I'm jealous!  Your second one turned out amazing.     Must be so refreshing to not have to worry about missed spots or concealing.    You are lucky you are relatively close and had the job situation to be able to go back so soon.

I was pretty pleased with the things were going on mine for the first 12 months or so but not anymore.  I have a pretty bad spot on one side of my hairline.  If I don't comb it property and use Topix it looks ridiculous.  So frustrating.  I would try to have him fix it but its so far away to travel that far from US.

Yeah distance can be an issue. so does work. the "spot" were not there for the first 12 months? is it new? can upload a pic?
If you can do a touch up!

  2. Hey all, last update. it's been 12 months since the 2nd HT. I'm super happy with the result. The hair is thick & looks good and I can style it however I want with out any limitations. no need to hide or cover any problamatic area.

I get alot of compliments and every one ask who is the surgent and do I recommend him. For me the answer is absolutely! Thank you guys for all the support in the dark times!

  3. Hey all,

    7 months update.

I am super happy with the result thus far. ASMED did a great work. I'm getting alot of compliments from friends and familiy. the density allows me to comb my hair up which i like.

I can say that i had my doubts on coming back to ASMED for the 2nd HT after I wasn't happy with the density of the first HT - Now i can honestly say I did the right choice.

some pics are with wet hair (I know I need a hair cut :))

Congrats, looks amazing!  Can't believe it's already been two years to the date since your first one.

    Yeah time flies!

Major change from 1st HT to 2HT for me.

    Now i'm very happy.

I also know that 95% of my growth is between 4-6 months (from the 1st HT), So for me this is the end result, and it's totaly great for me

  5. Hey guys it's been about 4 months from the second HT.

The density greatly improved - i can finally style my hair upwards and not only down

it's still not 100% but much much better than before - so I'm happy.

judging from my first HT my growth is between month 4 and month 6 and that's it, so I have 2 more months of growth I guess.

I'm happy with the result thus far and believe it still going to   improve.

Asmed clearly did a great job this time.

See you in month 6 :)

  6. Hey all,

Just wanted to say that now, after some of HT hair shed, I can see the 1st HT hair in short hair - it looks bad sparse and really thin. seeing that, I think that i needed much more grafts... but no point in dwelling... whats done is done.

also, i'm pretty sure that the back area of the temple points will be still sparse. i'm saying it with great sadness

  7. Hey all,

    10 day post op update.

the scabs are gone, and the density looks good. I just hope all the grafts will survive.
the back right side is a bit less dense than the back left side, but with longer hair i hope it won't be noticed.

I really hope the first HT hair will continue to grow normally and that it wasn't harmed during the 2nd HT, and i won't suffer any kind of shockloss.

the donor area is healed and there is no scars just a little bit of redness but it's normal.

i took pics in 3 different lightings (daylight, camera flash, and warm light)

  8. yeah i take fin for the last 10 years soi will continue to do so.

To my opnion, The explanation I got may explain part of the reason. at the middle of the hair line i got poor growth and it can't be explained with doubles growing as singles, because the hairline should have singles anyway and it still grew with poor density. I don't think that there is 1 particular reason.

what he did defferently this time and I hope it will make a difference - is that he used another microscope to examin the grafts and the strong once he place in a stratigic locations - rather than just placing the graft based on how many hairs they have.

  9. Hey everyone,

Quick update: I arrived yesterday to instanbul and did a pre-op checkup and cosultation with the Dr.

Everyone in the clinic, the Dr and my coordenator, suzana, is amazing and i get the feeling that they will do anything they can to insure my satisfaction.

In the consultation, I asked the Dr the "big questions" - Why did the hair grew with a mediocure density and what are we gonna do differently this time to change that.

He examined me, before and after the shave, and he came to the conclution that even though most of my grafts were doubles (2.1 average) i have alot more singles. He explained that we do not see bald areas, but the density is more or less the same through out the HT area, that means the graft did grow but some as single instead of doubles.

I asked him what is the cause for that, may the grafts got hurt in the proccess? He said that it happen some times when one hair is strong and thick and the other is weaker, and the medical sience do not know yet the particular reason for it. He said propecia reduce the chance for it to happen, but overall it's just happens.

He said that 1200 graft should give me more density, and now because the area is not totaly bald like before, he can do better desity as he is doing less incisions close to one another and more incisions between the first HT hairs. With this number he took in the account that some doubles will grow as singles even though it's been 1.5 years and it's not neceserly going to hapoen again - just to be safe.

Before I came the number i was thinking about was 1000-1200 so his plan is reasnoble in my opinion

I also said that this my sec HT and i don't want to come back again- and i want to be setisfied with outcome - the Dr really appreciated that i put my trust in him once more, even though i'm not happy with density and he promised me i will be happy this time.

I'm not a negative person, and the first HT really improved my situation 1000% than before, so i gave him credit where i thought he did a great job:

    1. The extraction was a masterpiece in my opinion - all the hair dressers i go to are amazed - no scars, even extraction - looks completly natural.

    2. The hair line is exactly what i wanted (even though lack in density). No zig zag, no doubles, fits perfectly with the shape of my head.

    3. The temple point are also very nice and natural.

    4. When i comb my hair down it looks great, the lack of density do not shows.

So the op is monday 7.9.20, wish me luck!

I trying to me optimistic and stay positive. Lets hope that in 8 months i will update you guys that i'm super happy!

Here is me with shaved hair- not so bad ;)

  10. Hey Kaya,
No i did not get a reason, I was told that the DR will examin me when i get there, and determind the reason for the poor result, and also the grafts number for the 2nd HT.

I think the garantee don't worth much. i had a garantee the 1st HT :) and look where it got me. also i have a limited amount of grafts and i need to think about the future...

It's incredible how large of a difference there is between your good pics and the bad ones.

Thank you for showing both sides of the story.

yup, when i comb it down i get nothing but compliments and it looks very good. when it's up i look like a sick cat :P

i guess the reason is that when i comb it down some of my original hair is covering the HT area, also it has this hair style has less volume so the hair is not spread and it needs less hair for full coverage.

I can see where you would want it better in certain areas but from the pictures I do not see a reason to be "not happy" with the results.

While mine too could definitely use more density in certain areas, I've been very happy with it.

Are they doing the second transplant for free?

To be clear - it's much better than before - that's for sure.

but it is really sparse and thin.- see another pic

i hope a sec HT will do the trick.

i got 1 month off work, i really hope that the hair from the first HT wont get  a shock and shed aswell... my hope is that after a month the original hair +1st Ht hair will grow nornally.

    yes this is a free.
