I got to know of after it later. I’m wondering what kinda damage might have happened for the duration I used. Is it something I should worry?

I assumed that I can resume my normal life 7 days after transplant and used a helmet while driving for 30 minutes (15 minutes to and fro) on the 8th day after FUE transplant. What the level of risk due to this?

@Bb111 Temple points are covered by existing hair. So it doesn't look bad now. Still not sure how it looks when I shorten it. 

I would love to hear other's opinion on the result so far. Some doubles in the hairline and density is worrying me a bit

May I know how was your experience with Akeso?

I don't think so because intuitive extrapolation is not irrational. That's how anyone distinguishes a bad transplant from good one reasonably soon after a transplant (as opposed to waiting for an year to figure out if something went bad). But if there is enough evidence that this is normal (like shedding), then I'm unnecessarily worrying.

Thanks @Captain Haddock. I Just cut around 4 hair which are very thick using a scissor. Won't mess with this anymore.

I did talk to a Eugenix doctor. Says it might be shedding but no one gives me a clear answer about why angles look like that (for almost all temple hairs in a pattern)

I don't understand this as well. Hairs which are clearly angling in a different direction than natural surrounding hair, how do they course correct over time? Can't this argument be used for every early stage (bad) transplant with weird angulations ? Is there any document explaining this for temples?

I had to trim these hairs off  because a friend pointed it out today without me mentioning anything about my dissatisfaction. I've to say, feels bad

Yeah Dr.Arika did the slits.

I showed this to a friend who's more experienced with hair transplants than me and he feels these angles are very carelessly done and buzz cut would always look weird. Would love opinions of more experienced folks of the community and what I can do to correct this

PS: Why are temples looking so weird. One one side, at the bottom, it's unnaturally thick. On the other side, the angles are weird

After my last minute pull out of surgery last time (from a different clinic), I've gathered enough conviction and courage to go through this again.

My surgery is scheduled for tomorrow

Approximate grafts: 1500 - 2000. Excited and scared

Update: 1700 grafts

Overall the procedure went fine IMO. It was a bit painful in between and they had to top up anesthesia almost 8 - 10 times. I asked the doctor if density can be improved at places where my hair was very thin but she isn't very keen to do so as transplanted hair would cover the sparse areas and finasteride would improve things. I'm not very sure of this though as I've been using finasteride for almost 2 years now

Unethical might be being too hard on them because they've agreed to return my deposit. But definitely very unprofessional. Fortunately the doctor made my decision very easy by being very indifferent. 

But I later came to know through local news that the hospital went through some kind of robbery and the doctor has been very busy dealing with media and police. So my experience might be an exception. But I would suggest the doctor to postpone surgeries during such times. Going though a knife is such a big decision for patients and cutting the scalp in high stress in a sleep deprived state is very disrespectful (towards patients and profession)

Sorry I haven't been active. I'm now considering a new doctor. This is my shortlist at the moment

100%. Definitely an ethical doctor.

If it's not clear, the reason I've dropped is simple 

* Not going to risk undergoing a knife without the conviction that doctor and I have clearly discussed the procedure and expectations

At 12 30 mid night, this is not possible IMO. I'm definitely tired and half asleep. Doctor also looked very tired and the conversation is going in a manner that is not productive. 

Does that mean that the doctor is not good? Ofcourse not. I've been following his work for 4 years and still think he's one of the best. It just looked like a bad day at his office and I didn't want to risk a surgery at that point

@GatsbySorry I missed your question. Yes I’m taking finasteride 1mg for the last 8 months. Alternate days 

@WandererindYeah. They have woken me up at 12 30 AM and I’ve met the doctor then. Given that’s the first time I’m speaking to the doctor, I expected a thorough discussion and communicate my density and hairline expectations clear. That certainly didn’t happen. Energy levels of the doctor as well as mine are clearly super low. 

Also I’ve assumed (probably mistakenly) that at this price (by Indian standards) it would be one surgery per day. Doctor was a bit defensive when I brought up the topic of 2 surgeries. In his words “I can charge you 5x the price and do that”. But he later explained how his process is streamlined well and the surgeries are isolated well that he doesn’t need to monitor everything and the quality won’t be compromised. I found this argument convincing. 

The meeting concluded at approximately 1 AM. The meeting went in a very indifferent manner. Probably due to the hour at which this happened. Finally I’ve decided to not go ahead with the surgery after such poor interaction and a sleep deprived night (for me as well as the doctor). 

Some how people and the doctor are trying to label this as my “confusion”.  I certainly don’t agree

They are good enough to tell me that they’ll transfer back my advance without me specifically asking. They were also kind enough to let me stay in their accommodation when I reached on 24th night. Their manager called me in the morning today and assured that this is an exception, not a norm.
 

I’ve logged all the details from start to now to journal my whole experience here but there is no point in presenting the details now. I’ll try to not let this trip go completely waste and go see Jaipur

It’s 10:30 pm here. Surgery is supposed to start at 6:00 am tomorrow. Still haven’t seen the doctor. Haven’t spoken to him once. With my apprehensions now, I think it’s better to not go ahead with the surgery in this state of mind. What a disappointing trip this has been till now

Hello All,

My surgery with Dr Suneet Soni of Medispa is scheduled on 26th February 2021. I was given an estimation of 4000 grafts with combined FUT + FUE. I'll update this post with pictures soon. I'll log my hair transplant experience and regrowth journey here and I'll try to be as detailed as possible.
