  1. Yes, the photos are from 2008 and the surgeon is still recommended here. But regardless of the number of years gone I feel my question of asking how often these surgeons are reviewed is a legitimate one.
  2. @Reina I did mention that both my preop and post op were taken when my hair was wet with the same slick back hairstyle. The preop hair doesn't show gaps compared to my post op look. My point was/is that the HT should have been much more conservatively done by the surgeon with only 800-1000 grafts in my estimate to the temples and the hairline. Or the surgeon could have advised me to return in a couple of years while trying the safer minoxidil. Keep in mind that I was a naive 28 year old then so I didn't know any better and was under the illusion that I would have a full head of hair and the surgeon never warned me about shock loss and how my hair would look worse in 12 months time if I was to discontinue taking finasteride.
  3. @jjalay Yes I now realise this when I look back at my photos. The surgeon in question would have known better and should have properly guided me. . Will pass on the name of the surgeon to Melvin via pm if he's interested to know who this person is.
  4. Photos of my pre and post HT both with wet hair. Notice that they are no gaps seen preop while 12 months post op they are many because of the shock loss to my native hair. Also notice that my temple area and hairline preop is fairly receded and this is what the surgeon should have focussed on. Instead 12 months on the temple and hairline looks just as bad. Seriously a complete waste of time and money.
  5. How often does a HT surgeon that is recommended on this forum get reviewed? Looking back at photos of my first HT the surgeon seemed to be very aggressive in his approach when he should have just added grafts to the temple and hairline . Instead he placed grafts in my hairline midscalp and close to my crown which resulted in a lot of shock loss to my native hair which then resulted in making my hair look worse 9-12 months later. I was a naive 28 year old at the time so I didn't know any better but looking back at my preop photos it makes me extremely annoyed that the surgeon took the approach that he did. So I am interested to know how often does do these recommended surgeons get reviewed and what can be done for a case like mine? I am not looking for any compensation but I want these surgeons to be held accountable if they've been negligent.
  6. @manutd4545 currently not on any medications. Here are some pre and post op photos from my first HT in 2008.
  7. @BeHappy Thank you for taking the time to look at my case and for providing your positive and helpful feedback. You make some excellent points which I shall take on board when i decide to get my next surgery.
  8. @Melvin- Admin Would you please be able to look at my pictures and provide your opinion on what maybe the best step forward for me? I was a member of this group in 2009-2013 and I remember an admin named 'taking the plunge' advising me then to wait until I was in my 40's before deciding to get a second HT (was in my early 30s then). If only I had taken his advice. Mind you both my HT surgeons were recommended on this forum, one who I don't see anymore while the other still remains. When I showed my photos to Dr. Jose Lorenzo a couple of years ago he was surprised with my results given that I had a total of 5000+ grafts as he felt there was very little to show given the number of grafts placed. I know that this will be my final HT if I was to get one so I want to do the right thing by going to the right surgeon etc. With all your experience and knowledge would you say I am better off waiting till my 50s for a HT? From my observation the top-sides of my hair hasn't experienced much hair loss while my temple points including hair above my sideburns has lost a considerable amount of hair to the point that the hair above my right sideburn is very bald including the temple point. Is this even a normal hair loss pattern as I was alway under the impression that hair above the sideburn stays? I most likely have about 2500 grafts left. Your thoughts/opinions would be appreciated and if its best in my interest to put off a HT altogether then I will consider this as well. Thank you.
  9. @Tommy1991 I'm considering Dr Pittella or Dr Zarev as I've been very impressed with their work
  10. @manutd4545 difficult to say as I feel the hair lost is mostly native but you never know.
  11. I've had two FUT hair transplants. First HT was in 2008 where 2700 grafts were extracted followed by another in 2011 where another 2700 grafts was used. Now I'm considering a 3rd HT but would like to know whether I can actually benefit since I only have around 2500 grafts left in my donor area? Currently not on any medications and I am 42 years old. Any suggestions/recommendations would be appreciated. Thank you.
  12. I just read what you wrote about your hair transplant being placed behind the hairline so I'll remove what I wrote earlier . As you mentioned you will be consulting with Dr. Sethi tomorrow so you can always update us then.
  13. Yes image from the front so your hairline is visible showing what your hair looked like before and after.
