  1. Best of luck. On the day i done it i applied minoxidil about 1-2 hrs prior to microneedling. I was told if applying after you can absorb to much minoxidil and side effects can be higher not sure how accurate this is .
  2. Hi mate i used a generic pen i found on amazon . I used 1.5mm once a week and found it quite helpful i noticed some regrowth as i had started to level out on my gains from medical treatments. Nothing spectacular but i found it helped. My scalp health in general seemed to improve when doing it also .
  3. Yeah i will be staying clear of fin for that period of time. I have microneedled in the past so will add that back in. I also use topical min in the evening and oral in the morning. Thanks for the response
  4. Hi , myself and my partner are going to be trying for a kid in the near future and was wondering if anyone has an alternative to fin ? I have been told safest to stop 3 months prior to trying but would like to try and maintain my hair during this time. I take oral minoxidil so anything i can add whilst off the fin would be great thanks
  5. Thanks mate your story on here helped me to finally book and go through with it.
  6. We have agreed to implant the beard grafts amongst my existing crown hair and to do some test grafts from scalp area to see how they heal. All going well i will return next year to add the scalp grafts .
  7. I do he has been very helpful i am just a worrier .he has reassured me many times that my donor will look great . I just get a bit of doubt every now and then after seeing some pictures of other people results from other clinics online were they can be seen . Hopefully i have minimal to no detectable scarring
  8. I was hoping with the spread over entire donor region that they would not be seen as they would not join up and create a large white empty area. I am in a tricky situation as i really enjoy having short hair but need a bit more hair at the crown . As soon as my donor hair grows beyond a 0 grade clipper it looks messy due to my hair texture. Would it be possible to solely use beard hair? My surgeon seems to think the 500 grafts will not be detectable am i just over worrying?thanks

  10. Hi guys booked in for my fue procedure in april to add some density to crown area. I have a skin fade back and sides and keep hair around 1/2 guard on top. plan is to use 1000grafts (500 from beard to add density to crown and 500 from scalp )to help blend in the beard hairs. Will the 500 fue from scalp be visible when shaved down? Surgeon has said the will be equally spread over entire donor region. thanks
  11. Yes mate . Im just no sure if the would solely use beard if they would be happy to do that.
  12. I have previously spoke with them and they suggested 50/50 head and beard. i am worried that scarring wouldnt allow me to shave the sides and have never really suited any other style.
  13. Hi mate . How is your scarring? I wonder if any clinic would use solely beard and body grafts for me. @Melvin- Moderator could you recommend any docs/clinics who may try this ?
  14. Hi in scotland and requested them at GP the queried 1 or 2 but happily done them and printed the results for me no charge
  15. Hi guys, contemplating getting my hair done had previously booked then covid meant i couldn't travel. So have been researching lots . I am a white male 29. On finasteride and minoxidil. Have maintained on my current regime. I have a high skin fade into a grade 1.5 on top i have crown loss/thinning. As i keep my donor hair area very short/shaved i was wondering about scarring and possibility of using beard/ body hair only in a transplant. I get my haircut every 3/4 days currently and would maintain this going forward. I have attached photos below showing my loss and haircut straight after a trim. My hair is naturally wirey/curly. When long is hard to style. main question is will scarring be noticeable if scalp hair is used? is using beard and body hair only an option?
