  1. Personally, during my first hair transplant I got quite a bit of hair growth in 3-6 month mark then drastically slowed down. My 2nd procedure I'm nearly 4 months in to add density in the hairline and see virtually nothing.
  2. Hi all, Just wanted to get some general feedback. For those patients that have had multiple procedures, did it seem like your hair grew out quicker during your 1st hair transplant versus the following procedures? Thanks in advance!
  3. I know this is a loaded question with, perhaps, different thoughts on the subject. Is there a consensus of when (what day) grafts are fully anchored into the scalp? Bonus question: thoughts on gently rubbing grafts while you shower with your clinics approved shampoo? Once again, I know different clinics have different philosophys but I'm open to hearing them!
  4. This is such a thoughtful and well thought out answer. Very true! I appreciate this feedback!
  5. I'm going to see Dr. Nader in July to get my hairline softened and filled in. I tend to always cut my hair short. I don't care about my fue scars, people generally don't notice or don't care enough to comment on it. Is it worth me "wasting" grafts in the temporal peak region if I am going to cut my hair short anyway? Would implanted hairs in this area even look good if I cut my hair short? Dr. said it's not necessary to achieve a natural result/ especially considering my hair style choice. Thoughts?
  6. He did, he gave me a base price based on what he sees in pictures. However, he mentioned that if I need less grafts than quoted we can adjust the price then. I believe if it's more grafts the price stays the same. I'm just not sure what that price would look like if I need less grafts as that's still a variable. I was curious how that went for other guys in similar situation.
  7. Hi guys, I just wanted to get some feedback from guys that have been to Dr. Luis Nader for a procedure. My graft estimate is between 800-1200. I know Dr Nader offers a 10% discount for cash. He said we'd get a more clear picture once I see him. But I've seen guys within the last year post varying prices for around the same amount of grafts. What price should I expect? I just wanted to get some thoughts from guys that have been there in regards to pricing, so that I know how much cash to withdrawal. Thanks in advance.
  8. Odd but true, sometimes I use rogaine foam as a type of styling mousse. This has been helpful along with a little bit of pomade. It just depends on the texture and style you're looking for. Have fun with it!
  9. Random question, but were you able to book a non-stop flight from California? I can't seem to find any that go to McAllen airport.
  10. Thanks, I truly appreciate your positive feedback. The temporal peaks are complicated for me because I tend to like my hair shorter on the sides and it seems like it would be a waste of grafts if I don't grow it out (which I know I wouldn't). I think softening the hairline with a second procedure and density would make my hair easier to style
  11. Hi Melvin, I'm inclined to agree with you. In an objective setting I know it's not terrible, but I also believe that the result and experience could have been better. With that being said, I do think another procedure will be helpful.
  12. As the comment section suggests, it's a mixed result even for me. Depending on the day, the lighting, haircut and product manipulation it's not so bad. I would definitely say it's an average yet personally underwhelming result.
  13. At this point, I think he would be happy with a more natural shape to his hairline than the directions of the follicles. You can always compensate with good hair products. However, hairline design is crucial because it frames your face. I have the same problem.
  14. I remember being on accutane as late as 24! It really worked and although it dried my skin it kept it very tight and made me look younger. You have to moisturize though even though that's counter intuitive. Good stuff, not sure how much it affect your hair though.
  15. Hi all, I've been trying to get a hold of Dr Nader's office to book a consultation/ procedure. I was able to get a hold of Brenda Salazar (office assistant) 6 months ago but my recent email and phone call this week has not been responded to. Does anyone know if they're currently on vacation? Any advice from previous Nader patients on getting a hold of him? I am very grateful for any input. Thanks.
  16. I hear you, I get frustrated in the morning combing my hair and I joke with my wife "I got a hair transplant so I wouldn't have to do a comb over, yet here I am" lol. I am still waiting on his response as he tends to be in high demand, but I'll let you know as soon as he gets back to me. But overall, other doctors I have talked to have advised me against removing and replanting grafts; instead they suggest to add some shape to the hairline and add density in a few spots so that my desired hair style will be able to stay. Please keep me in the loop if any doctor gives you additional suggestions. We got this brother 👍
  17. Hi FUE 2300, I 100% agree with the statements you made in regards to the overall hairline design/ follicle directions. I have also seen very similar hair design patterns come out of HMR so I am glad I am not the only one who has noticed this. I do believe that curving the edges into the temporal peaks would certainly help along with adding some grafts onto the hairline to create a widows peak. As far as removing and implanting the current grafts that would be a tall task as you risk losing what is implanted. Definitely keep consulting with multiple doctors and go with your instincts. As you said, it is important to have a conversation with your doctor about hair design and styling options after the procedure. I am currently consulting with Dr. Luis Nader. With that being said, congratulations, I do believe you've achieved a great result in density and yield!
  18. I personally do not. Feel free to review my past-post from my own experience. Of course this is just my opinion. I know others feel otherwise.
  19. Regardless I am due for another procedure (definitely somewhere else). I think adding density and adjusting the hairline design to a more natural widows peak will help.
  20. I can assure you it wasn't funny. I can usually make things work with hairspray but sometimes it's annoying as hell.
