  1. I see what you mean from the 3rd pic, however he still seems to be achieving what others are with far less grafts
  2. Hi bro, your hair isn’t ‘Afro’ per say. There are many examples for instance- Jewish people and Middle Eastern people who it is more akin to. It’s essentially wavy. As such, based on my extremely limited knowledge, it would be suitable for you to consult most proficient surgeons.
  3. Nice results. That guy you posted that you're following has been bought back from the crypt! Hairline looks spot on!
  4. How is he getting these results from such small graft numbers whereas others look sparse with sometimes 1.5x the amount?
  5. This is the 2nd thread I've seen where Farjo are producing what seems like stellar results from a low graft count. Do you have any updates on how it's looking now and if you still felt it needed more density? Thanks for the information!
  6. Looking good, just getting this on my radar.
  7. This is interesting as your results seemed pretty good in my inexperienced opinion at the 12 month point, however the doctor himself felt there was a need for a top up... Thanks for your write up, glad your HT came out well.
  8. Hi, interesting post. If the main issue is infection post surgery and we aren’t seeing this in those whom have had bad results. What is causing this issue with poor results coming from HairDr?
  9. Wow, I’ve got to say that this clinic was one of the 2 in the U.K. I was considering. I’ll need to seriously reassess the situation now. Info much appreciated guys!
  10. Hi guys still trying to decide what clinic to go with. I’ve had a look into HDC but their prices are out of my reach. I have a budget of £5k to get the procedure complete. This rules out the likes of Ferriera and Basinga, et al unfortunately. Weighing up the time it would take to get the extra money together vs the other things I could do with it I’ve decided to stick with my budget. With that in mind I’d really appreciate some suggestions within that price range. Thanks.
  11. Have a quick update, shaved my hair down low in preparation to have it slightly shorter post HT. it’s given me a far better understanding of the areas that are troublesome. I’ve got a hammer head lol. Moving on, my main issues are that my recession is pushing back my temple tip area and making it seem like a big round half circle from my ear to the middle of my forehead. Now my hair is low it doesn’t seem to me from looking at other people’s HTS that I will require 2500-3000 grafts as a few docs I consulted with (Ferreira, Bisanga and Doganay were suggesting.) To be fair to them, hadn’t seen my hair this low... FYI, not too sure about Doganay anymore, not ASMED. I understand that there are better in Turkey for similar if not better prices. Their names allude me at this moment... Any suggestions on how many grafts it looks like I may need? ive attaches a pic of what ASMED we’re suggesting, although as mentioned they were all in taut ballpark. Bit of a picture overload but the more the merrier, no?😁
  12. Hello. Your analysis is much appreciated as someone whom is a newcomer to this area. Saying that, I would like to think I understand business quite well. Your breakdown isn’t the usual steer clear of hair mills type post. It actually helps to highlight the issues that people need to be aware of when visiting cheaper mills. It’s this kind of detailed information that is very helpful and allows others to consider when conducting their initial due diligence on any of the cheaper clinics. The thing is, people are always going to want to pay less, and in many cases it’s will be all they can afford. We need a more robust analysis of why it is that the mills seem to produce 50/50 results. Information like yours helps us newbies to understand why... It does seem that when black guys are getting their mill HTs, the hairline, which seems to be the point of much contention, is always dead straight. I’m of mixed heritage, I’ve always had a straight cut hairline from young. Once my HT is comeplete I will ask the barber to cut it straight again- ala the pictures attached. In the black community we only revere barbers that won’t push your hairline back, will keep it dead straight and can create a ‘sunshine fade’. As such dead straight hairlines are actually a bonus to us....
  13. I appreciate your honesty and wish you the best with your issue moving forward. I also most definitely appreciated your experience as it does indeed add juxtaposition. I will be embarking on my first HT journey soon all experiences are more than helpful.
  14. @Peezus Sounds rough bro, hopefully you can get that sorted out in the near future. I’ve seen some pretty bad cases and they were saved on here. Don’t loose faith as despite my comments above there are truly some magicians in the world of HT. I’m sure you will find someone who is right for your particular job. The issue I personally have with statements like the one you made originally are that it makes it seems like the OP is a paid shill for HOI, we have no proof he is or isn’t. Statements like this obfuscate the actual truth about HOI. You go onto to day we should refer to your post, as if it were the only experience anyone had with HOI. Now, I might be being a tad insensitive here so please cut me a little slack, but why should we believe your experience will be that which the majority of people experience as opposed to that of the OP’s? Asked with all due respect of course...
  15. @Peezus I appreciate your interjection, I am all for objectivity and openness. I’ve read your post and it sounds harrowing. The donor did look pretty rough post surgery. Although, I will also say the picture that you have a kinda Mohican style hair cut, taken from the side view your hair looks ok. Then again I’m no expert. Plus the other pictures it’s hard to tell how bad it is. Add to this I’m using my phone. Maybe some clear upto date pictures will help display the issues are they currently stand. However, getting back to this post. As you state there are two sides to every coin... It just so happens that we have both sides right here for a change and they willing to provide insight. So as you also say the rest of the brethren do not fall foul to the same issues you have faced. Hopefully the OP will chime in with whom done his work and how he managed to avoid the nightmares we are told occur in Turkish HT clinics.
  16. It’s funny you bring this up because I’ve never seen a black guy complaining about his HT from Turkey. However, I see many people with European hair type talking about bodged hair transplants from Turkey. It’s not clear at all, especially when people start talking about low cost and it being a factor not to go to Turkey. Then you read on and the 2 guys people do talk well about in Turkey charge similar to the “hair mills”. I fear it’s turned into a bit of an echo chamber on here regarding Turkish hair clinics/ “mills” - just repeat what the OG’s say. Lol. There also seems to be a stigma against anyone that doesn’t have the money to visit what people deem as the “good” doctors. Again, I’ve seen terrible results from both “good” and “bad” clinics. I think the people with the money to go to top clinics aren’t including the possibility that the people without the money can’t just “save until you can pay X clinics” maybe what they have now is all they can for the foreseeable future afford. Better to provide cheaper, but still good quality alternatives imho. To suggest all hair mill type clinics in Turkey are putting out Bodge jobs is insane. If that were the case they’d be forums full of people crying about their bodged Turkish HT’s. For the most part , personally, I don’t see the huge wave of people we should be seeing if this were all very accurate reporting. ultimately, in life, you get what you pay for, but when people like Wong (of Hasson and Wong) states that one of his techs can do some of the procedure better than he can, you do have to wonder about this one size fits all approach to discussing Turkish clinic/ “mills” due to techs doing all the work... #RantOff
  17. Hi, thanks for your posts and videos! Much appreciated. You hear a lot of bad things about the Turkish clinics but seems you’ve had excellent results.
  18. Getting repsonses back from the surgeons, they seem to be quoting between 2k-2.5k. The last 2 pics I’m the first set of pics is how I’d like to wear it, currently it’s either under a cap or combed back down and flat.
  19. Hi, I’ve added another photo. You still thinking 1K? Thanks for your input.
  20. I keep hearing this so I’ve taken a picture under direct sunlight plus combed my hair up and inward to show loss. I think I need one to be honest bro... Plus it bothers me immensely, I love my hair now it’s stuck under a cap most days 😫
  21. Hi, not choosing Drs based on price alone, but obviously price is a factor. Thanks for your advice, and the forums! After reading thread on here for the past few weeks, I can see I have a lot to learn!!
  22. Anybody else have any input on the amount of grafts required?
  23. I will consider what you say, however I think the decesion has already been made.
