finished Jon my translator gave me my little care package with some tablets and sprays and told me everything that I needed to do and not to do. This was all written down and given to me too which was good. I am now 1 day post transplant and I don’t have that much pain at all, I call it a half headache but it’s nothing to moan about. I have a little bit of blood that is leaking through the bandage on the back, I guess this is normal but will have to wait for tomorrow when I go back to the hospital. The annoying bit is trying to remember to keep my head upright all the time and be wary of my head hitting stuff (I am 6ft 3, it happens sometimes 🫣) and sleeping on my back at 45 degrees but it’s not too bad! There is also a lot of other people getting work done who stay at the hotel so it’s completely normal being bandaged up. You will not stand out in the crowd put it that way 😁. The hotel I stayed at is 4 star and is a 5 minute drive to the hospital, the workers at the hotel are amazing and so helpful! They try to teach me some Turkish and I try to teach them some English 😂. Obviously my journey is far from finished as my transplant was only yesterday, I still have to go back to the hospital tomorrow to get my first wash and then it’s time to go home! I am a little bit eager posting this I guess as I haven’t had any results obviously, but I will post them along the way. I thought today is a rest day in the hotel so why not start the post now 😁 Based on the experience that I received yesterday I would recommend Fuecapilar and Dr Turan highly. If anyone has any questions feel free to throw them my way and I’ll do my best answering 😁 I’ll attach one of the photos I originally sent to the advisor of my hairline, and what it looks like 1 day post transplant.
