  1. I asked about the fibers a few days ago, I was told no, but to wash out at night to be safe
  2. As per title. Shaved my head 2 months ago, it's regrowing but extremely slowly causing me distress so I am using hair fibres as a measure over the entire scalp until the length returns, I imagine this can be around 6 months. Will fibres cause me further hair damage, just to be clear I have NOT had any transplant, this is my natural hair
  3. @gillenator hi thanks im not sure what your saying, im already aware that i am diffusively thinnning thats very obvious as i am a NW5 diffuse, what i am asking is now as i have shaved to the skin, will this have killed some follicles or could it be a case of follicles that were previously long and providing coverage are now ina position where they are just not growing anymore
  4. @gillenator thanks for the reply I am 34 years old. It has been 1 month and there is barely any coverage. I'm sunlight I can't see any hairs. I worried as I shaved it the weaker follicles that were providing coverage, just don't have the strength to grow longer and cover. Unfortunately I don't have before photos but I had hair everywhere, but thinning hair But I do have after photos. One a week after shaving and another 20 days after
  5. No it's far from full when grown out, but can be styled so doesn't look too bad. But now I shaved it, it has been one month and I am barely seeing growth. Just a few strands so I'm thinking maybe it won't return to it's original state
  6. Hi all I shaved my head to the skin Just to see what sort of condition I am really in in preparation of thinking about a transplant. I was shocked to see I'm a NW5 diffuse thinner. Although I have full coverage my existing hair was thinning everywhere. My worry now is that the hair I had will not regrow back to the original condition it was in pre shave, is this possible, could I have made myself more bald by shaving Fyi I'm not on and medication to preserve my hair.
  7. Have you got any images pre transplant, post transplant and how you look now
  8. That's the problem I can't find cases on this site. That's what I'm asking for help with. I don't have any miniturizing in the donor at the moment, but I'm only 34 so who knows. I've tried topical fin and still same issues.even as low as 0.01ml e.o.d. I believe fin builds up in the system over time. I'm not willing to try oral minox due to lack of long term studies on the heart, risk outweighs reward. Which is why I'm thinking transplant without fin. But I can't find long term results anywhere. I just want to guage typically how long does it last for the average person. If I could look decent to my 50s, I'd say worthwhile.
  9. Hi all. I am trying to find if there are any posts on people who have had a transplant without finasteride over say a 5-10year period. I've searched extensively and there does see to be any on the forum Unfortunately finasteride in all forms and doses absolutely messes with me. Gyno, low libido, painful ejaculation maybe depression aswell. I am 34years old and norwood 3/4 ish vertex I've been told. But I'm a diffuse thinner so don't think I fall on the scale properly. In the right light my hair looks ok, but bright lights definitely looks see through My plan would be to have a moderately higher hairline. And concentrate on front and midscalp (front for just now as midscalp is okish) Im happy to leave the crown so I could bank as many grafts for top ups as a last resort.
  10. Hi all I have previously had side effects on finasteride both oral and topical, so I would like to try topical dutasteride as I hear possibly this reduces sides due to molecule size. However I am very confused as to the differences in the versions. Ideally I would like the xyon gel as supposedly the silicone formula is most risk free, but that's not available in the UK. the other option seems to be fueclinic and anagenica, but are they the same company? When I emailed fueclinic, the response was from anagenica, so is fueclinic just a middle man. then farmacia parati, I think I read somewhere, their version is the same as xyon? Is this correct, how do I go about ordering with them. Wild west of hair treatments thanks
  11. Thanks @Melvin- Moderator makes it clear. In your opinion is the liposomal better. I've just done a bit of research and people mention the liposomal enhances the absorption, which in theory may be worse as it penetrates deeper and more goes systemic. Also are you aware of any reputable topical dutasteride in the UK. It's pretty pricey at about £80 a bottle
  12. Hi all I'm looking at buying topical dutasteride (have bad sides on oral finasteride). They have advised there's 2 options one called lipo dutasteride and one called tricodutasteride. The difference is one contains liposmal and the other does not. Can someone explain what is liposomal and is there some advantage of one type over the other, particularly anything in relation to side effect profile or efficacy. Thanks
  13. Hi all, I have previously tried oral finasteride and topical finasteride( made myself) but had side at all doses down to 0.25mg EOD, i have read topical dutasteride may not give sides due to molecular weight, but it doesnt seem like theres any genuine large scale studies on this and its anecdotal. so rather than waiting around as my hair dissapears i think ill just try myself but its difficult to understand exactly what supposed benefits different variations give(something about liposmal solution etc...). what would be recommended solution in your experiences for my situation? from my limited research it seems my options in the UK are limited and most people go to farmacia parati or fueclinic (both international). is there benefit of one over the other, does anyone have a idea of the cost of either plus shipping. I would like to nip this in the bud soon as possible, if it doesnt work at least i know where i stand and can decide on transplant without medication or shave in the next year ( i am 33 if that make any difference) thanks all
