  1. I don't want to derail your thread and your awesome results too much......I thought it was slowing filling in but I kept my hair relatively long since the transplant (way longer than I used to be able to). The longer hair was able to conceal the spot for the most part and so it didn't bother me too much until I recently got my hair cut shorter (maybe 1.5 inches long) and the gap is so obvious. You can pretty much see where the transplant hairline line was because the hairs on the very furthest out of the transplant are there, but there is not much at all immediately behind those initial hairs. For some reason they didn't grow much. When I style my hair properly (comb it over) and use topix it is much more difficult to see it but when I don't it looks pretty dumb in my opinion. I'm too scared to take a closeup picture without topix to see how bad it really is eek
  2. I'm jealous! Your second one turned out amazing. Must be so refreshing to not have to worry about missed spots or concealing. You are lucky you are relatively close and had the job situation to be able to go back so soon. I was pretty pleased with the things were going on mine for the first 12 months or so but not anymore. I have a pretty bad spot on one side of my hairline. If I don't comb it property and use Topix it looks ridiculous. So frustrating. I would try to have him fix it but its so far away to travel that far from US.
  3. Congrats, looks amazing! Can't believe it's already been two years to the date since your first one.
  4. Awesome, looks great! Look forward to seeing your next update! I'm still pretty happy with my transplant when I was there with you your first time. There are areas of course I wish were thicker/better and I have to have it styled properly but I've very happy I did the transplant.
  5. Looks good....Just curious, did it seem like a lot of the same employees were there from your first procedure? Did you have different technicians this time?
  6. I can see where you would want it better in certain areas but from the pictures I do not see a reason to be "not happy" with the results. While mine too could definitely use more density in certain areas, I've been very happy with it. Are they doing the second transplant for free?
  7. I'm surprised nobody responded. This seems like a great result from what I can tell. Comparing your pre picture to these pictures and it looks like a total success. Did you see much growth after the 10 month mark? That's where I'm at now after asmed.
  8. I have similar problems as you- very weak behind the hairline, especially on my left side. Though with mine, if I try to wear my hair down like yours the empty area looks super obvious. The only way it looks decent is if i wear it straight up in the front with hair spray almost creating a wall with the hairline and coming other hair over so you can't easily see the empty area. Your's looks great in the pics when it is down I'm still hoping mine is going to improve over the next 3 months but I'm losing hope. Like yours, I don't think mine is a botched failure, but I think it should be beter behund the hairline. It seems to be a very common problem now with ASMED.
  9. I had my procedure 7 months ago. It took me 3 MONTHS before I was willing to show my head at work and that was with me applying makeup. No clue how you all could return 3-4 weeks "unnoticed".
  10. Thanks for updating. Yours looks great in some pics, iffy in others (lighting I’m sure is a big part of that as you mentioned). i think it looks much better than your before pics so it is definitely not going to be a failure, it just may not be as dense as you are hoping for. I’m pretty happy with mine SO FAR however I definitely have a density issue behind one side of my hairline. When I style it properly, I think it looks pretty good but if I don’t have it styled with hair spray it can look sparse in that area. I think we both need to hope for the best over the next few months. If mine gets 25 percent better then I think I would be very happy with the result. I’ll try to update my pics in the next week.
  11. Wow you are brave to pick a random place like that.
  12. I had mine done at Asmed in March. So far at 7 months I’m happy though I’m definitely hoping for some improvement the next 5 months. Just realize that everybody’s body is different and will react differently to a hair transplant. Even the best doctors have bad transplants. It also come down to cost. If you have a lot of money, then there is no reason to go to a place like ASMED but rather a more high end surgeon that will do most the surgery himself or at least in the room with the technicians for most of it. But ASMED was less than half than what I would have paid for a top doctor in the US which made it much easier for me to commit You have to have realistic expectations and not try to get too aggressive. Doing a transplant without committing to taking finasteride for most your life is also a mistake If you can’t commit to the drug, then I wouldn’t commit to a transplant
  13. I think the first problem here is how aggressive they allowed you to go on lowering the hairline. Very difficult to lower a hairline that much and look natural. They set you up for failure.
  14. I recommend finding the surgeon with the absolute longest wait list as you don't need to have another surgery anytime soon.
  15. Seems good to me so far! Hopefully things keep progressing the next few months for you.
  16. I didn't mean to sound too negative in my post, we are both still far too early to know our results. I am mostly happy with mine at the five month mark, but still need LOTS of improvement the next five to seven months for it to be a success. I think yours will be a success. As we know, hair transplant pictures can be very deceiving based on lighting, angles, hair style, etc. Putting the pictures in harsh conditions is the best to not camouflage the results like some do.
  17. Kraistoff- How do you think it compares to where you were at for 5 months? Hopefully not the case but it seems to have the signs of the new "signature" look that most recent ASMED hairlines have where it is patchy in at least one of the areas behind the new hairline. Mine appears to be the same (Templerunner and I had the surgery on the same day). Hopefully it's just a 5 month thing for us.
  18. Here are my 4.5 month pictures. I'm still not good at taking these pictures but I don't enjoy it so no re-dos. Much improvement from 3.5 month, but still FAR from where I want to be. It's pretty obvious in the pictures which is the transplanted hair. As long as it keeps progressing each of the next six months I think I will be happy in the end. I'll get a haircut before my next set of pictures which hopefully will contrast the transplanted hair better.
  19. Not to derail your thread but i am curious what type of work do you do that allows a 4 month vacation? Here in the US unless you are a school teacher, taking anything beyond two weeks is pretty unheard of. I've been out of college for 10 years and the longest vacation I have ever taken is 5 work days. I only took four days when I went to Instanbul for hair transplant (though i can work from home which helps).
  20. Wow that looks amazing for 4 months!! I think you are on pace for a very good result I will update mine in the next few days. Mine is not nearly as good as yours yet but it’s gotten MUCh better the last couple weeks so I’m excited.
  21. You need to wait a few YEARS years before you have another surgery. Just because a doctor says they will perform a surgery that will make you look better now doesn't mean they care what you will look like in 10 years. It is a business and they want your money.
  22. Like I've said multiple times before, it is a waste of time trying to put any sense into him. If I recall, he doesn't take finasteride, minoxidil, or any supplements. He began searching for new surgeons after only about 5 months. He is under 30, had two transplants, and wants a third before he is 30.
