  1. Thank you! I will have to research that and consider it. Appreciate the advice!
  2. I’m starting my hair loss journey and reading as much as I can and finding myself asking question’s specific to my situation and wondering how those variables impact my potential decisions. A bit about me: I’m nearly 50 years old and come from a family line with zero male pattern baldness issues. Both my grandfathers died in their mid 90’s with full glorious heads of hair. My father has full hair with the slightest of widows peaks. I had weight loss surgery (an uncommon kind) over 15 years ago and lost over 200 pounds and am in great shape. As a result of that surgery I take daily multivitamins, calcium, zinc and get a full battery of blood work done annually to track all sorts of vitamins, proteins, etc. Like 15 vials of blood worth. About 7-8 years ago I started TRT therapy which was a lifesaver from a mental health and quality of life perspective. I get tested 2x a year and always within range (high range) for my age. About 5 years ago I started developing a bald spot that had slowly grown to the state you see in the link below today. I started daily 1mg Finasteride just over 2 years ago. I haven’t started minoxidil or any other treatment. I’m ready to do something about it and I see that next step as a transplant. I’ve started researching clinics/docs here and elsewhere. Should I be looking at a doctor that specializes in the crown area? Or given the fact that the bald spot has been slowly increasing over the years is that not as important? Would I be a candidate for not having to shave all my head? Or is shaving it all considered the best practice? I’m not opposed to traveling anywhere in the world to have the transplant done (I’m located in the PNW) I’m also the type that’s taking an approach to my clinic selection that I don’t necessarily need the Porsche or Ferrari as I’m 50, happily married, and most of my years are behind me and not in front of me. I don’t need the new Porsche when a quality new Honda Accord will absolutely suffice. Which leads into physical/clinic selection. I haven’t been able to find this out yet but are the clinics listed here on this site sponsored and paying to be on this “list”? I’ve seen some recommended that aren’t listed (Dr Nader in Mexico is one that I don’t see) on the site. Knowing what you know from me how would you proceed? Would you be doing something else before a transplant or just jumping right into it and moving forward with a particular clinic?? Thanks for any and all advice! https://imgur.com/a/YANPLNO
