  1. I have updated my blog. I took the new photos with a crappy cell phone camera. Sorry, it's all I have at the moment. I get better pics posted asap. I love the results, and I'm only at 4 months. Truly amazing as far as I am concerned.

  3. Balboa, This is the same question I had before I had my HT. After much research on this site and elsewhere, I went with Dr. Keene. As I am about 2.5 months out, I have learned on this site that I have no standing yet to talk about results. But what I can say without reservation is that my experience with Dr. Keene thus far -- pre-op, op, post-op, follow up etc. -- has been wonderful. And if my results are half as good as the folks she has worked on, I will be happy. What can I say. I am a big fan.
  4. Thanks much GQ. I am planning on taking the fin forever, so ok there. But your comment on the minox startled me a bit. Dr. Keene's office says that minox might help my grafts grow more quickly if used for 3 months post op and that I can then ween myself off (the implication being without any bad effects of doing so). Do you have a different point of view or understanding? Thanks.
  5. This is an absolute outrage. The thought of some poor trusting soul getting taken in by these people truly makes me angry -- and sad. I really hate when people prey upon the vulnerable, whether it be children, the elderly, or men seeking to improve their appearance through an HT.
  6. I would love to hear any thoughts that the vets on this site have -- good, bad, ugly or indifferent. Candor appreciated.

  8. Test to see if my signature is working.
  9. Great post, Toad. I really enjoyed reading it. I just had my first HT a few days ago with Dr. Keene in Arizona. Much of what you said resonated with me, right down to specific anxiety about the donor strip part of the procedure. You are right, the post-op pic looks great and "clean" as you say. And one more thing that I will probably say over and over again on this forum. God bless Pat and Bill for providing this INVALUABLE tool. Had it not been for there work, I can almost guarantee I would have gone to a doctor who would have screwed me up. I feel so bad for folks that don't discovery this website and then get surgery from somebody who might do good advertising, but terrible HTs. I seriously owe you guys.
  10. The practitioners that do this to people should be drawn and quartered.
  11. By the way, thanks for the kind words Thanatopsis. I have seen a number of your posts during the course of my research, and I have found them to be quite supportive and informative. On that same note, I find this whole forum to be extremely supportive, which is great.
  12. Bill, I cannot tell you how valuable this forum was to me in my research. Thanks for everything you do, and thanks for your comments. I am going to start a weblog now and start posting pics.
  13. Pmill, have a glass of wine and relax. I guess you have a point that one cannot conclude a surgeon is the best until the results are in. In fact, I had the same thought when I read other "premature" posts. However, I was simply trying to convey that my experience with her office thus far has been incredible.
  14. Sharptooth. Likewise. Was nice chatting with you. I wish you the best as well.
