  1. I have fine straight hair with low hair/graft ration which is making it difficult to achieve adequate density. But hopefully my recent session will be satisfactory after it has grown in and matured
  2. @Rahal Hair Transplant @Melvin- Admin @A_4_Archan thanks, I will bring these concerns to the surgeon in my next consultation.
  3. I have just had my third FUT focusing on the frontal third. This time it was roughly around 1700g, bringing the total to 5600g for all surgeries. My doctor suggested performing an FUE on the midscalp and the anterior part of the crown, just two weeks after the previous surgery. Is this safe, or would it be more prudent to wait?
  4. I had my HT 2 month and 19 days ago, and being in winter I didn't bother with bringing a hat for a long walk around the city as I didn't expect a cloudless sky. The temperature was 17 C, UV index 2-3 and there was no sunburn symptoms of any sort. Added to that I'm of an olive complextion so I never got burned even in the summer. So is there a risk for the survival of the grafts or am I in the clear?
  5. Thanks, for the reassuring response. And true that one can easily lose composure and start panicking early on the process even though I have been through it before.
  6. I started washing the scabs at the end of the 7th day after surgery. After soaking my head with shampoo for a couple of minutes I massageed the scabs with my fingertips in a circular motion with mild to moderate intensity, nothing vigorous or forciful. There was no bleeding, as in trickling or running blood or anything. Just these little dots of blood around the grafts which are thankfully still in place. Also I was taking ibuprofen for couple of days prior, can its anti-platelet properties be the cause? And Should I be concerned about the survivability of the grafts?
  7. 2 years on medication and I can say, cautionaly and reluctantly, my hair loss is stable-ish. I went for FUT for the fear of the dreaded NW7 scenario. As you can see the hairline isn't inappropriately low but I regard it too low for my level of hair loss or maybe I'm being obsessive
  8. But the question can be: Is it egregious enough and low enough to warrant the hassle of removing the grafts with the possible scarring resulting from it?
  9. So I'm 24, NW4-5, on Dut and Minoxidil. 6 months ago I had an FUT which was 2200FU that was supposed to follow my natural hairline up until the midscalp. For some reason the right side has been dropped with the angle closed which I fear, long term speaking, won't be a good thing given being in early twenties with the possibility of the norwood reaper being on the prowl and even with medications, you just can't be so sure. What should be my plan for the 2nd hair transplant, just pack in more grafts or remove the grafts implanted below my natural native hairs?
  10. Thanks for the input. But wouldn't all the grafts have sprouted and by the 9 months mark the growth left will be maturation and thickening of hair caliber?
  11. Exactly, ear to ear. It's just easier to show the scar over the parietal area compared to the occipital which can be easily missed
  12. His name is Dr. Ahmed Nour-Eldin. And for being nationally renowned and board certified I made the choice to have it locally instead of abroad. One thing you will find difficult when choosing a surgeon in Egypt is the meager and utterly lacking display of before and after photos. Which I get it, it's still a taboo here, but it makes navigating the thicket of good and bad surgeons extremely difficult. My scar is healing nicely for being 6 months only. Hope with time it will contract more. I have no photos for a fair comparison between pre/postop. So you have to take my word for it— ok-ish, mostly single, good angles and direction. Just the density is not there and I honestly don't get his thought process to cover front to midscalp with such a miniscule number of grafts. But maybe he was testing ground or settling base or something
  13. that seems reasonable but cant scalp exercises help to mitigate the laxity problem?
  14. Actually I went to one of the very few, single digit old guards still doing FUT in Egypt. I had a consultation and he opined that FUT is most suitable for me, for being a 24 with such aggressive pattern and deemed FUE just too risky even with preventive treatment. which I think is the right choice even having to trade it off with a liner scar
  15. Yes, currently on daily .5m duta and minoxidil. and as much as I would love to stay my hair loss is stabilized, you just cant be so sure when it comes to progressive conditions such as AGA. but it is halted for the meantime at least.
  16. So I was NW4-5 before I underwent 2200 grafts FUT surgery that was sprinkled and dusted all over the frontal and mid scalp. My verdict? not impressed but I understand that you can get so mush with such a small number. And honestly a second round just seems inevitable to me for adding density in the frontal third and refining the hairline design. So am I risking the grafts in any way by having a 2nd transplant only after 9 months, and what drawbacks that can happen if I went along?
