  1. To me it seems like the vast majority of the reviews are positive, but the few negative ones are concerning (re: the surgery not working), but I feel like you will get a few bad reviews like that at every clinic.
  2. Hello! I was wondering if anyone has information (reviews, photos, etc...) on Dr Alba Reyes? She is a member of the IAHRS and ABHRS and is recommended by Spex, but her website seems to be dated with old photos and information. I've read a handful of mixed reviews on realself, but it's not really enough to get any sort of actual picture. ABHRS: https://abhrs.org/directory/listing/alba-v-reyes-sagiv-md I know she is a very popular doctor among Spanish speakers and read somewhere else on the forum that there is more information on her on Spanish websites, but I only speak English. I was hoping someone could help me I reached out to her, and her office was very responsive, so I might do a free phone consultation. But I'd prefer to see more patient reviews.
  3. That would be very helpful @Doron Harati I was also wondering how many grafts were transplanted during this botched procedure and if you have his old before photos?
  4. I have read on this forum that poor graft placement can be one of the reasons a hair transplant looks not as dense. However, I have never seen what this looks like. Does anyone have an example of a surgery that turned out with poor density due to bad artistry in terms of graft placement. Or maybe, two similar hair transplant candidates, but one had a better, more full result due to smarter graft placement.
  5. I agree with a lot of what you said, but I think there is a graft survival due to blood flow issue when you go too high above 3000. I'm just trying to get confirmation on this or a source? As an example, someone who gets 5000 grafts moved in one session might have 1500 of those die but still be satisfied because they still had 3500 moved even though they destroyed a lot of their donor hairs. But if that same procedure was done in 2 sessions of 2500, maybe all would survive.
  6. Hello! I have a question for Dr Wesley, and I think everyone can benefit from the answer, I highly respect Dr Wesley but have noticed that he does not seem to do sessions above where more than 3000 grafts are moved. I also saw that he wrote on another forum post here that "sessions continue to grow (for better or for worse)." Is this due to blood supply and graft survival rate? I am just trying to understand what the safe upper limit of grafts should be per session is in his opinion and why he does not tend to go too high with graft count. @Office of Dr. Wesley @Dr. Carlos Wesley
  7. This thread is completely crazy. Dr Unger is one of the best in the world hands down.
  8. Hi everyone, I am looking for a clinic abroad (hopefully to save money -- I'd like to keep it under/around $10K) that meets a few parameters and was hoping someone could help me: 1) I want them to do FUT and FUE. I think that certain people are better candidates for each, and I would like a doctor who offers both. For example, I don't want the doctor to recommend FUE because that is all they do, when I am a better candidate for FUT. 2) I want the doctor not to do Megasessions. I don't want a doctor who does Megasessions (over 3000 grafts) because I think they lead to lower survival rates much of the time and depletes the donor area. I have also seen a lot of FUE Megasessions from clinics that clearly harvest from outside the safe donor area. I'm sure this will look good in the short term, but in the long term, many of their transplanted hairs will fall out. 3) I want a doctor who is a member of the ABHRS and ISHRS. This one is less important to me, results are more important, but it is something I would want. The closest doctor I have found to someone I am looking for is Dr Bisanga. But, to me, it looks like he harvests outside of the safe donor area sometimes with his FUE procedures (going up too high -- photo included here that I found on the forum) and does Megasessions. However, he does FUT/FUE and, even though he isn't an ABHRS member, is an ISHRS member. As you can tell, I am conservative in my approach/goals. Please let me know if you can help me.
  9. Thank you for the recommendations. I see some are IHRSH members, but do you know anyone who is also an ABHRS member too?
  10. Hi everyone, I think I am a better candidate for an FUT transplant, and I wanted to know if there was any doctor in Turkey that does both FUT and FUE? I know a lot of people think FUE is better, but I want a doctor who can do both. I don't want/need a Megasession or anything either (and tbh I'm nervous about doctors who do Megasessions). I would also be open to traveling somewhere other than Turkey, I just want to know of somewhere on the less expensive side (less than the USA at least) that does FUT also and preferably a member of ABHRS and IHRSH.
