  1. Another discussion point is the harvesting of the nape area in fue. Many post op pictures shows hair harvest well into the nape sometimes even the lowest hair in the neck and above ears. These hair are outside the safe zone, do we hear on 10years more or loss of transplanted hair with fue?
  2. Hi All Nowadays FUE is the preferred choice for most patient and doctors, especially in Europe (American top doctors still favour a strip in some cases). Some top doctos marketed on this forum can now do up to 3500 grafts in 1 day FUE while this was 2 days only 3 years ago. Why is this? (Eg F and B in Belgium as an example) given I won’t be using finasteride due to long term concerns but I am using nanoxidil spectral dnc-n and supplements there is a big chance my hair loss will continue slowly from nw3/4 to 5 in 10 years I am 37,started loosing at 20 but progress is slow and mainly frontal, I am a nw3, borderline 4. I am now 37 and have mainly lost my frontal third (15%left). I have been recommended between 2100-3000 grafts to restore the front by different doctors, all recommended outside dr Epstein and all FUE. My concern is depleting my donor for future procedures. Is FUE overdone these days and for long term planning it’s better to go for a FUT. my guess based on family patterns is I will maintain the vertex, loose the front and part of crown(which I am not concerned about). I will clip my hair to a 3/4 blade min so can conceal a strip. I would like to have a reserve left in case I need another procedure in 10 years. another concern is visibility, if I won’t be seeing family and colleagues for 5 weeks would they notice a procedure outside the shorter cut? Will redness be highly visible? many thanks.
