  1. This is my second hair transplant with Dr. Hasson. I had 3400 grafts with him in 2019. This time we added 2400 more grafts as I lost volume, due to native hairs falling out since 2019. Grafts were also added to the crown and to slightly lower the hairline and temple on the left side.
  2. So would you say the use of minoxidil liquid right after a steam shower is what caused the hair growth?
  3. I’m trying to figure out if the hair growth from 2014 to 2015, was because of doubling the dosage of finasteride. does anyone have experience with increased hair growth by doubling finasteride dosage.
  4. A few years back before I had my transplant surgeries, I played with the dosage of finasteride from 1mg to 2.5mg and I believe it made a difference. The only other thing I was doing different was using liquid minoxidil right after I took a hot steam shower. I can’t recall why I stopped using 2.5mg. Anyways, here’s two photos of before and after. No product was used in the after photos. The hairs gre longer and I had more volume to push my hair up. do you believe increasing finasteride dosage helps?
  5. How many grafts did they use? How many do you have left do you think?
  6. Is there any value using oral finasteride AND topical Finasteride at the same time?
  7. @Doron Harati So you are saying you also got better growth (crown area) with the topical version of finasteride?
  8. Do generic drugs work as well as brand name drugs? I take generic finasteride, and I am wondering if there is a difference with Propecia?
  9. Yes, he dense packed. I wondering if I have more multiples versus singles. I guess I do, and thats good in order to achieve density. That's what I am trying to figure out.
  10. In my first surgery, I had a total of 3,400 grafts put in. When I asked the doctor's staff the breakdown of grafts they said this. Singles: 400 Multiples 3,000. Without getting the exact numbers for 2,3, and 4 grafts, do I have high density multiples? Would 3400 grafts yield more singles for other patients?
  11. According to this doctor in the video, dutasteride works better for the front and middle of the scalp while finasteride works better for the crown. is that true? If so, does it make sense to use both?
  12. According to this study by Dr. Sinclair and Dr. Vano, topical minoxidil can work much better with the addition of SULT1A1. thoughts?
  13. It gave me pressure over my eyeball. Do not try it.
  14. I saw a video that Dr.Bisanga recommends massages the head. Does someone have this video?
  15. What should one do after having surgery to help expedite hair growth and survival? 1. I saw a video of massaging the head to improve blood circulation. 2. what vitamins? 3. what about oral minox? 4. Laser cap? Finally, my doctor wants me to take oral Dutasteride. Should I take a month or two before or once I have surgery?
  16. A few pictures of trouble areas I noticed the year after surgery on 2020. and a photo showing how my vertex hairs thinned out in 2022. Basically, the area where the surgeon did transplant grafts down the vertex, and area on the left temple that perhaps grafts didn't take have thinned out.
  17. I've been losing my hair since 2006. I've been on oral fin and topical minox for the last 17 years. I had my first transplant in 2019 where they dense packed 3400 grafts. Unfortunately, after a few years, the hairs have thinned out again. (I am 40.) I had an in person consultation with a very good doctor, who said the following. I have plenty of donor hair, he measured 70cm2 with mostly multiples in back still. (My dad at age 74 still has tons of jet black hair on his sides, despite being bald on top.) The doctor had some concern about shock loss and suggested I take oral minox for 3-4 months before having surgery. He said I have a lot miniaturized hairs. I want to go back to him and say, no to oral minox as I don't want to take this medication for the long term. And I want to suggest I take oral dustasteride instead, which I don't have concerns taking. Does this make sense? And/or can I say we dense pack grafts to offset any hairs lost to shock loss? The previous doctor did this in the first surgery in 2019, so why not now? Can I get people's thoughts? Attached in this post are my pre-surgery hair, where they added grafts during my first surgery, and post surgery photos. In the second post, I am uploading photos of my hair as it is currently. Thank you.
  18. Perhaps its because it takes 9 months to work? Thoughts? I can't imagine HW would push a product that doesn't work. I'm not promoting the product, as I've dropped over $1K on three bottles of top dut with no results yet. Today marks exactly full 6 months of use. I will use the product until this last bottle lasts. After that if no results, I will drop it.
  19. No sides from using topical dutasteride. (|Xyon). But almost 7 months of use every day and no change at all, except maybe more hair loss from shedding.
  20. 5.5 months in. thoughts? Something has happened to my hair. I feel like the hair is resetting. first photo is feb. second is today. Same locations/same lighting.
