  1. Bill, With all do respect, I am not the one who owes anyone an explanation! I am not the one who stated that the positives of propecia far outweigh the negatives! I suggest that you demand an explanation along with 'supporting' evidence from the 'one' who 'stated' that the positives far outweigh the negatives! Bill, I must be frank! I am suprised at your less that impartial attitude! As a professional, i have always valued this site as a forum of impartiality! With all do respect, 'I' am not the one who posted an allegation without 'any' supporting evidence! I suggest that you direct your 'bark' at the one who posted the allegation about propecia without any supporting evidence! With respect to your allegation that I flaunted my profession, i suggest that you re-visit the U.S. Constitution. If I remotely believe that someone is attempting to mislead either myself or the general public, i have an ethical obligation to call them to task! The next time that you take issue with me expressing my, or any other members, right to proof of any allegation set forth by any other member of this site, such as Mahhong, I will be there to set the record straight! And to think that i suggested this site to countless other professionals in my community who suffer from MPB! I must say that i am embarrassed by your response to my post. Utilizing your logic, anyone is free to post any misleading statements without any supporting evidence on this site, and, if someone posts a challenging response, god forbid they do so withoutnot posting countervailing evidence! The result would be equivalent to your posting attacking me! Your logic defies all concepts of legality and impartiality. However, i am willing to bet my net worth that you will attempt to portray 'me' as the bad guy for demanding supporting evidence for mahhong's unsupported allegations! I cannot wait to share your response!
  2. Mahhong, My childhood friend has been a urologist for more than 15 years. The day that i asked him to write me a prescription for propecia, i also asked him if there was any physiological evidence to support the OCEAN of reported negative side effects as reported on countless web sites. His response was....ABSOLUTELY! He also advised me that it is commonplace for most physicians to downplay reports of negative side effects as being merely PSYCHOSOMATIC! He also told me that he has always believed that such misleading medical advice constitutes a complete and inexcusable derogation from the hypocratic oath by which all physicians are bound! With respect to your allegation that the positive cases far outweigh the negative, I, and my Urologist friend, would like you to disclose the identity of the scientific study upon which you base your allegation. I come from a family of trial attorneys and as a trial attorney with 'vast' trial experience i have examined, cross-examined and subsequently discredited countless medical and lay 'experts' who have generated reports that were not worth the paper that they were written on! I understand that you would like to have a discussion on this issue but please do not start the discussion by 'stating' that the positive cases far outweigh the negative. this is simply 'not' true!
  3. Mahhong, Instead of "trying to play devils advocate on the people who report negative side effects of propecia," I suggest that you ignore the bull**** 'nonscientific' statistics that may or may not have been reported and focus on the 'physiologically' and 'scientifically' confirmed results that have been reported on the use of propecia. The results are staggering! The side effects are 'clearly' 'not' psychosomatic as you sugges!
  4. Bouningsoul10, You are not alone. The more research you do, the more you will find that there are countless men such as you and I that simply cannot tolerate the side effects of propecia. I was also told that the side effects might eventually subside with continued use but it never happened. Prezident
  5. Default609, I stopped taking propecia because it caused extreme lethargy, not to mention the problems with erectyle dysfunction. Also, I am a trial attorney and simply could not perform with the same spontanaety or energy level that i could while not using propecia. Prezident
  6. With respect to the issue of side effects from meds, i always feel compelled to point out the obvious. Remember, every human being that ever walked the face of the planet possessed a different set of fingerprints. Likewise , every human being that currently walks the face of the planet possesses a different set of fingerprints. Accordingly, every human being will have a different physiological response to any given medication that they subject their body to. I happen to be a human being that is very sensitive to the side effects of any medication that i put into my body. I, like millions of men, cannot tolerate the side effects of propecia. Accordingly, i believe that it is very important that all forum members keep this in mind when posting responsive comments! Unlike some members, i have had to endure and experience the loss of not only native, but also, transplanted hair because my body cannot tolerate the side effects of propecia. I know that i am simply reitterating the obvious but i ask that our newer members keep this in mind prezident
  7. Janna, While I am on the mend I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank you, Matt, Dr. Ron and the entire staff of techs for my truly wonderful HT experience with SMG this past Monday October 26. There was never a moment that I did not feel completely relaxed and confident with the level of competency and professionalism of everyone involved. I also find it extremely noteworthy, especially for those considering a HT, that I was particularly impressed by everyones, including Dr. Ron's, patience! Patience is truly a virtue and in my opinion that patience made my experience with SMG a grandslam! A HT is, without saying, extremely tedious work but you guys made it look easy because it was obvious that everyone genuinly cared not only about the patient in the chair, but also the patients results. As a fellow professional, I must say that I have a world of respect for Dr. Ron because of the truly wonderful, appreciative and 'down to earth' relationship that he has with every member of his staff. To me, the relationship that a doctor has with his staff has an unquestionable impact and impression on every patient. Dr. Ron = A world class 'down to earth' surgeon! it doesn't get any better than that folks! Prezident
  8. Armani-Patient, Did Dr. Armani ever give you an explanation for why you had such a poor result?
  9. It is my understanding that the procedure will focus on the diffused thinning in zones 1 and 2. Of course the doc will decide definitively when he sees me in person on monday morning.
  10. Thanks Bill, In my opinion (all BS aside), this forum, under your direction, has provided an unmeasurable level of support and encouragement, not only for me, but for all men who are adversely affected by male pattern baldness. Prezident
  11. Hello all, After extensive research and soul rearching, I am scheduled for HT with Dr. Ron this coming monday October 26, 2009.The Funny thing is that I am not even nervous because I know that I made the right decision for my second HT. Prezident
  12. Balboa, Please share with us any feedback you have gotten from Dr. Armani.
  13. Fingers Crossed, What side effects did you experience with propecia?
  14. Severn, Correct me if I am wrong, but it is my understanding that the 'high' majority of hair transplants that were performed in the 90s and early 2000s were FUSS procedures and not FUE. My 3500 FUE procedure performed in 2007 was ultimately a complete failure even though the transplanted hair initially grew out beautifully. The only other HT failure cases that I have come across were from patients that underwent the FUE procedure. In another post, Bill posted an article authored by Dr. Feller that is by far the most informative that I have read about the FUE procedure and the 'three forces' that a follicle must endure during the extraction process. I am lucky that I have a large donor site because my next procedure will DEFINITELY be FUSS! However, I wholeheartedly agree that the community needs some input from one of the HT Docs on this issue. Everytime I turn around I read about another HT DOC inventing a 'new' and 'innovative' FUE extraction device. Utilizing simple logic, what does that tell you about the 'true' nature of the FUE procedure. Hasson and Wong, who consistently have phenomenal results, do not even perform FUE. Go figure! Prezident
