  1. Few questions for you if you don’t mind.. What dosage are you on and how long? Is it expensive? Are you seeing results?...better results than liquid or foam if any?
  2. I would also consider going on oral low dose minoxidil to not have to use the messy liquid or foam...just not sure yet and where to get it...How would you obtain it, Melvin?
  3. I don’t think derma rolling has any affect against DHT or T...unless it’s done more frequently than once a week as I’ve not taken Fin in over a year and a half and I have stopped minoxidil completely 7 months now and am microneedling 2-3 times a week and still see the gains staying. One theory is microneedling increases growth factors to dormant or new follicles with new blood supply and better oxygenation, and that more oxygen in the blood to the follicle might prevent DHT from doing its damage along...but that needs study....so if one has high DHT the Fin is likely needed to keep the new gains.
  4. Yeah...definitely look into it...since you are using Minox & Fin already adding a derma roller or derma pen will likely boost your hair gains as it’s doing for many others...but give your HT results some more time before adding..just to be safe. Ive tried LLT when it first came on the market as a brush years ago...IMHO it’s overpriced bs and same for the helmets...I’ve not been impressed compared to the Big 3 (Minox/Fin/Nizoral) & derma roller. Not a fan of FIN nor DUT here because of their systemic actions but if you can tolerate them without issue more power to you...I believe supposedly a standardized extract of Saw Palmetto functions like DUT...so if you can’t get DUT maybe look into adding SP(standardized extract)
  5. I hear ya man, the year-round “winter” bulking via pandemic shutdowns not helping me any haha..
  6. By the way...after you’ve waited say another year for your full results...if not satisfied with your crown results...you might wanna add a derma roller & Minox...just saw this guys results...thought it might interest you since your crown obsession 😉
  7. Haha your first paragraph. 😉 Yeah, if I had the grey hair and beard from that dude who started BeardBrand I’d rock it happily...maybe when I get older ha!
  8. Just saw this guys update with his scalp massage/microneedling/Minox routine (He got an HT but seemed unhappy until he started this routine...and IMHO amazing results for 3 months..
  9. Fair points....although even Fin & Minox have their limitations. And hate to sound like a broken microneedling record...but thats likely they only current natural way that has been proven in studies to help grow/re grow hair alone some but way better in conjunction with Minox, Fin..and from personal experience as well as many others adding it to their “Big” 2 or 3 or 4 routine it’s growing in popularity whether the person uses a derma roller or a pen.
  10. I don’t grow a beard because there’s too much grey and white as much as I’d like to...but I don’t want the dye hassle...thankfully tho my face shaved looks younger than my age...as I’ve been told so I stick to that haha.
  11. Hey man, your progress looks pretty good for less than 7 months, especially the frontal area. That said, your crown looks to be improving and from my experience it definitely can take anywhere from month 15 up to 24 to see the crown results fully.
  12. Can you describe how involved and what parts of the procedure are done completely by the Doctor and if any, those of his assistants/technicians/nurses?
  13. Great results! Congrats! ive seen many of your Docs impressive videos on his YouTube channel over the past couple of years but never saw any patients give their own review, great to see!
  14. I have to disagree. There is a study that compared peppermint oil to minoxidil 2% on mice and the results where similar if not better...Does it do the same in humans...well I personally used peppermint oil in conjunction with microneedling and scalp massage (no Finasteride and stopped minoxidil last year) and saw/see results, especially in my crown where I did not have a lot of grafts placed. There is also growing interest in that scalp calcification contributes to chocking off the circulating blood flow to follicles furthering the damage done to them by DHT & T.
  15. Steve definitely went to a good doc as I too noticed how good his results looked compared to his early Daily Show days to the Office days to Space Force and his recent films. Another one that looks good in the music world... that I noticed last night watching SNL was Machine Gun Kelly’s HT and FUT scar camouflage during his performance. Speaking of SNL, I noticed watching the movie The Heat a few days ago to current look, that former SNL alum Taran Killem looks to have gone through with an HT as well...
  16. Crazy that it’s been almost a year since your HT...and it’s turned out fantastic...and likely to get better up till month 15-24. Congrats man!
  17. It’s likely due to the strength of the blood supply and time it took for vessels to form surrounding the graft as it grew...but im sure a professional HT doc would know for sure.
  18. Your progress is coming along very nicely! 👍🏻 Your donor and haircut fade looks great!
  19. Go luck with your routine progress! Have you seen an improvement now that you’ve past a few months?
  20. Always follow your surgeons instructions with aftercare , but personally for myself, I applied the spray liberally every 30 minutes for 3-4 days maybe more, post ht.
  21. Looks fantastic! Slick styled-hair! 👍🏻
  22. Looks fantastic! Natural hairline and good density so I’d say home run! Congrats! Just to add, it’s good that you didn’t go with a lower hairline, this one definitely suits your look and hair type.
  23. Work and donor looks great, great work by the doc!
  24. Nice progress! And I agree with the 👆 comment, the hairline looks natural, nice work by the Doc. As for the difference in growth from left & right, I had the same, then it got better and caught up, so worry not.
