Yea, I think another surgery is needed to improve density. I definitely have much more donor area to be used. I just hope more donor was used the first time around.

Thank you for the replies. I guess I have to play the game of having the illusion of hair for my "youth" and consequently dealing with visible scars 10+ years after my native hairs fall (even if I'm on finasteride). I haven't been able to find any pictures of donor sites or recipient sites 10+ years apart ... would love to see how transplants look like many years from now for some!

Hello, some general questions for FUE scars. Which punch size should be acceptable to not show much scarring? Also, lets say 10 years after your transplant you decide to shave it off and go for the bald look ... will you definitely need SMP or some other type of aesthetic procedure to cover up any scarring on the donor and the recipient site? Anything we can do after the transplant to reduce scarring potential or prevent maximum scarring?

They said they will leave it to finasteride to improve but since it's been a year they are planning to do 700 grafts in the crown. However, max 3000 grafts, anything more is from my beard (which I'd rather not have any from beard). They said my lifetime donor capacity is 4500-5000.

Could I ask what makes you say its not an easy case?

They also said I am a Norwood 2 but most doctors are saying I'm 5. Maybe they have a different system?

I've tried topical and it made the thinning more noticeable. Eugenix is great, however they recommended they were not going to operate on the crown and mostly on the frontal but I am trying to get a full coverage.

Yes finasteride has stabilized my hair loss. I've only been on it for a year but it doesn't seem to be progressing much quicker. I am planning to have entire scalp on first session and then maybe in the future do a 2nd transplant. Why would it be better to leave my crown for now if I'm planning on transplanting over it any way? I understand I'm going to lose more hair in the future but why not just get a couple "dense" years in and worry about the rest when I'm much older? I've looked into Eugenix, I am also looking into clinics from Turkey such as ASMED, HLC, Hakan, Dr. Bhatti.

I don't know why one of the top clinics in Canada is saying I have no hope while the other one is suggesting I can get ~100grafts/cm^2 which seems a bit high. I know I'll have to do 2 procedures or more in my life but for the first one, do you think it's wise to find a suitable/reputable doctor in Turkey to get it done for lower cost and then another point in my future go to one of the top doctors and spend more money to fill in density? I've contacted HLC and they are charging 2.5 euros per graft which is pretty expensive compared to other clinics in Turkey.

The wait is because I am doing a lot of research to find a suitable doctor. I've spoken to Rahal and they said I'm better off shaving my head. I've spoken to H&W and they said FUT is best procedure if I want 100 grafts/cm^2... I'm not looking for that many grafts/cm^2, if its possible then yes I'd go for it. I'm looking to get good coverage on my head show my scalp doesn't show so much. Prices are very high in Canada that's why I'm looking for Turkey but with all these travel advisories, I am still trying to look for best option. Do you have any doctors in Turkey or Europe that you recommend? Thanks for your reply.

I've tried minox and finasteride and shaved my head... after all these I still feel like I need to get a HT. I've spoke to some doctors and they recommended FUE of about 5000 grafts. Do you have some reputable doctors that you could recommend?
