Not important difference to pay the higher price. Select the lower package to save money.

But if selecting Dr Kostis then it's not a top tier doctor anymore, in that case I could have decided other doctors / cheaprer perhaps as well.
But from the other hand 7 euro per graft which an estimated of ~3000 grafts (and this may be increased amount during the procedure) not including 21% VAT is a lot of money.

I really want a good doctor to do my procedure but I don't know if it worth that kind of amount of money, and if I decide to compromise on Dr Kostis will it be a better choice to think about "top 10-20" doctors instead?

  2. Thanks guys for your informative responses 🙂

As for Dutasteride, I'm a little afraid to take this medicine duo to the fact it's not FDA approved for hair loss cases and because of its more aggressive side effects than propecia, especially the cancer risk (even though it's written to be very rare).

So without Dutasteride I guess that my only solution is hair transplant, and if that's the case, then how long would I need to wait or to what level of baldness should i reach before approaching to such surgery? because at the moment I have super ashamed with my situation and use Toppik regularly and deny from myself to go to swim and other activities that I would do if I wouldn't hide my situation.

the good news is you don't have much hairloss.

Your crown is starting to thin but it's still at the early stages.

I would try a stronger stack before going into surgery.

Try Dutasteride 0.5mg daily, oral minoxidil 2.5mg daily as well as Fluridil or RU58841 once daily.

Give it a good 6 months.

Surgery is always last resort. Fails, poor growth, subpar results, botched jobs often happen as you know and even with a great surgeon results are not guaranteed while grafts are limited...

If the stronger pharmaceutical stack doesn't work then Pinto, Bisanga, Ximena Vila, Zarev, Pitella, Ferreira are capable of achieving good results on diffuse thinners  and are good for crown work specifically. They are expensive but still affordable you are looking to spend anywhere from 6k to 10k.

I guess you don't need more than 2000 grafts.

I like Dr. Umar and Dr. Konior in the US but they are both crazy expensive.

But again. Do your research and don't rush.

Surgery is always a risk no matter how reputable is the surgeon you choose.

And of course you should avoid turkish hairmills. The SmileHairs, the Ciniks, the Veras, the Balwis, the Serkans, Acars, Korays, AsliTarcans etc....You may be lucky and get and outstanding result for 3 times cheaper but you may also get destroyed for life. It's russian roulette.

Last thing try to use some of those beard grafts to preserve your donor as much as possible !

Thank you so much for that answer! much appreciated.

As for a stronger pharmaceutical stack, I kinda afraid to take so many drugs, especially non-FDA approved.

And as for the rush thing, in 3 months I have a vacation window of about ~1.5 month so I'd very much like in that period of time to finish my research + schedule a surgery appointment.

I really liked your beard graft solution to use as less as possible grafts from my head for future surgeries as of course I still shedding and will have a regression in my hair as the years goes by.

You mentioned so many clinics, how would you suggest to continue with my research? Should I email to these clinics and see other people results looking for a similar shedding pattern as mine? (mostly crown, and a bit on my forehead I guess) Does these clinics use beard grafts as well?

  4. Hello everyone,

I'm almost 27 years old and after around 3 years of trying Finasteride + Minoxi + PRP treatments without a success (to-recover new hair and even to maintain the current hair situation), I think the surgical solution is inevitable. I'm still taking Finasteride only right now because I afraid that after leaving that medicine my hair case would be even worse.

I'm a newbie in this forum although I was a bit active 3 years ago, so if there are more info that I can read it will be great but since some of you already made your research and have some experience with clinics, it would so appreciate if you guys could address me to the best clinic for my case, honestly, I am just looking for like the best one to fit my needs.

So here are some photos with flash, which a bit exaggerate my situation but at least you get clearer photos.

As you may notice the front line is somewhat okay, but the edges are quiet more diluted, and the middle scarp and the back need more work.

My boldness is somewhat unique and "uniform" across my head, that's why I really need you help to address me to a good clinic.

I also took a picture of my beard so it may be used as a donor as well.

How many grafts do you think I'd need to cover mostly my crown & middle scarp, and maybe a bit on my forehead at the edges?

Thank you so much in advance for the help! 🙂

it would really means a lot for me to get as much help as I could.

If you are willing to try everything then you should take the time to read all the post on my thread...all the info is on there.

Dr Pen A6 derma pen, 12-Pin needles cartridges, stamp all over my scalp 1x @ 2mm every 7-9 days and 1mm every 3rd day. Minoxidil foam applied an 1-2 hours after.

I stopped Minoxidil foam 1.5 months ago but now contemplating using it again as I’ve shed some. Also using castor/coconut/emu/peppermint oil mix 2-3 a week and Nizoral shampoo 2x a week.

I bought something that matches your description from AliExpress, hopefully it will come soon and I could give a feedback on that.

Apparently, this Hair fact kit is very good. A lot of people use it.

I use Adgain plus as below. I have found great results with it.

I couldn't find a place to buy them, do you have any by any chance?
By the way Gabreille, you said that propecia didn't work for you for a year and then it started kick in? what happened in that year? hundreds of hairs were shedding like I do?

I think you should continue Finasteride and Minoxidil for longer. I had the same experience when I started these medicines. But after a year, I started to see their effcets with regards to the growth and complete hairfall stoppage as well.

    You should:

    1. Add hair specific multivitamins to your regime

    2. Increase your protein intake

    3. Manage stress efficiently

    4. Have a work out regime

I don't think that anything else is required. Also, PRP could help boost the effects of medicines.

1: Could you please give an example to such multivitamin? although in my last blood check everything was fine?

about 2, 3, 4:   I work out 4 times a week, and take a lot of protein, no loss in that matter.

I didn’t see any progress from taking and using Finasteride and Minoxidil on and off over a 15 year time span...until I started microneedling w/Minoxidil.

Go check out my thread...info is all there:

    r

I read your topic, but could you please explain more how to use it, and where can I buy it? I'd like to give it a try.

Guys thank you so much for this help, I am willing to try everything, if you guys think more methods could work, please let me know

especially on the more reliable like Dutas?

The toppik won't get washed away in the pool if you use a heavy hold hair spray. I use tressemme hard hold. DermMatch is waterproof, so if you're looking for waterproof concealer this is a MUST HAVE. I combine both hair fibers and dermmatch, because hair fibers do a good job of thickening small hairs and it looks natural. DermMatc is essentially tint. Therefore, it's good to add a hair fiber that will make everything look a bit more natural.

In terms of hair sprays, I found that Tressemme works well, but if you really want to get nuclear you can use bed head-hard head hair spray nothing is coming out of your hair.

Thanks a lot for the answer! :)

So humm I don't use a concealer but only toppik and it looks pretty natural right now, so from what I understand you use it to give an extra fill-up in the exposed area, but if in my case toppik is enough, I shouldn't use it just for the water area, am I right? or this product will give an extra-safe in the water?

And about the spray-holder, why you use then treeseme hard hold instead of head-hard hear hair spray? because it does the work too and you are fine with it?

By the way, I want to order one, is it that product? https://www.ebay.com/itm/Bed-Head-Hard-Head-Hair-Spray-TIGI-10-6-oz-1-pack/174002232602?epid=10028315584&hash=item2883575d1a:g:EEoAAOSwL8FdWpko

and does it smell good? I mean I use right now something that has really good smell and I think it's important, or at least natural smell.

Thanks once again, I feel like I just discovered a whole new world because getting into pool or to the sea is a really big issue for me, and if I managed to solve that problem it means a lot, I'll of course update once I order the necessary equipment.

So basically few questions that I have from the video

I use toppik already using a spray holder as well, but when I go to the shower and wash my hair, I do see on the floor ( obviously ) the product washed away,

Now, what's the difference in the pool? I might test it first in the bathroom already

Now, I never thought about combining the Dermmatch with it since I don't know whats the benefits of using both of them since Toppik already to the job ( at least for me since my crown isn't THAT exposed, I think it's a bit more than yours )

Btw, the spray holder you use is meant / purposed for water things? or it's just a normal one? since mine is really strong but never tested underwater.

Would be glad to hear more about it!

    Thanks.

  9. Another update: it's been 3 months and 1 week, the side-effects are stable I guess, but I don't see any improvement in the shedding ( not even thinking about re-cover hear that already shedded )

I also take rogain that doesn't seem to help either.

    what are my options now?

    Maybe I should try dutastreid?

  10. Another update: so the side effects are decreasing fortunately, but I don't see any results in less-hair-loss,

how long does it take until i will see at least stop in hair loss? it's been like 2 months almost.

    maybe i should consider dutasteride?

and what about 10% mixonidil will cause allergies as well?

i use right now the foam minoxidil but i don't see any results

  11. Ok so it's been like month and half i guess, and the situation is stable, and i mean it's okay even though the decrease.

now my question is: i dont yet see result, i still losing hair, maybe A LITTLE less but yet, losing hair

i also use rogaine because the minoxidil made me itching,

    what else can i use?

the minoxidil 10% will made me itching too?

or maybe to move to Dutasteride?

  12. Hello,

I started 2 and half weeks ago Propecia, and I noticed lately that I have decrease in libido and in keep erection,

I've heard that these side effects can't stop after a while?

my question is should I stop now using propecia, or maybe giving it few more weeks to see if things get better?

    Thanks in advance.
