  1. 😁 I saw a guy in a restaurant with a bloody head and a headband on and I thought that was brave, but clubbing, top lad!
  2. That's interesting your barber doesn't use clippers. You get a more professional looking cut like that I think. I assume this is quite a high end barber you go to? I would interested in having my hair cut this way too. Your hair looks great, btw. Congratulations!
  3. Another very insightful video by Dr Bhatti He is a real character! I appreciate all this content - really valuable insights for the hair transplant community 👍
  4. Looks great at just 6 months, considering the say the crown takes longer to come in. What did Dr Konior say about that? Did he mention it would take longer for the crown to kick in compared to frontal areas?
  5. @Mane_man2019 everything looks great! Very happy for you. Thanks for documenting everything so thoroughly and honestly on YouTube especially... I think the most impressive is how natural it looks, the donor is impeccable and the hairline is thick. Meanwhile they really targeted the problem areas further back.
  6. Looking good. Gonna be a success, no question!
  7. Right, and if anything too much promotion puts me off. Feels like I'm being spammed. One clinic in particular is guilty of this, not mentioning any names 😁
  8. Can anyone answer his question? Is there any justification for buying Propecia vs generic fin? I note from someone’s thread which popped up the other day Dr Koray prefers ppl take proscar (in 1/4s) rather than fin 1mg
  9. I linked a video elsewhere today, by Dr Bhatti (Indian surgeon) where he discussed cutting up the proscar tablet. He says it’s most likely that when you do this some days you’re getting 1mg and other days 1.5mg (for example) due to the inaccuracy of the cutting mechanism. Whether this is a good thing or a bad thing is a whole other can or worms, because there is an argument that this up & down dosing is beneficial! Who knows. In the end all that matters is how it works for you. Take it and see what happens!
  10. I follow Darling Buds Clinic (India's #1 clinic 😉) on YouTube and the past week or so Dr Bhatti has been killing it with helpful videos on many aspects of hairloss Very good video here on fina & dut https://youtu.be/9lRZn2elrAI He recommends taking finasteride at night because T levels peak at about 1am due to the body's circadian rhythm and fina's half life is only 6 to 8 hours (10:20 in the vid) This is interesting, I never heard this recommendation before. Can anyone comment on this?
  11. Hair looks great Danny! Thanks for updating us and the honesty of your pics is appreciated.
  12. This looks great. I went FUE first for better or for worse so I’ll be following this with interest. Why did you choose Dr Bloxham is he local to you? Or simply the best man for the job?
  13. I think @Gasthoerer has been very helpful to you on this matter here Another surgeon to consider is Hattingen in Switzerland, I don’t know if they specialise in repairs really but I do know they are highly skilled and highly ethical.
  14. I think the problem is you have to register to see the patient results section. There’s a whole folder dedicated to HLC. Something to do with EU or German privacy laws or something I think?! Anyway it’s free to register so no biggie 😎
  15. This is an outstanding hair transplant @jame$ congratulations! You were an ideal candidate, in fairness - your donor is very dense even after this procedure. But all credit to Dr B. Magician!
  16. Hi @RonBurgundy I don’t think we’re supposed to link them. They are pretty easy to find on google. BelliCapelli, Alopezie and International Hairloss Forum are the names. Are you considering HLC?
  17. Thanks for this reminder. Melvin your hairline design is superb. Your surgeon knocked it out of the park!
  18. How can you recommend Devroye after the way he treated @transplantedphil
  19. Hi @miko well I think between the German, Italian and French forums there are probably over 100+ patient reviews A member from here @Mane_man2019 has posted monthly updates on instagram and his result at 6 months is looking A+ There is a guy on YouTube "Jonhello" who posted monthly updates I also got talking to a former patient on a private Facebook group and being able to talk to him was very helpful to me
  20. Hey @Min12 I mean there is a picture in the OP of my hair pre surgery that was taken about a week after a haircut. I don't generally buzz it v short at the sides. I found a pic from 2017 when I was experimenting with an "undercut" style it's pretty blurry though!
  21. I *think* it's been proven that endurance sports e.g. marathon running or long distance cycling crush T levels, anecdotally I know when I trained for a marathon my sex drive plummeted as the miles went up. How this relates to hair loss isn't clear to me. For example Chris Froome is balding very badly. If it was as simple as hammering the cardio to halt hair loss that would be great but I am not convinced.
  22. Hi @LonelyGraft thanks for your comment First Ozgur looks at your hair "as is" - pre haircut - he examines the donor, looks at the growth pattern and talks about what you want Then the hair is cut to about 1 cm all over and he looks at it again Then the hair is cut again to about 1mm and this is when the pens come out and he starts drawing a hair line. One of the things that really impressed me about HLC was the experience was exactly "as advertised" so this photo (taken from Instagram) shows exactly how it works during your consultation - you're in the room you see here, and the docs are all in front of you looking at the hairline and offering input. Docs wear the navy blue shirts. Techs wear pink. Once it's designed you look in the mirror and have the opportunity to change it if you want to. Once the hairline is finalised they take a tracing of your head onto some kind of perspex which is marked out in 1cm squares - by doing this they can calculate the graft requirement exactly according to the density in the balding areas. He gives you options and discusses it with you so you can think about your budget and expectations etc. We agreed on Frontal hairline 42 cm square @ 50 = 2100 grafts Behind hairline (frontal third) 25 cm square @ 20 = 700 grafts Crown 70 cm square @ 30 = 2100 grafts Re doctor allocation - no idea how this is decided. They talk to you in English of course, but talk among themselves in Turkish. Maybe they look at hair characteristics or something? It was Dr Elif who did all the extractions and implantation - a huge effort on her part, it was 3 full days of surgery done exclusively by her. Most other people I speak to seem to have a combination of doctors doing extractions and implantation. Techs assist in sorting grafts into singles, doubles and multiples, and storage of the grafts. The only person who touches your head is the doctor.
  23. Looks outstanding You must be delighted considering we’re only at 5 months!
  24. Hi folks. Hope everyone is coping as well as can be in the current circumstances. I've just taken some pictures to document my 2 month mark. My wife is always telling me that I am a terrible photographer, having to do these "hair selfies" (helfies?) I am starting to see what she means 😂 I reckon I shed about 80% or 90% of the transplanted hairs between weeks 4 and 6 roughly. The situation now is that I haven't cut the hair at all (can't do it now even if I wanted to) so it's just grown since the HT into the state you see today. I think it's all healed pretty well and I am looking on track I think. There's not much to say other than I am fully in the middle of the dreaded "ugly duckling" phase. Donor seems to have healed well which is nice, I would say it looks identical now to pre op.
  25. Hi pal I went to HLC in Ankara Turkey. Will be updating as soon as I get the opportunity to take pics! Happy growing 👍
