  1. Missing too much info. While 10k is not alot in the US, it could be doable depending on the details. If you are doing FUT with 2500 grafts or less you could do it. FUE would be a low amount of grafts for that. There are certainly still good places internationally, since you were already going to Turkey. Glad you canceled on a bad one.
  2. Personally I would say adding any type of hormones to a post surgery situation is a bad idea. Adding too many variables to the situation. Especially if you are already somewhat young, you probably have plenty of HGH as is. I know it is tempting to throw in the kitchen sink at something. At most, have a doctor do some blood tests to check for any vitamin or hormone deficiencies that might slow healing. I think you would be better off just adding the standard hair vitamins and eating a good diet with protein.
  3. Too many variables. Everyone has different hair density, different levels of "safe zones" and age plays a big factor. BeHappy nails it. Which is why so many (good) doctors will steer you to going conservative as much as possible. More so the younger you are. Very generally... if your donor looks good 6-7K I think tends to be the safer average to plan on, everything else after that is gravy if your own personal situation can handle it. Body hair/beard hair could add to it, but certainly more expensive.
  4. While that could be the case, it is more likely that it will increase testosterone (plenty of papers out there). More testosterone would likely mean more DHT. If this FUE was for androgenic alopecia more DHT would be be bad in long term.
  5. Sorry but 4 months is not nearly enough time to see results. You should absolutely wait. Hell at 4 months your probably still healing. Should wait atleast a year. If you are that self-conscious right now I would just look into getting some good hair fibers to cover. They can go a long way.
  6. Follow what you doctor said, but yes you should continue to sleep upright for several days. Generally would say at least 1-6. For two reasons. 1. Swelling usually shows up around day 2-3. Worst day could likely be 4 and then subsiding day 5-6. Personally I was lucky and had almost no swelling. I did drink a ton of water, iced my brows several times a day (not too close to to recipient) and facial massages. 2. An upright position helps you from turning so that you aren't rubbing recipient on your pillow and risking grafts.
  7. Density and redness has improved since your last photos. Yeah the left looks like it is lagging a bit, but at 5 months all that matters is gradual improvement. Just keep growing and see you in a few months. Good luck
  8. Melvin how about Dr. Alexander in Phoenix? He is doing Artas fue extraction.
  9. Certainly can see the issues you are talking about, but at 9 months still plenty of time to see change. Some people are also slow growers. Need to wait it out until atleast 12 months if not a little more. It will be interesting to hear what the doctor has to say. Best of luck! Following this thread.
