  1. Hi Phill, The result is excellent. You are very lucky, indeed! I will give it a try as well. I am only wondering if you experienced any side effects at all.
  2. Hi Phill, Is it really possible? I am in a similar situation as the poster, so I was wondering if I should also try finasteride first. Is it the same as Propecia? Any side-effects? Thanks
  3. Hello Khan78, Thank you for your detailed responses to most of the questions raised here. You have not, however, addressed the issue of harvesting grafts from beard. I am almost a NW 6 and would like to go through the HT procedure for once only. I have a full grown beard the hair of which are much better than the hair on my head. Would Dr Keser be able to extract at least around 5000 grafts from both my head and beard?
  4. I understand that generally body hair are not of the same strength and texture as hair on our heads, however, there are always exceptions. The hair of my beard, for example, are of excellent quality. I would be lucky if had them on my head. So, does Dr Keser take such exceptional instances into consideration? Please let me know if he does, because I am thinking of requesting him to perform a mega session on me, whereby he can harvest at least around 4,500-5000 grafts from both, my head and beard.
  5. Hello drmstx, Thanks for the advice. Your hair quality seems very much like mine, I think. How has been your experience with propecia and minoxidle? Does Dr Madhu insist on taking these drugs? I was wondering if you could put here a picture of your scar. Thanks.
  6. Maxxy, thanks a lot for your detailed reply. It helped. Is it possible to conceal the scar resulted due to FUT by doing FUE into it?
  7. I haven't had a personal consultation with any FUE surgeons yet simply because I don't know who is best at it in India (my current location). I have, however, sent my pics to Dr Keser who says I can have a maximum of 3000 graft transplanted. I know that won't do much for me. I will resume my online consultation with Dr Keser after learning a little more about the FUE method. I am aware of the cost but am not sure as to whether it will be as successful as FUT and whether it will leave scars. From the responses above it seems that it probably will leave scars. Its only the scar due to which I am not considering FUT. I frequently shave my hair. I will decide in a month whether to go for FUE or not go for surgery at all (don't think yet I will consider FUT due to scar issue).

  9. Thanks for the responses. I want to post the pics but I am not sure how to do it. I am going to try now. Please see below if it works.. 1 2 3 4 5
  10. Hello Subbu Thanks for your reply. His website says he charges rs 150 per graft. Do you think he just wants to scare away the FUE candidates because he is not good at it? I am not sure myself if FUE is the right choice for me and hence I want to learn more about it, especially about its downsides. The only thing preventing me from considering FUT is the scar it leaves. I am fond of keeping short hair. But then I don't know if FUE also causes scars.
  11. Could someone please tell me the downsides of FUE? I would also like to know whether FUE also leaves behind permanent scars. The thing is that from time to time I like to shave my head, so I am concerned whether I will be able to do that if I go for a HT surgery. I thought FUE was a better option for me, but then I read somewhere it too leaves a lot of scars. I am not sure if that is true, though. In an earlier post I enquired regarding best surgeons of FUE in India, particularly regarding Dr Madhu, but did not get any response yet.
  12. I am a new member of the forum and am very eager to learn about the best HT surgeons in India. I see that Dr Madhu's expertise in FUT is praised by almost everybody here, however, no one seems to know much about his practice of FUE (despite the fact that it is offered at his clinic). Since I am seriously considering going for FUE only, I would appreciate if someone could tell me more regarding FUE performed by Dr Madhu. Also, someone please direct me to discussions on the side effects of Minoxidle and Propecia etc. Thanks
