I had two sessions of transplant in Manchester UK some years ago and have had problems ever since with sharp acute pains at the back of head from where the grafts were taken. I wish I had never had it done and it wasn't cheap. Be absolutely certain that you want to go ahead with this procedure as it didn't work for me either. I am left with wearing hair systems which come loose after about a month.

I had it done by Transform in Manchester. The company is still going I believe.

I had 2 sessions of "punch grafts" in 1977 that did not work. I wouldn't advise anyone to have any transplant. The pain I suffered after and since has been awful. Besides the damage that was done to my head I have suffered with sharp shooting pains in my head where the damage was done. It was a complete waste of money. Don't do it.

In 1977 I had 2 x sessions of a hair transplant using the "punch graft" method. Since then I have had constant pain on the right side of head as they damaged the nerves. So much so that I would strongly recommend anyone considering a transplant to think again. Even Elton John didn't have a satisfactory procedure. I would certainly not have gone through with this had I known the dangers.
