  1. You need to double your budget. You can't get a safe option for under 4000€.
  2. 5,000€ for your situation isn't very much. You could get half of your head addressed, basically leaving your crown for a second transplant. Turkey has a lot of problems and they produce many botch jobs, but there are many countries I wouldn't go to, including Australia, UK, India (with the exception of Eugenix). Turkey can be a great value but you'll hear lots of FUD and this forum has a bias towards expensive clinics (as do I). Facebook and Reddit are biased towards the budget clinics. So do your own research. Here's my advice, don't go to Instagram for research. They use filters and have millions of fake followers. Does anyone believe Sule Hair has 3.2 millions followers... or HOI has 4.5 million? Trash. Your best options are Turan or Gur from FueCapilar or maybe Demirsoy. You can get up to 4,000 grafts and that would make a huge improvement.
  3. Robinhood and university grants aren't salaries. You asked about an individual's salary. Melvin doesn't make recommendations. There is no conflict of interest. Would you ask for the salary of an employee of Robinhood? This site is not without bias, but Melvin does a fair job at being neutral and always points to the recommended list, which mentions the financial relationship with the doctors. (I don't recall this disclaimer in Spex's ridiculous list of top 25 docs, for example) For a site that is built on members like you and I, that doesn't cost anything, it's about as fair as you can get.
  4. That's silly. When has anyone providing you a service given you their salary? Even salesmen don't offer that and they are very biased. Anyone willing to share their salary clearly isn't making very much.
  5. There are lot of threads here with real repairs. Here's a recent one. The temples are terrible and needed to be removed. https://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/topic/64494-dr-mwamba-june-2022-asli-tarcan-botch-job-repair
  6. Bicer is a tough sell for me at 2.5€, as you said, Turan and Gur are half the price and *real* close in quality of results. If you can stretch to 3€, go to Pinto or Ferreira in Portugal or Ximena Vila in Spain. They are doing very good work.
  7. A second transplant isn't necessarily a "repair". Even if the first one had low survival, I would think any clinic could handle that. A repair, to me, is one that requires removing bad grafts, filling in bald spots in the donor, or working around lots of scars. I know they do plenty of beard extractions and when I was there they were working on a patient that had unhappy results from another clinic. But I can't recall specific cases on here like that. I would think any top clinic handle this.
  8. Everyone here will tell you the same thing... get on meds to control your hair loss. Finasteride requires a prescription in Canada, but it is very cheap. 1mg per day is standard dosage. I would also add minoxidil foam daily. You will likely regain some hair with this alone and may elect not to get a transplant yet. But HLC, like many other reputable clinics, will want you on finasteride for a year before having a procedure. Especially at your age, since you are probably going to continue to lose hair without meds.
  9. I don't think he's a troll. (yes, I'm assuming his gender) He's stirring it up an that's funny at times. He's obviously been around longer than his account has, so I can't disregard his opinions completely. And really, nearly everything he says I kinda agree with. He just doesn't have a filter. haha
  10. If Bisanga will be there overseeing during the extraction and implantation, why not? It'll have to be up to his standards. Here's a neat thread where Dr. Kostis got himself a transplant. You can kinda meet him.
  11. Dr. Kostis was there when I had my procedure with Bisanga. Almost a year ago. As I understand it, he was shadowing Bisanga. So he has been mentored and learning from Bisanga for a while now. You'd be getting a deal at half the price!
  12. I don't think I'd call Eugenix a hairmill. But they are high volume. And yes there is a bit of group think around the clinic, as well. Not entirely undeserving. The reason they wouldn't be in my top 10 would be that they are viewed at the standard delivered by Dr. Sethi, who I think is excellent. However, most of the cases are not performed by him. If he's the benchmark, how many of the patients meet that level? Same could be said for HLC. I think the best results are coming from a few of the doctors, but not all are hitting that level. They wouldn't make my top 10 either.
  13. If I recall, when I was there, Dr. Akin did the beard work on a patient that was there. Matt Dominance had his beard done at HLC. He has a couple videos. Here's a good one.
  14. Funny story about your jetlag, haha! One thing that HLC does that I don't see in other places, is the conversation about graft density and options. Usually, it is "you need 2500 grafts" and then they draw lines. HLC draws the different zones on your scalp, gives options to different densities, etc. And the grafts you need is based on the Area X Density. I'm sure others do it, but I haven't seen it. Take care of those grafts! I'll watch your journey!
  15. This is cool, here you can see the technicians using the KEEP implanter tools. I was really impressed with the care Bisanga gives to angles. I think you'll have a great result!
  16. I can see why you're not totally happy. It looks like many grafts didn't survive. You're certainly better off than when you started, but you will definitely need another transplant. Fortunately your donor seems ok. For now you can try fibers to reduce the thin appearance.
  17. Hey, that spreadsheet looks familiar! Haha! HLC loves density. Like with my head, they treated your tuft of hair as if it's already gone. I suppose it wasn't necessary but it's their strategy. I'm starting to think adding Cialis to one's daily routine is a good idea, at least for the first 3 months of recovery. It improves blood flow in tissue. It should help with survival rate. Something to think about. Good luck!
  18. I think MinoxidilMax has a liquid min/fin combo without PG. Look up Maxogen-X
  19. Yes, it is well known he has a limit of 700 grafts per day. Is he still doing manual extraction and stick & place for implantation? How long was each day?
  20. Bisanga is kinda the king of early growth. This looks amazing! You must me excited!
  21. Bisanga gave me 1 stitch when he had to punch out some hair with a large punch in my donor area. It's cool to see you have that done too. It looks like perfect work. Night and day difference. I can't wait to see the results!
  22. Mashallah! I lived in Dhahran for 6 years. I had booked with Dr. Keser in March 2020, but covid cancelled everything. Keser's hairlines are so good. It will be a great result!
  23. I would say traditionally, no. Those parts of the head are prone to thinning due to retrograde alopecia. But I was 50 years old at the time so it was relatively safe to extract from those areas on me
