Does hair colour impact results?
Doron Harati replied to Otis james's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
Blonde Caucasian hair is usually thinner than the average caliper, therefore the result will have less artificial effect, in a professional HT procedure the clinic implant single grafts only over the first 2-3 cm of the hairline, some single grafts are thinner than others, the thinnest single grafts (usually punched from the edges) will be placed over the 1st cm of the hairline. In some cases, during the procedure our doctors find out that the patient doesn't have enough single grafts for the hairline, in these cases our staff use razors to split double grafts into single grafts under microscopes. These treatments for instance you won't get in a cheap hair mills. In a professional procedure the clinic will do their best for "perfection" but a paitent must also have realistic expectations, transplanted hair looks and grows differently even when it's a top notch job. In my opinion a clinic should have a proper protocol to follow consistently but also diverse results with different hairlines that compliment to the candidate's personality, some grown paitents can have a youthful hairline that will look natural and not weird, I take myself as example, this Saturday I'll be 40 years old, my forehead structure is pretty flat and naturally low, so it was the right choice that Dr. Maras did me the repair procedure straight youthful hairline (but with zigzags for natural contrast), the first clinic in Turkey botched me badly before and now I'm happy, never no one asked or criticized that I should have conservative hairline, however my black hair and grey hair is thinner than the average so it won't look aggressively thick. Usually candidates from Spain, Portugal, Argentina, ect have that aggressive thick single grafts, they also need less single grafts over the hairline to achieve homogenous result with natural hair. Some paitents should have conservative hair, either because of the head structure or limited sonor. At the end these choices are decided both with the patient and the clinic before the surgery date. So it's not only the hair color, it's also the shape and diameter of the hair with the head structure, every paitent is a unique case. -
29 yrs Old Asian, am I balding or is this normal?
Doron Harati replied to krisal's topic in Open Hair Loss Topics
Don't see any hairloss issue, it's where your circulation of crown starts. -
It's a big never-ending story who is right and who's is wrong, especially when it comes to esthetic surgeries. Today we have "influencers, gurus, coachs" without any certifications or direct occupation with medical tourism, the 2 main issues are ordinary people that market something they don't really believe is a good product, or ignorant that have no idea what they market, sometimes it's a combination, very few of them did a deep detailed research and to spread the realistic objective information. Since I was botched very badly by a hair mill in Turkey and a long journey with two repair procedures, I find that the most fair approach as a coordinator is to treat others as I would like to be treated. I believe that getting emotionally involved will make the best expectations with patients. These days, it's very easy to act like some authority without taking any kind of responsibility. My best advice for any candidate is to take the time without any deadline (since it's a medical SOS issue) and gather much information and insights to be as close as possible for reaching out a full realistic satisfaction, this is what I did before I had my 1st repair procedure with Dr. Maras, don't be spontaneous and use a lot of common sense.

Doubles in a natural hairline

Usually Latin males can have some double grafts naturally in the hairline like Diego Maradona. -
HT in one sitting vs multiple
Doron Harati replied to Jay's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
At HDC we do 6000+ sessions with 3 days of surgery, every day we do around 2500 grafts without go too deep with the punch, of course these mega sessions are only for patients with very strong that won't be overharveste. If a candidate has low donor quality, we won't recommend a mega session. -

Is 0.9mm punch size too large?
Doron Harati replied to Mak Sergejev's topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
I myself had 2 repair procedures by Dr. Maras at HDC clinic, in both procedures he used 0.9mm and I'm very happy. My friend documented on this blog his experience with Dr. Christina at HDC clinic, since he has very thick hair, she used 1.0mm with no issues, this procedure was done in 2018: https://www.hamushtalim.co.il/stories/2644/ -
When YouTubers get a Hair Transplant
Doron Harati replied to NARMAK's topic in Open Hair Loss Topics
This guy had no hairloss problem, maybe a bit NW1. He had a natural low hairline, I don't understand why ppl accept to do hairlines over and beneath the forehead muscle. Every 1 cm of hair costs around 1000 grafts. The hair angles are incorrect with double grafts (maybe some triple) at the front with symmetric hairline. When he's styling his hair, the pluggy look can fade out, this small part of the video resembles the core of this result. The public may think that celebrities can give some kind of garauntee for a top-notch job just because they have their popularity, but that doesn't mean they're professional cosmetic consultants, nor ppl that done a detailed research. Actually, many celebrities get botched or have bad results, especially when it comes to hair transplant procedures like: AJ Mclean, Nicolas cage, Kyle Christie, etc... -
Avoiding over harvesting
Doron Harati replied to davidk's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
Overharvesting and depletion can also occur from small sessions\1500 grafts. Big sessions over 6000+ grafts (if the donor is much higher than the average) can be done successfully, the key is to make a punch job not too deep with enough space between grafts. When hair mills do mega sessions they go too deep because it's make the punch job easier without any benefit for the patient, additionally they don't make space between every punch, even worse make a punch over a punch. You can read my 3 hair transplants journey, unfortunately my 1st horrific experience was done by Arenamed clinic in, they overharvested and scared my donor with 5000 grafts IN ONE SINGLE DAY without growth, you can see clearly they did punch over a punch. Then, I had 2 repair procedures by Dr. Maras, he used twice my sides head donor (I was lucky Arenamed didn't touch my sides), each time he used around 2500 grafts and I'm very happy now, my sides looks better than my depleted back thanks to a delicate job and can be even used for 4th procedure, you can see comparison photos on my threads. Our clinic perform over 6000+ grafts sessions with the right candidates. -
Yes we use dermoscope. We use 0.8-1.0mm, but the important thing is who is your surgeon. When we our doctors perform the punch they go slow and not too deep, when you go very deep it's much easier to punch but also over scarring the donor, a skilled doctor don't go too deep with patience, additionally our doctors create enough gap between every punch so we can do big sessions over 6000+ grafts (if it's a strong donor) without overharvesting it, this is what we show in this example. This is demonstration of Dr. Christina perform a punch procedure:

Affordable hair transplant recommendation?
Doron Harati replied to davidk's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
Our price at HDC clinic is 2.4 - 2.2 Euros per graft, it includes our free accommodations next to the clinic and a driver for the airport, you're welcome welcome to contact me for consultation. -
You have a good strong donor area, 5-6k session demands that only a high skilled MD surgeon will do the punch and incisions, these amount of mega session grafts take 3 days of surgery without rushing anything. In 1 session you cover the frontal area and middle scalp, maybe touch a bit the NW5 zone. Maje sure, the clinic you choose use microscopes to divide the single grafts for natural look so you won't have a doll hairline that can't be reversed. I was botched badly by a hair mill in Turkey named Arenamed with horrific experience, they overharveste and scared my donor with 5000 grafts in one day only and overdosed me with anesthesia, then ambulance camd to rescue me. Years later I had 2 repair procedures by Dr. Maras at HDC clinic, I was lucky because not everyone can have a repair procedure.
