  1. Dr.Lindsey I was just wondering what your views are on the information leaflet that comes with avodart.Basically i`ve been taking proscar for a little over 9 years and thought maybe it might be losing it`s effect now so decided to try avodart.I`ve just received a 3 month proscrption but after reading the leaflet i`m kind of put off and scared to take it.In part of the leaflet it says to use a condom during intercourse if you think your partner might be pregnant so not to expose her to your semen. My problem is that my wife and i arn`t trying for a baby at the moment but we are also not using protection so what if she became pregnant whilst i`m on avodart?is there a chance it could harm the baby? in another part of the leaflet it also mentions that it could reduce your fertility but how long will this last if you stopped taking it? You mention that you prescribe avodart so i was just wondering if you`ve ever come across any of these problems or you know of any patients that have gone on to have healthy kids.
  2. I think it looks weird and false on the hairline but may work well in hiding your liner scar after a transplant.
  3. I had two procedures done at DHI in London and neither worked, don`t waste your money like i did.
  4. sorry bash,i should of made it a bit more clear in my last post yes i take 5mg proscar split into four
  5. sunny I had shockloss to my scar area as well It did grow back and i can still feel stubble growing in the scar area even now at 7 months
  6. If say for instance we do see some change in the photos that were going to see over the next few months would anyone consider cutting down on taking propecia? At the moment i`m taking 1.25 of finasteride every day and have done for the last 10 years and to be honest i hate it. Yes its early days regarding PRP but wouldn`t it be great if we could cut down and take fin say every other day along with a few jabs every 6 to 8 months. I know there has been a few post saying PRP should be added as well as propecia but even if we could just cut down on the drug would be a real benefit to me Like i said i know at this stage its to early to tell but thats just my thoughts
  7. John To be honest with you its hard to say when i first noticed any growth, the transplant i had were placed in amongst other hairs but i would imagine it was about month 5,i say month 5 because thats when i first noticed i wasn`t using as much concealer (toppik) Please grow please is right you may experience a delay due to scaring from your last procedure but 3 months is still only the beginning
  8. wow!!! the scar looks amazing why would you be concerned about that?
  9. Bill, i understand what your saying mate and i`m fully aware that nobody knows if PRP will help or not and i`d probably bet my mortgage that it wont, we can all live in hope and hopefully over the next 6 months Dr Feller will be able to provide photos either good or bad.
  10. I hear you mate,i had two failed procedures here in the UK before i went to Dr Feller,i`m now 7 months post opp and everythings coming along fine.
  11. Cheers spex I just wanted to know that there is hope for us in the UK. Have you any idea where in the UK,is it your neck of the woods?
  12. I read in Dr Fellers other post on PRP and he did say it will be available in the UK but he hasn`t said with who or where? I also read in that post that PRP is only as good as the doc performing it so thats brings me on to my next question, who`s performing it? Will farjo`s or anyone else be looking into this?
  13. You wont see any kind of results in 3 months, its early days mate. If you cant get hold of the doc then drop spex a email or phone him with your concerns.
  14. If PRP turns out to be a good weapon in fighting hair loss or helping to maintain the hair that we have then will any of the coalition doctors in Europe or the UK be looking to offer this? seems a shame if Dr Feller is the only doc to offer this.
  15. Dr Feller when will this be available in the UK also could PRP have any positive affect on graying hair?
  16. Thanks for all your help guys,i do appreciate it. I think i`ve made a decision to try and wait a bit longer to really see how this transplant turns out.I am happy with the work Dr Feller has done for me so far and i probably will return to him in the future. i guess im still in the early stage at the moment but this waiting game is so hard. spex,im sorry for bugging the hell out of you mate,i promise i`ll leave you alone now lol
  17. Forget price forget travel forget FUE who would you choose for hairline work by strip? im looking at around 1500 grafts to the temples HASSON&WONG DR.FELLER SOMEONE ELSE?

  19. Thanks irish but to be honest its not really made much of a cosmetic difference at all.sure the transplanted hairs are growing and my hair has thickened but im pretty much where i was before i had the transplant the only difference now is i dont need to use as much toppik as before.the photos are with no concealers and no styling products,if i use styling products and spike my hair then thats where the problem is,all i see when i look in the mirror is receding uneven wonky temples.
  20. you have a shar-pei? then you will know what i mean when i mention the word slobber lol. thanks for the info mate,i have sent you an email.
  21. Hi and thanks for your input so far and of course you are right that i should wait a while but its just so damn hard waiting and i know that i will be happy with the growth in a years time but then im thinking that i will never be happy with my hairline untill i do something about it and i have to go through it all over again to get some sort of hairline in a years time. maybe im jumping a head of myself but my life just feels on hold. interesting what you say about waiting for the scar to heal but how will i know when that is,its still slightly red but i have no pain what so ever,my procedure was quite a small one of only about 1700 grafts i think and like i said im really happy with the scar, its hardly noticable but then i think if i have another strip procedure the next scar may stretch due to elasticity? i think i would profer strip for financial reasons but not if my scar will get wider if that makes sense. spex,i will email you a few questions tomorrow mate when i have more time. Bill, great job your doing on this forum mate oh and your hair looks amazing for the amount of loss you had. thanks again
  22. im 100% happy with mine, had my hair buzzed to a grade 4 by my hairdresser and i was sat in the chair dreading him mentioning or asking what the scar was but he said nothing and didn`t even notice it. its really not an issue for me.
  23. First time post but i`ve been around for a few years and thought its about time i joined so hello all. Had my procedure done with Dr Feller on the 10th of november 2008,im seeing a lot of growth and everything seems to be going well however for me to be 100% happy i need to address my receding hairline and close off my temples. This is were i would like some advice, having had a strip procedure and i must say im over the moon with the liner scar im now wondering if i should go for another strip or go for FUE,i think i would only need about 800 to 1000 grafts and im not sure if going for strip would be worth it,what do you think?. I know your all going to say i need to wait for this procedure to take shape but hair loss has taken hold of my life up untill now and i just want to sort it and forget it for a few years any advice would be very much appeciated thanks
