  1. I was using topical dut 5x week for 6 months. I just felt it was not as effective as oral finasteride. I have been back on fin daily for the past 3 months.
  2. I used the Xyon topical Dut for 6 months and also thought I lost ground. I have since gone back to using Fin and Minox daily with better looking hair caliber.
  3. Based on the pictures submitted, I don't see where you even need a transplant. What am I missing here?
  4. The work looks great. I'm particularly interested in Dr. Somesh's crown work. What is your country of origin?
  5. This is some really nice work from Dr. A. Could you please provide us with an immediate post op picture to see the graft placement?
  6. To evaluate Arocha clients the clinic must provide post operative pictures.
  7. Brother you and I have been through the same hair journey. Bosley, NHI along with a scalp reduction in the 90s. I am also in my 50s and heavily considering Eugienix. I will be following your journey closely. Question - Have you ever used fibers to thicken your existing hair?
  8. ZoldikX I understand you frustration and your desire to fix your problem with surgery. However, your pattern of loss seems to be pretty advanced for your age. I also understand your hesitancy to take medication. I would advise to try topical medications first to see if you are a good responder. You can now get Dutasteride and Finasteride in topical gels. A combination of one of these DTH blockers with topical minoxidil foam might help stabilize or improve your hair's condition with a low chance of side effects. I would also seek out a dermatologist for consultation. Medication first, surgery second.
  9. 6 week update- over the past 6 weeks I have used the Melvin approach and gradually increased my weekly application of topical Dutasteride. My current hair regiment includes applying TD 4x weekly and topical Minoxidil once daily. I have also continued to take oral 1 mg Finasteride but have reduced from daily to 3x weekly. Results- I think adding DT is definitely helping the condition/ quality of my hair. My hair looks better and is easier to style. I think it's too early to say DT has grown new hair, but I have noticed that my daily hair loss is almost zero. The real benefit is reducing the Finasteride weekly dose has lessened the sides and made them very easy to tolerate.
  10. Before you choose to have surgery, please give medication a chance to improve your hair. Doing so will probably improve/ fill your crown and the quality of your existing hair. There are a lot of options. Some guys have had good results with oral minoxidil or finasteride. Some including myself have been experimenting with topical Dutasteride. After 6 months, reevaluate and then decide if you want to proceed with surgery. Dr. Arocha seems like a good doctor, but I would meet with him personally and ask to see some of his patients results that most resemble yours. Best of luck.
  11. Mat16, You're young and in good shape with a nice head of hair. Keep up your hair regimen and hold off on a HT. Go enjoy your life.
  12. What a great result. I am meeting with Dr. K in July for a consultation regarding a repair. What is your oral minoxidil regiment? i.e. dosage and frequency? Best,
  13. I have been on 1mg of finasteride for three years and have experienced low grade sides such as libido, depression, and insomnia. That is the reason I am switching to just topical Dut and Minoxidil. If this is not effective, I may try Oral Minoxidil. Thanks for the recommendation.
  14. I have looked at oral minoxidil but am trying to stop taking oral medication. I have some issues with angina and worried that oral minoxidil might contribute. Melvin, how was your experience?
  15. Hey Guys, Just wanted to join the discussion. I just started Xyon Dut this week. I will post if I notice any results or sides. I did want to add that I spoke to the prescribing dermatologist regarding topical minoxidil usage combined with Xyon. He recommended applying Minoxidil foam fist letting it dry and then adding Xyon Dut.
