  1. Awesome progress. You've lost a decade, man. You using any products to style your hair or is this look au naturel?
  2. It’s really coming through now. You can see the hairline filling in, and the temple points are looking much better. It’s framing your face in a way that was absent before. Compared with where you started it’s a massive cosmetic improvement. My guess is that in a month it will be difficult to tell you had a transplant. Also, don’t feel the donor area is as noticeable as it was before. I feel your hair skin contrast is high which has amplified it some. Has Dr Sethi remarked on this at all? So happy to see so much progress. You’ve been a warrior of positivity through all of this. A real example for other slow growers on this board. Can’t wait for month 7. Keep it growing, man!
  3. Ha! Will definitely be changing my avatar when I've completed my 1 year journey. I'm sure the team @Eugenix Hair Science will treat you well. You'll be in world class hands with both Dr. Arika and Dr. Sethi. Will be looking forward to following your transformation! All the best. -Fluff
  4. The last 2 weeks of month 5 I saw an explosion of growth in my hairline. All the fine singles suddenly just appeared at once. Was a very encouraging sign. I wore a hat constantly for 20 years. Can't tell you what a relief it is not to reach for that every time I want to leave the house. Just a freeing experience. So thankful for the team @Eugenix Hair Science for coming through for me. Hoping my 12 month results will be poster worthy for them. Thanks for stopping by my thread!
  5. I had limited work done on my temple points. At first, Dr. Arika said I didn't need it, but I insisted on having a small touchup. They implanted 60 grafts on each side. I'm thrilled with the cosmetic effect from such a small number of grafts. I agree with. you that when a doctor does good temple points, that's a solid indicator of their overall skill. Thanks for stopping by on my thread. I'm really happy with my results thus far.
  6. Thanks man. The last 2 weeks have brought an explosion of growth. Your day is coming soon.
  7. Hair was long for the faux combover I was rocking. Now that I have a hairline, it’s going to be short cuts and fades for as long as I can keep what I’ve got! 😁😁
  8. Today is technically 5 months, so I’m going to post a quick update. Will do a full featured report with different lighting, wet hair, etc. at month 6. Hairline has started to fill in and thicken up. I am seeing new shoots each week. Density behind the hairline is getting better too. I would say the result is starting to hit its stride. In certain lighting conditions, like bathrooms and down lights, it’s fairly thin looking, but it’s getting better all the time. I feel it’s looking less and less like I’ve had a transplant. Donor is mind blowing. Truly impeccable work. Dr Arika said she went 1700 grafts before she had a transacted follicle. The final result speaks to that. I can barely tell any density loss in the back. Current Routine: Finasteride 1mg x 1 Dutasteride .5mg 1/ week Biotin 10,000 daily Multivitamin daily Minoxidil - crown only - 2x per day. Pictures taken with no styling products or concealers, but I did take the dryer to the front to give it a standup look. Happy growing, gents!
  9. Genetics on my Mom’s side of the family were stacked against me - all the men are Norwood infinity. If I hadn’t jumped on finasteride my hair would’ve been toast. I’ve had numerous shedding events over the years, and each time my hair has grown back ever so slightly thinner. I haven’t noticed any of the commonly complained about sides. I will be on finasteride forever.
  10. As a leader and mentor on this forum, such a standout result could not happen to a better guy. So stoked for you @paddyirishman. The final result is going to be a home run for sure.
  11. Looking good! This is going to end up being phenomenal considering where you started. Thanks for the consistent updates. Can’t wait for month 6.
  12. Keep growing your hair out. I think the illusion of density is a critical part of the process. @Zoomster @paddyirishman and myself are all in this with you eagerly awaiting the great leaps in appearance. It feels good to know there is a band of Eugenix brothers out there who all had surgery around the same time. Seeing our collective progress has given me good perspective on the range of outcomes after 5 months. Up to now, you and I are on the slower side, but I remain bullish on a 12 month timeline. Keep the faith, brother. We are all in this with you!
  13. Just a mini update. Got my first haircut today, and finally got a good look at my donor. Gotta say that it looks almost untouched. Very impressed with @Eugenix Hair Science's work on the donor area. Super pro!
  14. Thanks, man! My hair is much longer than yours, so the growth is a bit more noticeable. I follow your post very closely, and If I were to compare our heads shaved we wouldn't be that much different. I too feel like the growth in my hairline is slow, but it's still early days. Months 5 and 6 are where the magic happens. Will keep staying positive and hoping for the best. Look forward to seeing your progress on May 22. Stay strong, bro.
  15. I am, but it’s not coming in as quickly or as densely as I’d hoped. It’s only been 4 months, so there is plenty of time left. Just gotta stay positive.
  16. Thanks! Hoping for more shoots in the next month. Yours is looking incredible.
  17. Definitely hope so! I use finasteride, biotin and avodart 1x per week. Have been on finasteride for 20 years.
  18. Yes, it has gotten better, but it's still very thin. If it keeps growing, the result will be nice, but if this is all there is I will be disappointed. Will keep you guys updated every month!
  19. 4 months in the books - 120 days exactly! I feel like I'm finally coming out of the ugly duckling stage, and I'm optimistic for the next two months which will set me up for the final result. I still haven't had a haircut or touched my head with scissors or clippers since my head was shaved for the operation. Will get a fresh cut tomorrow. Hairline is still thin, but it's starting to take shape. Under certain lights things don't look so great, but I'm remaining patient. Have included pictures in natural light, bathroom light, wet hair and a few pics outside. Want to give you guys a 360 perspective on what you might expect from 4 months of growth. I don't feel like an early grower, but I feel I'm on pace. No styling products or concealers were used in any of these pictures. Hope you're all staying safe. See you in 30 days! Fluff
  20. Whatever you do, don't stop finasteride. I have taken finasteride for 20 years. I have undergone many shedding events. While on occasion you will lose some ground during these events, most of the hair will come back. I know how you're feeling. During these shedding events you feel like there's no point in taking the meds and all hope is lost. Believe me, however, that you need to trust the process. If I were you, I'd also try throwing in 1 dutasteride 1x per week [check with your doctor first]. Take biotin. Use Nizoral 1%. Get a transplant if you want one. Understand, however, that hairloss will continue. You'll need to go back to get touched up in all likelihood. That's why the meds are so important. Keep what hair you can. Best of luck, friend.
  21. Thanks! I can definitely start to see things happening. Happy with the progress for 3 months.
  22. 3 months to the day of my procedure. I haven't cut, trimmed or done anything to my hair. I've let it grow wild. I definitely need a touchup, but all the salons are closed at the moment. Will continue to let it be until the quarantine is over. Feel my donor looks really good. Don't see any density on my hairline yet. I can definitely see small hairs popping through. Rednesses has subsided greatly. The minoxidil has created a hole on my crown. My crown area has always been really solid. Feeling a bit discouraged by this, but I think I've gone through some shedding and that's the reason why. From what I've read, I can expect to see results from the Minoxidil around June or July. Will continue to monitor. If anyone has questions feel free to ask.Looking forward to the next few months. I'm optimistic that my result is going to be good. Will update again on May 11, 2020.
