Bill, Thanks for you post!! I will be updating my blog this weekend and it is amazing the transformation I have already made from day 1 post-op to currently day 8. I look like a new man, swelling has vanished and I have a blood and scab free hairline. My fiance was with me through every step and she even commented on how much better I look. I know the tough part is ahead with the shedding of grafts but need to stay positive and know that good things are ahead.

Look at results posted by Eman in his blog for an example of Rahal's work. He had his procedure with Rahal with amazing results. If you have been doing your research you have alot of great doctors from the coalition to choose from.

Vocor and Uncjim, Thanks for the helpful information because I just had my first procedure on April 9, 2009 with Dr. Lindsey and his staff. I am in day 5 post-op and just started applying light pressure with my fingertips when washing the grafts, seemingly with good results, no blood, etc. Great explanations of the cycle of new grafts and I will try my best not to worry! Thank you guys for the continuous support. The procedure went very smoothly and Dr. Lindsey and his staff were wonderful from the moment I walked in, until the moment I left. Dr. Lindsey worked on my right frontal triangle and his assistant Wendy (very skilled with a good sense of humor) worked on my left frontal triangle. I made a friendly bet with them that which ever side grows in best dinner would be on me! Time to wait...and wait...and wait

Thank you Eman and I will. Going through the swelling phase now and looking in the mirror every 15 minutes to laugh at myself...looking pretty rough. I am very happy with the initial results though and would go back to Dr. Lindsey in a heartbeat. When the hair grows in it's going to look great. Hello again, I am currently in my second day of post-op healing from the 2,400 graft procedure with Dr. Lindsey and his staff. I know it is early but I am extremely pleased so far with the initial results. Excellent doctor, excellent staff!! I will be updating my blog periodically and would love to hear from anyone with questions/comments.

Thanks guys for the encouraging words. I have been communicating with Dr. Lindsey via email and have spoken with him on the phone. So far he has been top notch and his results prove that. As for my individual case I sent him some pictures and he estimated (since we haven't consulted in person yet) that his best guess would be (strip) 2200 grafts of which about half would be singles and half doubles for around 9k. To put this in perspective, I had originally scheduled a procedure with Bosley for roughly the same number of grafts and they wanted to charge 13k+ Something wasn't sitting right with me so I researched Bosley and the Dr. that was supposed to do the procedure but could find next to no results of the clinic or patients this Dr. had worked on. This worried me so I started doing my homework and was lucky to find the Hair Restoration Forum with unbiased results from real people. (The colorful Bosley info. packet just didn't cut it for me) no pun intended. My consultation is April 8th and the procedure is April 9th so I'm getting close. I am anxious, excited and ready to begin this journey!

I am new to the site but extremely pleased to find a forum that sifts through the BS and is committed to providing patients with the latest, most accurate information about HT's and recommended surgeons. I have a procedure scheduled in April with Dr. Lindsey, McLean, Virginia and to this point he has surpassed all of my expectations. He has been prompt when answering inquiries and seems to genuinely care about his patients. I am coming from out-of-state and he was kind enough to call in the prescriptions for me. Another doctor could have written me a script after the procedure and directed me to the nearest drug store, but Dr. Lindsey did not do that, he went above and beyond. I am looking forward to the procedure and can't wait to provide post-op pics.
