Even if a doctor has a superb process, there are still risks / variables that the outcome may not be as expected. All a quality process can do is minimise the probability of a bad outcome. Regardless of that, you are only at 6 months. As other have pointed out, there's a lot of opportunity for further growth / development.

FUE has same or higher survival rate than FUT?
HTP1 replied to Rolandas's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
Of course FUT can be poor, too. That looks like some atypical stretching for whatever reason. I had FUE, so I am certainly for it. But for larger surgeries I'd opt for an FUT surgery. -
FUE has same or higher survival rate than FUT?
HTP1 replied to Rolandas's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
It should read 'too many FU are taken'. Think what happens with FUT. The area of skin where the FUs are taken from is removed from the scalp in exchange for some scalp laxity. The question is then how neat the scar will be. Whether 1000 or 9000 are taken, the question is around the scar. The remaining hair on the scalp is untouched and can easily cover up the FUT scar, even with larger surgeries. With FUE the area of skin where the FUs are taken is still there on the scalp, and if you take too many there aren't enough remaining to cover the ones which were taken. Google 'FUE over-harvesting' and you'll see the thinning I am referring to, Edited to add a fine example. -
FUE has same or higher survival rate than FUT?

Because too FU are taken so the area is overharvested because there isn't enough remaining hair to cover the missing ones up / scars up. How do you think FUE overharvesting happens? -
FUE has same or higher survival rate than FUT?
HTP1 replied to Rolandas's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
Because you'd create over 9000 individual scars that have a much larger surface area of scar tissue than the FUT scar and have a significant risk of FUE overharvesting. That as opposed to using up skin elasticity and creating a relatively small linear scar. -

Just caught up with this topic. I've been on the internet some time and seen some dipshit hole digging, but this is probably the best I've ever seen. Brilliant 😂 Reminds me of South Park; "Iraq / Iran what's the difference?" You should have managed the Spanish national team. I'm sure you could have got Ronaldo to play for them... Norway / Sweden would be better example than Scotland and England to highlight the stupidity as the languages also have some mutual intelligibility. On topic, Dr F is class. -
Should I switch from Diep to Hasson?

Am I right in thinking this site used to recommend a couple of Turkish doctors who were later removed? If that’s true, what did they do to lead to being removed? I’m curious as to the thresholds given this thread. -
Should I switch from Diep to Hasson?
HTP1 replied to Buffaloboy's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
I don't think there's any doubt Diep can / has produced world class results. A fair few evidenced on here. What I'd say to that is THAT'S HIS JOB. The same as if I attend a Michelin starred restaurant. Their job is to cook the best food, all of the time. That's the baseline expectation. However, if I see a few reviews / evidence of the restaurant serving shit, then the fact they can / have produced amazing food doesn't rescue it for me. I'll not take the risk (the risk of a bad result is what we're speculating upon here) and choose an alternative. The communication you describe is unacceptable. You're not a customer, you're a patient. You're going to potentially have concerns and worries only the person leading / performing the surgery can assist with. Sure, they're busy people, but could a 15 minute call not be made for someone who has already put a deposit down within a 7 day window? Of course it could. -

You're spoilt for choice in the US. No need to take any unnecessary risks. -

No brainer for me. Why take the risk of some of things we've seen on here? If I look at a restaurant and out of 100 people 80 get amazing meals, and 20 get food poisoning. I am not looking at the 80, I am thinking about the risk of being one of the 20. Change the probabilities how you see fit. -
