It was when I went for FUE and they shaved the area that I found the 2nd scar. it runs about an inch below the FUT scar, but it is not as prominent. When I went down the stairs as a child was over 70 years ago. At this point I doubt that I will ever get a real answer, but I thought it interesting. I am totally convinced that their was only one strip, and they only removed staples from one incision. You would have to know me. I retired as an auditor, and I keep track of everything, including blood tests from 20 years ago. LOL

In Oct, 2008 I had an FUT procedure done transplanting 2000 grafts. In Oct, 2018 I had an FUE procedure done and they shaved my donor hair revealing 2 linear scars in the donor area. I can tell you with 100% certainty that their wasn't 2 incisions done. I was conscious during the entire FUT. I have not had any other head injuries. The lower linear scar must have happened some time in my youth, but it mimics the appearance of the real FUT incision, maybe just a little dimmer. The only thing that comes to mind is the family story of my brother and sisters pushing me down the basement stairs when I was very young. I was too young to remember it, but they always talked about it. LOL I did end up becoming the Black Sheep of the family.

OK, perhaps I am ignorant of this type of surgery. I had FUT and the only incision was on the back of my head. I did not know doctors would make an incision in such a visible area as the temple. Even plastic surgeons make their incisions in front of and behind the ears. A forehead lift can include an incision on the top of your head in your hairline. Am I reading this guy wrong or what. Perhaps he is talking about the tiny cuts used to implant the grafts, but then he should make incision plural.

Not a nicotine product, but I used Chantix throughout my recovery. If you can afford it, I highly recommend Chantix. With BC/BS my co-pay was still $135.

I have never fasted as long as you, but I encountered no problems. I do supplement vitamins.

The consensus is do nothing. Most of us would kill to have your hair, and your ability to kick ass.

You should have included pictures, and tell us your age, 1300 is not a lot of grafts, and the price sounds pricey.

I expected a real horror show from you post. Hang loose, 1 month is nothing, talk to us in a year.

Well, I had both done, I had no significant recovery pain with either procedure. It was more like an uncomfortable feeling. The numbing shots for FUE were horrible - the 2nd worst shot I ever had, 2nd only to a shot in the end of my big toe. I just sat there for the FUT numbing and strip removal. The actual FUE harvest was not bad only the horrible numbing shots. After FUE the back of my head felt numb for about 2 months. For some reason your link does not work , but I just pasted it in the url and it worked. There is something strange about how this was posted.

Not bald enough, the hell they say. You have less hair than I did before my first FUT of 2k transplants in 2011. I had 2.2k FUE in 2018. You didn't mention how your donor area is. Give more info and the guys will kick in here with advice. I would go FUT, then FUE, but that's just me.

Since when is FUE less painful that FUT? Also to maximize harvesting FUT is usually done first.

The shots in the donor area had me squirming like a toad. This was for the FUE. The FUT was easier.

At 8 months you are right on the borderline of where you may or may not have reasonable results. Even if you have average growth you will be presentable if your surgeon is good.
