  1. Hi everyone, long-time lurker, first-time poster. I'd like to start by apologizing if this was answered before but I couldn't find my answer in the search. So I had an FUT procedure about 7 weeks ago, and the recipient area looks fine so far. Way too early to tell if it'll work but so far no complications. The donor area however might be a different story. I recently went in for my 1-month post-op and the doctor didn't notice anything unusual. They did remove a stitch that hadn't dissolved. However, I've noticed there are 2 or 3 points along the scar line that keep scabbing up, and that are a little painful to the touch. Sometimes even just water pressure from the shower can cause a brief, sharp, needle-like pain in those spots. I don't feel them during the course of the day for the most part, however. I'm concerned that perhaps something is wrong in these areas that isn't resolving itself. The rest of the donor scar seems well on its way to healing, but the spots mentioned are clearly bothered by something. Could it be more stitches? I actually pulled what seemed to be a very tiny, white thread out of one of the scars a couple of days ago. Could it be ingrown hair? If it is, why has it kept recurring? I'd like to know if these things are normal, and if I should just leave them alone to sort themselves out. Or is there something more I should be doing? I've attached a couple of photos. Thank you!
