  1. All going well. There's alot of hair growing there. It's still what I'd describe as thin, but there was no hair at all previously. I am going grey though at the back and sides and so alot of transplanted hair is also grey. Plus due to more hair I can also use a toppik if I want to which would have been impossible before. I don't really have any way to judge it, but would say the whole procedure was quite straightforward, and I would do it again. In fact reading around alot of the super looking transplants have often been 3 times. Previously I had tried 4 sessions of PRP because I wanted to try to avoid the post care, but it was far more painful and didn't work at all.
  2. I did 6,000 hairs, unshaven technique. I guess I was a Norwood 5V. I was fortunate that money wasn't a consideration. I had tried PRP before, and this was the last throw of the dice! I'm very happy I didn't go to Turkey. The post care for one week, you can't drink, you can't go out in the sun, you can't wear a baseball cap so theres no relaxing by the pool! It also doesn't look very pleasant so I wouldn't want to be surrounded by others with the same ugly scalp! The first 6 days I had to spray saline solution on the hair every 20 minutes. You can't sleep on your hair so you sleep with a cushion under your neck. I was much happier to be in the comfort of my own home and bed. Dr.Zioga requested morning and night photos showing the area dry and wet, and gave good feedback every day for 4 weeks after procedure. Pre procedure she was also very thorough and insisted on blood tests and an ecg beforehand. She also wants follow up appointments after a couple of months, which I would not have been able to do if I got it done in Turkey
  3. It's 10 weeks now. I have alot more hair than I did. The bald area was completely clean befoe the procedure, now there's lots of hair there but not thick at all. So at this point it's taken me back a few years, but still looks balding. I am told it takes 6-12 months to see the full results. I have some hope as I was told that you often lose the transplanted hair and then it grows back stronger, although to me it just seems there's not enough there. I think Melvin had 3, and I may be tempted to do another later, as the procedure was painless and the post-care wasn't too bad. It seems it's not the magic I was hoping for.
  4. I ended up going with her. You are probably right in that once done if no problem then people just get on with their life and don't post. I did it one month ago and haven't visited any hair loss site since then. I just got an alert about the post to this thread on email, hence my reply. I find Dr.Zioga excellent, reassuring and very professional. The procedure takes a long time but is very low pain. You do need to follow the post procedures so make sure you read these before doing the procedure. They are easy to follow but may impact your lifestyle, for example you have to spray your hair every 30 minutes for the first week etc. The donor areas also look a bit bruised, so I would say while you could go back to work the next day, if you have one week off it will be alot easier, and you can get away with telling everyone you just had a marine haircut! As for results. It's too early to say. I have a significant amount of small hair in the areas that were completely hairless. The donor areas have all healed and now looks normal. I did the unshaven technique, but the donor areas still get shaved to a 0. I am optimistic and quite excited how it will turn out. Feel free to post or PM if you have any questions. Or ask me again in a few months when I can better rate the results.
  5. Thank you. I'll check them out. I don't want to go to India, but Portugal is fine, I'll research them. I had only researched the UK and Ireland options and had started with HRBR as they seemed to have alot of celebrity clients. Then it seemed that Dr Reddy and Dr Zioga were the main two that do DHI/mFue which is what got my attention. I believe they both used to work at the same clinic.
  6. So I've been debating about a hair transplant for quite some time, and visited quite a few doctors including Dr. Reddy. I was most impressed with Dr. Zioga and was just ready to go ahead. But I've just found this site today, and she is barely mentioned and not in the recommended list - although reading the small print the recommended list appears to be sponsored by the surgeons. Please let me know if you have any experience thanks in advance
