  1. Haha thanks man! Not the first time I’ve heard that. I actually regularly listen to that podcast. Andrew Schulz is my fav comedian right now!
  2. Thank you! I totally agree with what you’re saying. I think it all comes down to personal risk and tolerability for health decisions
  3. Thanks for the kind words everyone! Attached are six month post opp pics taken a few min ago in front of natural lighting. Couldn’t be more thrilled at the result 😃🙏🏾 I’m now able to style my hair in ways I couldn’t before. I’ve always wanted to do a comb over style with a part but was afraid to because of my receding hairline.
  4. Thanks for sharing your perspective and experience. For me it’s not even the side effects as much as it is the reliance on the pharmacology route for the next 10-20 years, that worries me. I’m just not a big proponent of putting a non life saving medication into my body for a good portion of my adult life for the sake of saving hair. I think taking anything that modifies your hormonal profile or alters a natural process in your body shouldn’t be taken lightly. I def don’t knock anyone who takes Finasteride. Lots of people do quite well with it. I just made the decision a while ago that it’s not a road I’m willing to go down. I’m 34 and try to take a practical approach with my hair situation. I know this HT wont be a cure all that solves my hair thinning long term. I’m a Norwood 3 and have no idea what I’ll look like 5 years from now. It could be all gone. It could stabilize. Who knows 🤣
  5. Thank you! The only hair specific supplement I take is biotin. I also take a multi vitamin, B12, vitamin c and vitamin d. Ive been on minoxidil since 2015 and also incorporate Nizoral into my hair cleaning regimen at least 2-3 times a week. Other than that I eat healthy and exercise regularly. I believe all of these things matter less if you’re ultimately genetically predisposed to male pattern baldness. I’ve definitely accepted that reality.
  6. My apologies for the delayed response! Attached are pics I took this morning of the donor area. It will be 6 months this week since I had my procedure.
  7. So it has been a long time since I updated on my progress. Now that I’ve hit the 4 month mark I wanted to check in and post some pics. I’m amazed at how well the new hairline has grown in and I’m still only in the early stages of growth. I’m beyond ecstatic at my results so far. The long trip to india and journey through that ugly duckling phase is paying huge dividends. Im so happy I chose Eugenix. I can’t stress that enough. I’ve switched up my hair style now and rock more of a comb over. The new hairline allows me to rock that style while also being a great way to hide thinning at the crown. let me know what you guys think!
  8. Here is a close up. I do have hair fibers on in this pic in the mid scalp region and crown. You can see where the transplant was done on the hair line. I have all these long wavy hairs growing in. Is this looking normal? At what point do I trim or cut these without jeopardizing my potential gains?
  9. Hey all! It has been a while since I posted and just wanted to provide an update. June 24th will be 3 months since I had my HT at Eugenix. These past few months have flown by. My HT seems like ages ago but I’m only nearing the 90 day mark. The numb feeling in my donor and recipient areas has completely subsided. I can finally feel certain parts of my frontal scalp again. I know it takes a while for the nerves in this region to heal. I honestly haven’t shed as much as I thought I would. I’m seeing new hair grow in which is exciting. Looking forward to months 4-8 since that’s when most people say the growing kicks into overdrive! Attached are pics taken today. I’ve been getting by with hair fibers and hats. I did have shock loss and so the hair on my mid scalp is growing back slowly. It’s starting to ramp up now which is encouraging. I’ve always had thinning in my crown so I’m worried that I won’t be able to achieve my previous hair length I had before my HT. It was easy taking the hair in surrounding areas and styling it to cover the crown. As far as meds I’m mainly on Minoxidil and take a few supplements. I also use Nizoral 2x a week and dermaroll. I’m not taking Finasteride and have no plans to do so. I haven’t cut any of the hair on top of my head yet and mainly just get a fade on the sides and back.
  10. Haha! Thanks @NARMAK. To be clear I do have fibers on the top of my head as I did suffer from pretty bad shock loss
  11. Thanks for following along! I totally get what you mean. I’m surprised about how much variance there is in some of the after care instructions/protocols from clinic to clinic. I too have read varying advice about when to do the first post op wash. Eugenix suggested 7 but I’ve also seen everything from 10-14 days as well. I would honestly just go with whatever your clinic/doctor recommended to be safe. You’ve invested so much time and money into the procedure. No need to risk it by expediting certain things or looking for ways to shorten timelines. Do you work in person or remote? With remote work it’s been easy for me to hide the scabbing and the fact I got a HT. But if you’re open to sharing this news with co workers I’m sure they won’t judge you. Congrats on your procedure. Would love to follow your journey as well
  12. Thanks MazAB! Trust me I’m still very much in the ugly duckling phase 😂🦆
