  1. Hey Thinning_temples 25: I agree with trying to avoid the HT surgery if you can. I never wanted to try the topical solutions that are even on the market, because with those it is long term continued use. I have done a great deal of research on my own, and I found some products that no one here seemed to have touched on. Read my post in Herbal Remedies. Who would have thought that something as using a shampoo daily, or at least three times a week will regrow your hair, even if you are bald from chemo therapy. I will be starting the shampoo soon, and I am hoping for some great results. I am going to chart my progess, take pictures and share.
  2. I have read a lot of the posts here but I didn't see any info on the two products that I have found that I think may be a God send. I just recently started an oral supplement, and after 3 weeks I feel a slight tingling in my scalp at times, and I have noticed some fine hairs coming in where I had no hair. I don't know if I am allowed to post the name of the supplement, but it contains a lot of ingredients that I have found promote hair growth. The ingredients are; Saw Palmetto, Fu Ti Root, MSM, Collagen Type II, Bu Gu Zhi fruit powder, Han Lian Cao, L-Cysteine HCI, L-Methionine, Horsetail Extract, Borage Oil, White Tea Extract, Oat Bran, Milk Thistle, Flaxseed Oil, Bioperine, Vitamins A,C, and E, Biotin which is a B vitamin, Iodine from kelp, Zinc, and Selenium. It can be used by men and women. It states that women see almost immediate results, and men in about 2 months. This is a stand alone supplement that you don't have to use with anything else, but since I have been suffering with hair loss for so many years I want to boost my results by using the shampoo also. The shampoo and treatment was formulated by a doctor. I could not find the ingredients for it, but it is created from a gland extract. The shampoo along with the scalp treatment is supposed to produce results, even if you have Alopecia Universalis, MPB, or Alopecia from DNA. It will regrow hair that was lost on other areas of the body also, and if you are completely bald, or if your baldness was even caused by chemo therapy. I will be ordering the shampoo and treatment this week. This is not something that you have to use continually for fear that your hair will start to fall out again. For the first time in years I am excited about getting my hair back. Up until 3 years ago I did not know what the cause of my hair loss was from. I know this is going to be a slow process but I am going to hang in there with this unti I get the results that I want. I wanted to share this since I did not see it here. All of these can be used by men and women. Perhaps it will help others. If anyone is familiar with the shampoo and treatment or the oral supplement please post some facts.
  3. Saw palmetto is a key ingredient in hair re-growth products. When you stopped taking it you noticed the results. I would find something with the saw palmetto and other ingredients, i.e., biotin, silica, or Indian gooseberry. It will probably level out the foul odor.
  4. I personally have not heard of this one, but in looking at it some of the ingredients are the same found in products recommended for women. I am sure you know that the loss of hair in women, if not hereditary or DNA is caused by hormonal imbalances, and use of prescription medications. If this is the case in your research you have to find the natural remedies that are specific to your individual problem. Biotin, Saw palmetto, MSM, grape seed, stingng nettle, zinc, and the copper are found in a lot of remedies prepared for females. I would not refer to any oral supplement as bulls**t, because sometimes your internal parts need a boost. You have to find what will be best for you.
