Superhawk, I just had a session of about 2600 grafts with Epstein 10 days ago. The scar has already healed up quite nicely and noone has noticed it except for one area where the hair were missing a bit too much. Other than the first night where things were a bit uncomfortable and being very careful for the forst 5 days, things have been great. I started working out 7 days after my procedure (they recommend 5) and you can even swim after 10. I am in the waiting game right now but the session and the recovery for Strip was not bad at all. DaddyShaker, I would recommend FUT. I did it with Dr. Epstein and the scar is barely visible. From my research, FUE can be very very long process. Also, as other members said, I would not recommend BHT. Also, I have heard and seen some good results from Dr. Humayyun ( I think). He did it for Rana Naveed ul hasan the cricketer and u can see it on youtube so that might not be that bad of an option. I have friends who did it in Pak and told me that other than Dr. Humayyun, stay away as there are butchers all over. Good luck dude!

Hi, I just had about 2620 grafts done last week at his clinic. I did consider 3 more surgeons (True, Bernstein and Feller). Dr. Feller was solidly booked otherwise I would have seriously considered him as well. Bernstein was a bit standoffish and much more pricey. Whiel I dont mind the price for such an investment but I truly believed that all of these Drs could deliver equally. Dr. Epstein is very proessional and personable and he explained it to me very nicely. My fiance and other family members have seen the work and they say it looks very nice. The original procedure was for 2200 but he did say that it could change on the day of the procedure. He mentioned more grafts and I agreed and he did 200 for free without me asking. So far it looks good and the hair have not fallen off even though they say they should in the first week most of the time. I am in the waiting game as I will know for a fact in 2-3 months and i guess fully in 9 months. I understand the anxiety you are going through as I went through the same. End of the day, if you feel you have done your research and narrowed it down to some good ones, I would say go with the one you feel comfortable with. I had the same dilemma and in the end went with Dr. Epstein. I felt very justified during the procedure and the after care BUT again I have nothing solid yet to show you. By early october it would be a month and a half and you can ping me then and I will be more than glad to tell you more details. Hope it helps!

I will be choosing one of the three surgeons: Dr. True, Dr. Bernstein or Dr. Epstein. I will have to travel to Miami for Dr. Epstein as he is in NYC only 3 times a month. Again, I wont mind the travel as long as the results are good. Someone did get in touch with me from his office and Dr. Epstein reviewed my photos and gave me recommendations. The others I will see them on Monday. Anyone who has loss in the crown area and has done work with any of the three surgeons - I request your honest feedback. I greatly appreciate your feedback. Well I would give rogaine another shot if I do go thru HT. Frankly, I just gave up on it. The only good news I think is that I have faced baldness in the same area for the past 8 years and it has been very slow.

Regarding propecia, yes it were the side effects. Heck no procedure or result is worth taking suc a side effect I would try to locate spex and contact him.

Thanks for the prompt reply. My hair loss os from middle of the top towards the crown. I am 34 and had consultations with Bosley and MHR but have stayed away from them ever since given the reviews. I do not respond well to Propecia or Rogaine and am using the Laser comb. Mohsin

Hello Everyone, Thank you for all those who take the time to answer out inquiries. I am interested in about 1200-1400 grafts and will be travelling to NYC from Boston given the reviews I have read. I am considering Drs. Jeff Epstein, Allan Feller ot Dr. Bernstein. My questions are 1) Which one is preferred? Dr. Bernstein seems to be a bit more expensive (8400 compared to 7050 for Dr. feller). Cost is not an issue but if all three are equal then might save some $ 2) Should I go for FUT or FUE? I still cant tell which one is better. 3) Would I need to be on propecia given the experiences out there. Thanks in advance Mohsin
