  1. Hey guys, Just wanted to share these videos I came across on youtube sharing results with the clinic I was going with initially. Not bad results I think although I don't like much the hairline shape. EDIT (Missed the videos lol) 6 months: 12 months:
  2. Hey Guys, Quick update on my situation. I'm in contact with doctor Bruno Ferreira's team. The process is ongoing but I still don't have an estimated date for surgery. Hopefully next year. Fingers crossed. In the mean time, I have been micro needling (0,5 mm needles) once a week in the area with no hair. Minoxidil 2 times per week in the surrounding area. I didn't see results so far. I think my hairline is getting slightly worse since I post here. What do you think? Is it a good time to jump on finasteride? Do I need to get it prescribed by a dermatologist? I'm from Portugal. Best
  3. Thanks again for all your responses, all of them were super useful to make a much better decision. I'm thinking in the next steps and I'm feeling the temptation to jump immediatily on finasteride. Is there any irreversal side effects of taking it? If I get side effects and stop it everythig goes back to normal? Where can I buy it?
  4. As expected, I got a call from them today. The guy who called me was the clinic director I think (I can't remember the name, it was in the morning and I was on my way to work) and he wasn't very insistent, but he wanted to know why I canceled the transplant. I told him that I wasn't sure about having surgery by a nurse and worse, by a nurse who has not yet proven results. He replied that his team is the most experienced in Portugal and that they have had excellent results. He also told me that the nurses who would transplant my hair would be the team that was responsible for Raul Meireles' transplant. I said that I would still prefer to be submitted to surgery by a doctor with proven evidence and gave him as an example Bruno Ferreira and Bruno Pinto, referring to them as being the best in Europe in the area of hair transplantation. His reaction was to laugh about being the best in Europe and he compared himself with them in some way but I replied that for me it was worth zero as he wouldn't be the one to give me the transplant. Finally I also told him that I wanted to give Finasteride a chance and he said that the effectiveness is 20 to 30% and has side effects such as loss of libido, erection and sperm quality. The conversation ended here because I was in a hurry. I told him I would get in touch tomorrow if I had anything else to add. The man was never arrogant and was available to clarify doubts. Do you think I should try to clarify my doubts and try to understand the feasibility of a transplant in this clinic?
  5. Hey guys, Just want to tell you that I canceled the hair transplant. Thank you very much for your help. The next steps will be doing more research on the HT topic and after that, I will probably give a try to finestaride before jumping into an HT. PS: Thank you very much @Portugal25 for speaking with me over phone and share with me your valuable knowledge.
  6. I'll ask for more time to think about the hair transplant, that's the least I can do. I definitely need to do more research on this topic and not blindly trust my friend. What kind of questions I can ask tomorrow to guarantue they are good for a transplant? Regarding technologies, tools, etc. Btw, they are asking for 3000€ for 1500-2000 grafts.
  7. So, I've been talking with my friend that is a nurse there and she is being telling me the doctors give the anhestesia and monitors the patients, health checks, etc. The extraction and insertion is done by nurses. I have found this video on youtube and the results seems acceptable to me I've to confesss, after talk with my friend that is a nurse there I'm 50/50. She told me that Insparya team has a lot of experience in the field and when it comes to hair transplants, having experience is key rather than either being a doctor or a nurse doing the grafts insertions. Also, can I see results from the portuguese doctors that you guys recommended me? Bruno Ferreira and Bruno Pinto please. Thank you for your time again
  8. I will cancel tomorrow first thing as I did an emotional decision and I want to be more rational. I appreciate your help!
  9. It's definitily hair mill territory @JDEE0. But they are showing good resutls. I know at least 3 guys that are quite happy with the results. And my case seems to be an easy fix, right? They are the old Saúde Viável which has been here for a long time now... Tbh that wasn't a concern for me. Should I be more concerned about it?
  10. How can I cancel 5 days from the cirurgy? I want to give a try Min/Fin before. Btw, I don't know if this makes sense but I booked because my hair was shedding a lot. And I got overwhelmed and just went for it. I started taking multivimans and the shedding stopped. Dows this even makes sense? Hair seems to be stronger now too
  11. Sorry guys, I just saw your replies now. Somehow the clinic convinced me to do this (tried to cancel 2 times). And I myself convinced me too. My main justification to do this is, I've been thinking of doing an HT for the past 4 years and the hair line seems to be quite stable, so why not? On the other hand, my self-esteem has been on the top, I don't really feel bad about my image. I feel that I can live well with my image right now. But the hair transplant would take off the burden of carefully style my hair every time I go out. Really hard decision
  12. Hi everyone, I'm going to have an HT in 5 days in Portugal done by Insparya (by Cristiano Ronaldo) and I was quoted with 1500-2000 grafts. I wanted to ask you what are you opinions on the hair line I should ask for. The clinic will decide this on the day of cirucy as I had all consults online. I like the yellow line but I'm afraid that it won't look good when I'm like 50. The red line is a more conservative approach to just improve by a little my hairline. PS: I didn't take any meds before. My hairline has looked like this for the past 8 years at least and I think meds wont make the hair grow in that areas. What do you think? Best, Luis
  13. Hi everybody, I booked an hair transplant for October but a lot of uncertainty has come up because I don't actually feel that bad with my hair to do it. Money is not a problem so I thought I could make my self look better but now I'm afraid of the sorrounding hair falls due to the transplant. What do you think? I tried fin and minoxidil but just for a month or two. I feel that I can wait 1 or 2 years more to stable my hair loss. I'm 29
