  1. You only have two posts and both are advertising that clinic. If you want to advertise, you need to register as a commercial account.
  2. I've heard a lot of good things about Dr. Karadeniz in Turkey, so I reached out to his clinic via WhatsApp. Apparently his prices have gone up, and they've added two new doctors. So now I can choose between $2000 for a tech-performed HT under supervision of Dr. Karadeniz, or $1500 for an HT performed entirely by one of their new doctors, Drs. Elvan Abras and Nilay Gul. I've never heard of either doctor and an internet search didn't show anything either. Their customer rep said the websites for them are under construction. But $1450 for a doc-performed HT sounds great. What do you guys think? Does anyone have experience with this clinic or those doctors?
  3. Thank you for the detailed response Dr. Barghouthi. You helped me answer my question. Dr. Kul's price actually makes him more trustworthy because it's competitive with the clinics at 1euro/graft. In my case I'm lucky enough to need a relatively lower number of grafts, so the price is almost the same as tech clinics like Cosmedica. I think the aftercare is what sells it. I may get less grafts, but I trust a doctor's commitment to his work more than a random tech's.
  4. There are dozens if not hundreds of successful HT stories from reputable tech clinics on here. Though I will concede there are also failure stores as well. Cost may be only part of the consideration for you, but for me it's the biggest consideration. I can afford one or the other: 2500 from a doctor or 3500 from a tech clinic with doctor incisions. I get what you're saying and appreciate your feedback though.
  5. What's up my fellow hair loss warriors? I'm in a position where I can get a 2500 graft HT done from start to finish by Dr. Kul, or 3500 grafts by techs in Dr. Acar's Cosmedia clinic for the same price. Dr. Acar would be doing preliminary incisions but nothing else. Both are in Turkey and seem to have good reputations. What do you guys think? Which will yield better results: 2500 grafts placed by a real MD, or 3500 placed by techs overseen by a doctor? Which would you do in my situation? I'm currently a NW2.5 stabilized by fin. Here's pics for reference. Cheers.

  7. Your advice is true, and I wish I could follow it. However, the only reason I'm in a place to get a HT at all is because I'm getting a scholarship to study abroad, and I'll be in the area. So transportation costs are eliminated. And as I'm sure you know hotels are included with HT costs in Turkey. I have just enough saved for a 2500euro HT, but any more will cause a serious strain. If I wait, I'll have to save for transport AND the possible extra money anyway. That won't be for a few years down the line and I want to have every advantage I can get while still in the college dating pool. As someone who left to work once, I know dating gets a lot harder after college.
  8. Hey all, I should one more question: If I only need 2000-2500 grafts, would I be better off going to clinics that charge 1euro per graft like Dr. Kul, where the doctor does the procedure himself? Thanks lads
  9. We are (or were) in similar positions. Our facial frames our similar too, so your story is very helpful for me. The tough part is graft count. If they only do 2000-2500 grafts, I could go to a 1€ per-graft clinic like Dr. Kul where the doc only does one patient a day and is more involved. But if I end up needing more when I get in, I could be in the hole for another thousand euros.
  10. fespafer, Your results look very promising! I think in a few months you'll have great hair. I wish you the best of luck. I see you're pleased overall with your experience. How did the clinic seem? Some people complain that these clinics are like factories turning out patients as fast as possible, and that you barely talk with the doctor. Did your experience feel like that?
  11. Hi Luke. Thanks so much for your detailed and honest review. It's helped me select my clinic, and therefore by extension help me turn my life around. I've recently contacted a few clinics including Dr. Cinik. I asked Cinik's office if he performs any part of the procedure for the basic package and they said he doesn't. But you seemed to say you paid for the basic package and that he performed different parts of yours. Do you know why this was the case? My full post is here. Thanks and congratulations on your amazing results. Your hair looks fantastic.
  12. My fellow warriors in the battle against balding, I've decided to take the plunge and get a hair transplant! I'm going to be in Europe this summer anyway, so now's the time. I'm a 25 year-old Norwood 2.5. I have a naturally large forehead and a widow's peak, so my hair loss is especially pronounced. After I started balding I went from having fair success in the dating field to struggling. It's done a number on my self-esteem. So, this is much-needed. For my budget I have to go to Turkey (or Hungary, but I don't see many reviews about Hungarian clinics here). It looks like Cosmedica, Clinica, and Dr. Cinik are the more reputable budget clinics. Cinik seems to be the least mill-like and have the happiest legitimate reviews. I contacted all of them and have some questions: My experience communicating with the clinics hasn't been anything like what the others are saying. The whatsapp conversations seem pushy and blunt as opposed to the pleasant conversations others have reported. Is this how they start out until you commit to one or am I getting a bad bunch? Or should I be using a different method of communication? Cinik's assistant (Sera) said that for the "standard" package, Cinik doesn't open the channels. But there are reviews on here from people who seemed to pay for the standard packages that say Dr. Cinik performed some parts of their procedure. Especially this great review from lukeyb1687. Both Cinik and Cosmedica said 2000-2500 grafts seems appropriate. Would more yield greater density or a lower hairline? One said I can come back again, but I know these clinics do 3500+ grafts in one procedure, so the number isn't the problem. I just don't want to be stuck looking thin and pluggy or still have a massive forehead when I don't need to. Are there other clinics in the 2500 euro range that are equally reputable? Maybe even one with more doctor involvement? This is my first post on the forums so I hope I've followed all the rules. Cheers guys.
