  1. Hahaha, thanks mate. Honestly not the worst outcome for us strugglers
  2. This is an awesome comparison, thanks Melvin! Weird to think it was almost 12 months ago haha
  3. Hey mate (and everyone), at 11 months. It's scary how quickly time flies. Honestly, not much of a change between 8/9 and 11 months in my experience. The hairs are pretty much the same, maybe a bit thicker, but some are still a touch whispy. I have been told they will continue to grow in caliber, but I'm not concerned either way. Here's some pics, let me know if you have any questions I am well overdue for a haircut, so the mop is very much in charge
  4. Hello everyone, thought I'd pop by for another update. I'm at about 5.5 months, and the hair is starting to take on the caliber of my non transplanted hair. It was really quite thin up until about a month ago. All in all still progressing
  5. Hey mate, I actually didn't get any. Perhaps this is because I simply extended my hairline from my frontal lock (which was untouched). So I didn't really design a hairline, I just had the corners filled in. Dr K said I could have gone lower, but I wanted to go super conservative due to my family history.
  6. Hey gang, I was speaking to Dr K recently, and he sent me some immediate post-op pictures. Just in case anyone wanted a good quality shot of what you can expect immediately after the operation - and how my hair was styled for a no-shave recipient procedure. My pics in the original post are pretty poor quality
  7. Hey mate, My pricing was a bit different to his current estimates. I actually booked in early 2020, but had to keep post-poning due to COVID and such. When I finally booked again late 2022, Dr K honoured the pricing model of my initial booking, instead of his new fee. So I really cannot say what his would be as of now. He is up-front with all his costs, if you email his practice, he will give you a run-down it's also different for FuE vs FUT. If you want a detailed breakdown, feel free to shoot me a msg
  8. Thank you, mate Great choice, him and his team are fantastic. Are you having FUE? I arrived on Tuesday, and had my op on the Wednesday. I ended up staying until Sunday I believe, and I am kind of glad I did. You could potentially leave a couple of days after, but I had a bit of swelling - and having an extra couple of days for the grafts to secure a little more is solid peace of mind. I'd stay 4-5 days, personally - but I'd check with Dr K, he will give you a detailed answer suitable to your operation
  9. Hey mate, thank you very much. I remember seeing how clean your work was when we last spoke - I'm glad it's still going well. I knew yours was going to end up really nice! All the best, and happy growing
  10. Hey all, progress pics at just over 3 months. Its starting to take a little bit of shape. Definitely very thin and still ugly duckling-esque, but definitely much different to month 2.
  11. Hey Archan, I ended up shedding pretty much all of it just after I posted the last images, haha. So it came for me in the end
  12. Hey mate, I had 1200 FUE with Dr K (amazing experience for what it's worth). I requested a no-shave of recipient, and he said that was fine. Of course the donor is shaved, but I also have long hair and the area I transplanted into was bald. I believe it will depend on your type of loss, and if you are transplanting into areas with hair (mind you, Dr K doesn't generally like doing this I don't believe). I was a NW 2/3, and just filled the corners. Here's what my hair looks like at 3 months, and how I style it to hide it. I cover the corners with a messy sort of part, but that's easy because I've always had long hair, even in the corporate world. So no one has even questioned it. I hope this helps. I'm also in a client focused corporate position, so having minimal change to my look was important to me.
  13. Hey mate, sorry for late reply. The areas implanted were pretty much bare, I'd say upward of 95% There was some small weak fuzz around the hairline, Dr K shaved it and placed some grafts in there. I'll see if I can find a better pre-op pic to show the difference.
