  1. Thank you for your feedback! I think I'm going to stay on finasteride for a bit and see how the results are. My biggest concern isn't actually my crown, but rather my big ass forehead and the receding hair line doesn't help. Originally I was thinking of doing a HT just for the front, but I feel like that would complicate things when I eventually start balding in my crown area more
  2. Fair enough and this platform has given me so much insight on that. Previously I was only able to rely on youtube videos and reddit(lol) to hear about people's experience with HT. Would it be a bad idea to get do something about my hairline however?
  3. Thank you for your feedback! On a side note I just wanted to let you know that finding this forum has been a blessing. Seeing so many sucess stories has given me confidence in this fight again my hair loss!
  4. To address the last point, honestly before I did my research I thought Turkey had the best clinics as from what little I knew I heard everyone going to Turkey for HT. Digging more deep, I understand now that there are just as good if not better clinics in other parts of the world. Thank you for your feedback! My main concern is actually my receding hair line so I had a second thought. I was considering going in just to get my hairline fixed(and side temples) because I seen other members get this done without having to save their head either.
  5. Thank you for your feedback! I think I'm going to go give finasteride some time to see what growth I get. Does finasteride help with rebuilding receding hairline? Because that's actually my main concern, not necessarily the crown area.
  6. Great point regarding finasteride! HLC actually got in touch with me earlier today regarding a consultation. I let them know I just started using finasteride and they recommend at least waiting 6 months or so as the my donor area will thicken more. It's a tough spot because ideally I would like to get a HT now as I'm currently work from home and not many people would see me through the month 1-6 process. Overall, I do intend on continuing with Finasteride. I started with 1.25mg daily from the beginning and no side effects so I'm not discouraged or plan on stopping. My only thing is I wish I started with Minoxidil foam solution instead of the liquid earlier. It's so much better for me. Thank you for the suggestions! HLC is one I'm definitely considering. I've requested a consultation with Dr Pekiner, Dr Kesser, Dr Bicer and Dr Demisroy so just currently waiting on that. What are your thoughts on what one of the clinics said in the opening post? Thank you for your help agian btw
  7. Sorry I wanted to add that I use to style my hair up years ago but the 2 reasons stated above is why I had to change it
  8. Thank you for your reply! Yes, I do style my hair down as shown in the pictures, but I also started doing this for two reasons. First, I noticed my hairline started receding couple years ago. I always had a large forehead(you can probably tell by the pictures lol), but with my receding hairline it made it worse. Second my hair is extremely weak, even if I use some sort of hair product. When it's just a little windy, my hair goes flying and it's extremely embarrassing when I'm with people as it exposes my forehead.
  9. I just mention I did get a fade about 2 weeks ago and usually my donor area gets a lot more thick. I'll update a new picture in a couple weeks. Thank you!
  10. Hello everyone, I'm 27 year old from Toronto Canada. I'm currently in the process of hair loss and as you can imagine it's destroying my confidence. My saving grace is that people don't notice it until I mention it to them, but eventually down the road I know it's going to be quite noticeable. My father and my old brother are bald so I'm sure it's just genetic. My brother had the "shave it off bro" approach which some people recommend, but when I spoke to him he wishes he could have hair instead. I'm not ready the bald nor do I want to be bald(nothing wrong with that, it's just not something I want :(). I was using Minoxidil liquid solution for about a year now, but it caused my scalp to become slightly red and itchy, but I heard that was normal. About 2 weeks ago I switched to the foam solution and I don't have these symptoms anymore. I also started finasteride 3 weeks ago. I currently do 1.25mg daily. I cut 5mg into quarters. No side effects. Planning to stay on this for however long(forever?). I have started doing some research and thank the heavens I came across this forum. I wish I had known about this forum a month ago when I started my research. There are a few clinics I was considering, but looking at some of the posts of people who came went to these clinics and being disappointed may have saved me. The reason I'm making this thread is I'm extremely confused on what to do right now. I've contacted a clinic this is what they had to say about a potential hair transplant for me. "Having reviewed your pictures sent us, we do not feel that having a transplant procedure is a suitable option at this stage for you... It appears you are in stages of hair loss and it is too early for you to consider having a hair transplant procedure a solution. You have too many pre-existing hairs over your scalp. Placing hair in the areas that are still largely populated by your native pre-existing hairs could interfere with the growth of the pre-existing hairs and cause it to shed as a result. This is also known as shock loss and this is exactly what we are trying to avoid doing at this point. You would continue losing your native pre-existing hair behind newly placed grafts and would end up with an odd pattern of loss over the frontal hairline. We recommend you to not to rush into a hair transplant procedure, not to spend your money, time, health etc, and save it to have a hair transplant procedure in the the correct time when your scalp is more visible. Because there is no real treatment without side effects except hair transplantation. " I'm honestly happy that they were honest, but I was hoping it's something I could do before my hair loss becomes worse. I've attached some pictures I took in good lighting(I think it was good lol) and was wondering if I could get your thoughts on what I should do. I'm also looking to see if I could get some recommendations for clinics I could visit. I was hoping it's something I could do in the next 2-3 months as well. Another clinic I contacted that's greatly reviewed was HLC who are booked 3 months, but they said they can add me to the waiting list which is great. I was hoping to go somewhere in Turkey since they seem to be the most budget friendly with great results. I know in Canada we have H&W and Dr Rahul, but they seem extremely expensive for me right. Here are some information about me Location: Toronto Canada Age: 27 Budget: Up to €6500 Any help would greatly appreciated! Thank you!
