  1. You're going through the shedding phase, which is common with both minoxidil and finasteride. Keep taking it. It's an effective medication
  2. This can be done but you're still early at 8 months. It can take up to 1.5 years to see full results. Also, you shouldn't get another hair transplant surgery for at least 1 year after your prior surgery. Are you on finasteride and minoxidil? They can both help
  3. I've heard tons of stories like this about this particular doctor. Is he involved at any point in the procedure? You should also post this on Reddit. Thanks for sharing your story. I suggest you also consult with @DrTBarghouthi. His work is consistently excellent and he has the utmost ethical standards
  4. I know @Dr Blake Bloxhamhas worked with a lot of high Norwood patients. You should consult with him.
  5. Are you on finasteride and minoxidil? Do you have photos of your donor area? It's true that the crown is a tougher area to work with so you have to select an excellent surgeon. You likely need about 2,000 grafts.
  6. The earliest most surgeons will operate on a patient is 25. You are aggressively balding and should talk to your doctor ASAP about starting oral finasteride and oral minoxidil.
  7. This is an incredibly detailed and helpful writeup. Thank you for sharing. Dr. Konior is truly an artist. Please keep the community updated and happy growing!
  8. You should reach out to Dr. William Rassman and/or Dr. Parsa Mohebi. I think Dr. Mohebi and Dr. Diep trained together and Dr. Rassman trained both of them
  9. You might be able to achieve good results using beard and chest hairs. You'd have to pick a very good surgeon who is experienced in cases like yours
  10. Dr. Mohebi does excellent FUT work. Do you have the laxity for another FUT procedure? 5-6 FUT procedures is a lot of FUT. If not, you may want to consider FUE.
  11. Great results and it fits in perfectly with his existing hairs. Thanks for sharing
  12. If it's working and you're not having any side effects, continue taking finasteride
  13. Your scalp donor area is poor, as others have mentioned. You do have ample beard hair though and that can be used as well. You look to have DUPA and retrograde alopecia. If not already, you should see your doctor and ask to be on oral finasteride and oral minoxidil.
  14. Your numbers are WAY off (by a factor of 10). Overhead costs are also a LOT higher in Western countries.
  15. Awesome results, especially with the number of grafts involved. Thank you for sharing
  16. Beard hair can be used and it tends to be thicker than scalp hair. It does grow more slowly than scalp hair. We typically use it for filler purposes behind the hairline, around the crown, etc.
  17. @Dr. Glenn Charlesdoes FUE megasessions and his results are consistently excellent. He's based in Florida and is an elite coalition member, which is the highest level of commendation on this forum. You can get a free consult with him from his page here: https://hairtransplantnetwork.com/dr-glenn-charles
  18. Looking great so far buddy. Thanks for sharing and keeping us updated
  19. As others have mentioned, you should see your doctor and inquire about starting meds ASAP. My regimen is oral dutasteride 0.5mg every other day and oral minoxidil 2.5mg daily. You have retrograde alopecia as well and your NW level is also high. You might be able to regrow back some hairs and improve your NW level and thus require less grafts via surgery. I suggest taking meds consistently for at least 1 year to gauge your progress. In the interim, save up money for a great surgeon. Do you have good beard and chest hair? Where in the US are you located?
  20. Dr. Taleb Barghouthi is an excellent hair transplant surgeon. He's located in Amman, Jordan. I've tagged him here @DrTBarghouthi
