  1. A bit delayed but here are my 12 Month photo updates. So incredibly happy with the results. The best compliment is hearing how if I had not shared I had a hair transplant, they would have never known.
  2. As a former patient, 8.5 months post transplant, I can without a doubt vouch for the terrific work of Dr. Camacho. In awe every time I look in the mirror. He perfectly executed the natural look I was going for.
  3. 7.5 Month Update. Mind blown with how it consistently gets more full over time. So excited for my results.
  4. 4.5 Month Update! Finally back to my original styling, with no more comb over
  5. @Melvin- Moderator had to look him up but after doing so, I totally approve haha.
  6. Hi Everyone! I'm so excited to share with all of you my recent experience with Bogota Hairlines. For some context, I'm a 34 year old male from New York, currently residing in New Jersey. I began to see recessions in my hairline around 25 and since then I'd been contemplating a hair transplant but was afraid to pull the trigger. As I got older and my hairline fell further back, it was important for me to take this step when it wouldn’t appear to be too dramatic of a change. So in November 2021 I finally decided to take the leap but that wasn’t until after a few years of research into different procedures and finding a cost effective place to do it. I ultimately decided to go with Bogota Hairlines because what was most important to me was a natural hairline that didn’t look "pluggy". Every patient success story that I saw looked so natural and with very little (if any) noticeability to the donor area. So off I went to Bogota, Colombia :) My Overall Experience I felt comfortable from Day 1, when communication kicked off via Instagram. Communication was clear and consistent and continues to be 1.5 months post procedure. Every detail is taken care of, from the minute you are greeted by the nicest guides (Abraham & Johnny) at the airport, to hotel, car service and even lunch. I'm a natural planner and the fact that I didn’t have to worry about the details, took away a lot of my typical stress/anxiety when traveling, especially when undergoing a procedure. The Procedure Looking back now, I'm shocked at how I experienced no pain throughout or after the procedure. The most pain was when the anesthetic was being applied at the very beginning. The team consistently checked-in on me to make sure I was feeling okay. In the end, a total of 2138 grafts were removed from the donor area (1 Hair, 400; 2 Hairs, 1638; 3 Hairs 100). I went in expecting more but Dr. Camacho re-assured me that I didn’t need more to achieve the natural looking hairline I was after. He even talked me off the ledge of bringing my hairline lower, reminding me that as I get older I'd want my hairline to age with me. So glad I listened! What was also reassuring was the importance they put around preserving the donor area should I choose to do additional procedures in the future. After the procedure I was given precise care instruction that were easy to follow. The Team The team operates like a well-oiled machine. I was the only procedure of the day and at any given moment there were 4-6 folks in the room. The extraction procedure began with Dr. Paola and two assistants extracting and sorting the grafts. Me being naturally curious, they walked me throughout the whole process. Dr. Camacho then came in and began making pre-incisions for where the grafts would be placed, following the design we worked on together. Dr. Camacho and Dr. Paola then placed the grafts, while the assistants worked their magic placing grafts into pens for the Doctors. It was the most consistent, easy going and smooth procedure with an excellent team at the helm. Recovery This was the part I was dreading but surprisingly went smoother than I had expected. After two days I removed the saran wrap/bandages and finally got to wash my hair. Instructions were clear and even came with video tutorials, which were helpful. After about 6 days the scabs had begun to fall off and after 9 days were completely off. My donor area was completely healed and almost unnoticeable after 9 days. I did experience some ingrown hairs in the donor area but those went away over the course of two weeks. For about a month you can feel very light pressure when touching the newly grafted area but that weaned off little by little every day. Final Thoughts I still ask myself, why I didn’t do this sooner. I'm so confident in my decision to do this but even more so with who I chose to do it with. I could not be more grateful to Dr. Camacho, Dr. Paola and the entire Bogota Hairlines team for taking such great care of me. This is just the beginning and I recently started Finasteride (1.25mg/day), which I know will help retain my future hairline for years to come. Here are some photos pre, post and 1.5 months post opp. Can't wait to see some growth in the next couple of months. Will share updates as I progress!
