  1. Thanks everyone for the input - really does help a lot to calm my nerves. I will make sure to report back for others' benefit in the future.
  2. Hi guys, I'm coming up on 1 month from surgery now with no visible improvement to the donor area. I know someone said to give it at least 2-3 months but I'm seriously scared - what happens if it is because of overharvest? Will it never grow back and I'll be stuck with this empty patch at the back of my head forever?
  3. Hi, I'm about 3 weeks post-op. Starting at almost 2 weeks in until a few days ago, a lot of my transplanted hairs were falling out - anytime I ran my fingers through my hair, all over my pillow etc. In the last few days though - I've noticed little to 0 hairs falling out - and a lot of the transplanted hair in the crown is still there. Does this mean that shedding has stopped or will it pick up again? Will all the transplanted hair always shed or is it possible that some will stay?
  4. Hi, I recently got a hair transplant where they covered the 2 worst areas, the crown & the front left & right (I guess basically a combo of Type II and Type IV). Prior to and after they shaved my head, everything else looked kinda alright, I guess my hair is reasonably thick & curly so when it was grown out I couldn't notice and when I shave well - it just looked really short. Now that it is growing back in a bit, it's pretty clear how much thinner it is on top though. I'm worried that now I've had the HT on the crown & front, the middle is going to continue falling out and it's just going to look really weird and I doubt I'd be able to afford the time or money to get another HT any time soon. Has anyone else had a similar experience? I've been doing a lot of research about Fin & Min lately, but they both seem to have pretty frightening side effects. Even if it's a low probability - I've read quite a few stories about sexual dysfunction which is scary for obvious reasons. Also - aren't fin & min mostly effective on the crown only? Or do they help the middle part too? If one were to start Minoxidil today, at what point would one have recovered (meaning - mostly regained losses) from the potential minoxidil shedding? Where I'm currently at attached (2 weeks post op). Arrows indicating transplant areas - if it wasn't already obvious.
  5. Hi Guys, I've had a hair transplant on Oct. 7. Obviously, it still looks pretty awkward, but I'm in the fortunate position where I can wait for it to grow out in relative seclusion for some time before having to see friends/family/coworkers again. I've got about 10 weeks in total from the date of the transplant to when I need to get back to the "real world" so to speak. Is that typically enough time to get to a look similar to where I was prior to the transplant or would it still be obvious that something is off?
  6. Thanks both for your replies. It's my first time doing this so all manner of fear is manifesting and I was kind of freaking out that something might be wrong & it won't grow back. That makes me feel a lot better. I will post updates in 2-3 months!
  7. Hi, I had an FUE hair transplant on Oct. 7, 2019. Most of my normal hair is growing in fine. However, the donor area still looks very patchy, thin, and uneven. When I looked at other people's images online - their donor area seems to grow in at the same length as the rest of their hair and you wouldn't be able to tell the difference. Is this normal?
