  1. I appreciate the response! Thank you. I agree, I need to get over the concern for redness. I think it is starting a new job and meeting lots of important people that is making this so tough. Regarding my initial questions, have you (or anyone) seen successful make-up concealment of redness? I've read about a number of products that would seem to be effective. I feel like there must be a lot of transplant patients who have tried this at a month out, just curious to hear their experience. I'm surprised so many HT surgeons tell patients that the redness is gone in 2 weeks. That just seems to flat out not be accurate.
  2. Hi everyone, I’m new to the site (couple weeks only) but found it super helpful so thank you all for posting. I’m about to change jobs and am contemplating 1300 FUE to strengthen my hairline. My doc (Paul Rose) has good credentials and offers a no-shave recipient site. I have lots of concerns/questions but my main concern currently is post op appearance and redness. I’ll have just shy of 5 weeks from the time of the transplant before I start work. I am constantly working with people face to face plus I’ll be meeting new coworkers for the first time so I’d really like to avoid looking like I obviously had a transplant. Most docs say redness is gone after 2 weeks but literally 90% or more of the post op photos I’ve seen show significant redness (noticeable at the minimum) for at least 4-8 weeks. I’ve read that you can use redness concealing make-up safely at 1 month as the grafts are secured by then for sure. Does anyone have photos of covering redness with makeup? People talk about it but I’ve never seen photos? I’m assuming at 5 weeks out I’ll have redness (Caucasian, fair skinned) but I could try to conceal it. I need to cancel in a few days if I’m going to get my deposit back, just so many unknowns and I feel quite anxious about going for it. Truth is I will likely never have another stretch of 5 weeks with no work so it also seems like the best possible time to do it. Any thoughts here from those that have gone before? We are all different I know.
