Retressed

I know it’s been quite awhile. Meant to update along the way but life got in the way. Figured I’d do a little update now as posts like this gave me the confidence to go through with this. Not the best photo’s just ones that were easy to crop my hair out. Tried to get as many different angles and lights as I could. 

Really pleased with how things turned out. There’s one spot that’s a little weaker that maybe one day I’d like fixed but it is easily hid and only really noticeable to me. Can easily style my hair now and mostly forget I’ve ever had anything done.

So it’s been exactly 5 months now. Things are coming along I think. I also managed to find and old picture of my before hair. Not the greatest shot and it’s a few years old but I didn’t take many hairline pictures before. 

Haven’t posted in awhile. Wasn’t much to report, usual ugly duckling phase. Hairs fell out and head was red. It sucked but covid did make things a bit better since I wasn’t doing much  anyways. 

This is just past 3.5 months. Back is just cut with a 1 guard.

Cheers. Yeah can’t believe how well it healed. So happy I’ll be able to cut the back sides to almost any length. Didn’t ask about how many more I have in the tank.

I went in for my first few hair washes at the clinic. They told me that area would scab up worse. I think I was too gentle with it at first. Shortly after I gave it a good soak and they came off.

Looks amazing man. I just had something similar done with Dr. Hasson a couple weeks before you. Wish you all the best during the recovery process. Make sure you take care of those precious grafts during the first week. Also, I wish someone would have told me. this - try to really enjoy the period from week 2 until the time you shed - it's a true testament to how you will feel after everything grows in. Hold onto that feeling because by week 4, you will likely shed and enter the ugly duckling phase - which is a huge buzz kill.

Cheers. Yeah we weren’t too far apart and had similar work done. Should be fun to track each others progress! I opted to keep the top longer so I’m not enjoying that full buzz cut look now but during the shedding stage I’m planning on rocking a gnarly comb over to try and hide things a bit. We’ll see how it works out, thankfully I can work with a hat on.

Cheers. Yeah I couldn’t believe how quickly it went back to looking normal. You could never tell anything was done and I feel confident cutting it down to a 0.5.

Can’t say enough good things about the clinic. Lives up to the billing you always here mentioned with it. Only note I’d make for people going into things is the swelling is real and really sucks and sleeping comfortably the first few days after can be a challenge. After that it’s pretty smooth sailing.
